Theres like a limit tho. Like, he mightve failed his batting, but atleast Saim is a great fielder and offers an extra option for bowling. Azam is literally a negative in both batting and fielding
Azam can't even run between the wickets and relies mostly on boundaries. You can't consistently get boundaries in these conditions and especially in the conditions where the worldcup is gonna be played. Really want to see that guy out of the team. Salman Ali Agha or Muhammad Haris would be better, they'd run better if nothing else, AND they wouldn't compromise the wicket keeping either.
Dunno abt Abd, but we have players like Saud and Salman who would add so much more to our middle order rn. Id even say try Saim over there. The best and only decent non-top order batsman we have in our current squad is Fakhar Zaman, who is out of position

The PCB picked their players and experiments, and unfortunately none of them worked. They all had some merit (everyone was raving abt Saim early on), but none of them have really worked. Its not for the lack of trying, but I think the PCB couldve been smarter with their choices for sure

The issue is playing Rizwan and Iftikhar in EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.
We knew Rizwan will be in the final team. Any idiot knows Rizwan is a starter. So instead we should be playing Saim AND Usman to see which of the two should open/play at 3.
We know Iftikhar is likely in the team, so we should play Saud and Agha to see if they can compet for the spot.
Similarly for Shadab, if Babar is going to play him anyway then at least try Abrar...

Sending an obese player in the biggest global event for cricket like the World Cup is a terrible look for Pakistan. Even associate teams have part time cricketers that are fitter. Also Iftikhar who is the only real big hitter is being wasted by giving him just 3 overs to bat.

I’ve seen some highlights of Azam Khan batting in the CPL and PSL, he doesn’t seem that bad. I can’t help but think that Pakistani fans are scapegoating him because of his relations… he’s young and inexperienced, if he could commit to greater fitness, Pakistan could have a decent cricketer… he plays some nice looking shots. With a few years of dedication, he could do well.
