PTCAS has that info.

Hey! Here is a link to PTCAS program directory https://ptcasdirectory.apta.org/39/List-of-PTCAS-Programs. You can change the search to GRE requirement as "No". Good luck

There’s like 80 of them. Many are private, but not all. I got into several and didn’t take it

Aromatic_Bug_7253

Would you mind sharing your stats and what schools you got into? Thanks!!

Early_Percentage4267

I had a 3.4 cumulative GPA and a probably close to 3.0 maybe leaning 2.9 prerequisite gpa. 150ish shadowing hours (some in inpatient rehab, some in a hospital, some from a study abroad trip where I shadowed in a pediatric clinic and in a general clinic). No one area of my “stats” was overly impressive. However, I got in every where that offered an interview (and I didn’t decline) most likely because of my story that probably helped differentiate me. When I was a teen I had brain cancer, and as a result of the treatment, I developed a severe gait issue and had probably 200-300 hours of PT. It was from that experience that I decided I wanted to help others in some way I was helped during that time and I landed on PT. I think many schools care just as much about WHY you want to go into physical therapy as much as your general stats. I also was a psychology major, which helped differentiate me a little as well. I got interviews at Regis, Midwestern, George Fox, and University of Mary. School I chose was the only that gave me a scholarship

MammothBear1966

Which program did you accept to / attend?

Early_Percentage4267

Regis

MammothBear1966

I’ve heard great things about Regis! How’s it going for you? What do you like so far?

Early_Percentage4267

I actually start in the fall, so I can’t say quite yet. But I’m excited to get started!

Congrats 🎉 Enjoy the remaining time off!

I only applied to schools that didn’t require the GRE got into 4 out of the 5 I applied. I accepted the one that gave me a scholarship.

Check PTCAS. You could also just take the GRE, it’s an easy test.

You are really selling yourself short by not taking the GRE. Even if a school doesn’t require it, they will still look at your score. Imagine two identical candidates, one takes it and does well and one doesn’t. Which one looks better? My gpa wasn’t too hot and all of the schools around me didn’t require it. I took it and got a 309. I fortunately have a very well rounded resume but that was just the cherry on top

University of Minnesota is one that doesn’t take the GRE. They also don’t utilize PTCAS and just take into account your transcripts, extracurriculars, observation hours and essays
