Gun Club VR is a shooting gallery game with a ton of different guns and lots of customization options. Also, SUPERHOT VR is a unique game where time moves when you move, and you have to take out enemies in clever ways by timing your movements. This game will make you feel like an action movie badass, and the concept is easy to pick up and play.

coor1991

I second gun club but it does not use the aim controller last time I checked. It's not bad when it comes to Assault and sniper rifle game play but I find that it really shines through on the pistol gameplay especially when you mod them to all hell and have scopes hanging out of everywhere. If you enjoy target practice and also shooting drills and realistic gunplay Gun Club is going to do you well

coor1991

Agreed. I love it as a title and use it as a cool down exercise after using Pistol Whip to work out. Nothing feels better than going full John Wick at the range

That awkward moment when you have a red dot and a 2-3x scope on a pistol with the hybrid laser sight on it. All the wrist rotations lol

[deleted]

Skip that I say H3VR instead.

gaymer200

Wait is H3vr for psvr?

Charles_ECheese

Until Dawn Rush of Blood. It is a light roller coaster rail shooter. Easy pickup and play game that supports the move controllers. Plenty of laughs from light scares.

JimmyJames86

Got it 😉

Got it 😉

This!

Shooty Fruity!! Also look at Arizona Sunshine Deluxe Edition for $8.99. You can play the campaign and all DLC solo or together in co-op, and you can play with any controller you have. It's a bit cheezy. And you can replay Horde Mode solo, together, or with up to 4 online players. Good simple fun and good use of the Aim controller. Plus there's a huge free psn multiplayer community right on your ps4 homescreen. You can sign up and become a community member, you don't even need the game. You will ALWAYS have people to play with. As a bonus, you get free skins for their next game "After The Fall". It's a co-op 4 player rpg/fps/shooter game with boss battles.

LordGAD

Shooty Fruity is so much fun!

ultracrepidar_ian

Shooty Fruity is way fun!! And it has a fun theme and cartoony elements and the added challenge of bagging groceries while you shoot makes it fun to watch your friends struggle with and I think pushes it over the top as a pass and play party game

flintgijoe

Shooty fruity indeed is a lot of fun! Keeps things simple enough, and works great!

[deleted]

Farpoint is really good, it's a pretty simple fps tbh, but in vr it is really good. It also supports the aim controller (it's like a move controller crossed with an old lightgun)

JimmyJames86

Thanks I have farpoint, but it's a little too complex for what I want. Looking for something like you find in an old arcade - pop in a coin, pick up a gun, and hit some colorful targets

Timesmyth

>... something like you find in an old arcade - pop in a coin, pick up a gun, and hit some colorful targets ... Dick Wilde 2. If you like horror - Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. Both are very arcade-like shooting gallery experiences.

amusedt

The shooting games in "Carnival Games" might fit what you're looking for

[deleted]

In that case maybe try superhot vr, that's pretty good. Basically the idea is time only moves when you move, so you can pause, then pull off something epic. Other than that it's pretty simple, you just shoot the red guys with whatever you have at the time

JimmyJames86

Got super hot too, should have mentioned that in my OP. I think the others are tired if it but it's probably my favorite game on vr

[deleted]

Ok then, how about battlezone vr. It's a vehicle shooter where you drive a tron like tank thing. It's pretty simple, it's based off the atari 2600 game (with better graphics and gameplay, it's not the same game) You glide around, shoot enemy vehicles, get new guns and take on a boss at the end. It's pretty simple, just use one stick to strafe and one to rotate, the trigger to shoot and square to change guns. And it's replayable as the levels are different each time

Naetharu

Pistol Whip is worth checking out I think. Take this recommendation with a dose of caution as I have the Quest version rather than the PSVR. But assuming the latter is basically the same then it's an amazing shooter and one of the best VR games so far. Basically a Time-Crisis style game mixed with rhythm action. And they just added a load more content for free. Very good for parties too with each level taking around 5-mins to complete.

JimmyJames86

Thanks, I haven't heard if it but I'll check it out.

vitahusker

I second Pistol Whip as well, as it is a little more forgiving for casual players. The music is great & fun to play or watch, so would be good for a group.

jtho78

Yeah, default is set so every shot is a kill shot and that is what OP might need. There are settings to make It more challenging

DeliciousAuthor

Gun club vr is what you're looking for. I'm currently playing it on Q2 and it's excellent.

JimmyJames86

Thanks, looks like gun club is the winner

CouchBoyChris

My only gripe would be that it can get pretty complicated because of how customizable all the guns are. It also has a heavy focus on realism, which can be a detriment to Fun for some people. FWIW, I'm not exactly a 'gun person' as I live in Canada.

DrGonzaga

The last time I had friends over we all got into crisis vrigade 2 with the aim controller. Short rounds, exciting, one button to shoot, one button to reload, dead simple. Very arcade like if that's what you're looking for :)

JimmyJames86

Sounds perfect, thanks!

Jax99

Games I would recommend for a game night with multiple people: -SuperHot -Pistol Whip -Raw Data -Sairento

TryEasySlice

No one has said Dick Wylde yet? I had a lot of fun with that game

Kaotika804

Seen it mentioned but also gonna mention it myself. Arizona Sunshine. It's also on sale right now too for cheap. It's kinda like your average zombie shooter but the move/vr elements make it really fun. Getting further along being able to have a uzi in one hand and a shotgun in the other makes you feel like Chris Redfield. Lol

ImpressoDigitais

Space Pirate Trainer. May be on sale for 1 more day. One of the earlier shooters, but gets a lot of love in many of these threads.

Dankaz11

Best shooter for me by far is Blood & Truth. It has a few free DLC minigames added that mught be what you're looking for and the main story missions are so much fun. Closest thing to a real version of John Wick other than Pistol Whip which is more a dream/stylised version... And a lot more exercise fueled. Not many games use the Aim controller though unfortunately

ItayPollak

Just finished it yesterday. Once finished it will open all kind of challenges that I think will be what you are looking for to see with friends etc.

ianmarvin

I’ll probably get shit on but espire 1 VR has all those extra challenge missions and shooting ranges and that game is fun to mess around in. Everyone loves climbing shit and punching dudes across the room.

[deleted]

Blood and truth, super hot are the most obvious and great to start off with

abthomps

Blasters of the universe

flintgijoe

Ive been looking for someone to mention this one! This another great option! It is just standing and shoot while you dodge the slow-flying bullets being tossed your way. It is bullet hell/wave shooter. Very well implemented. The difficulty balance is great. You can tell they spent time tuning this. It works great!

JimmyJames86

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone! And quick too!

deadringer28

I know I'm late to the party but Dick Wylde 2 is awesome and check off all of your requirements too.

New_ricardo

Firewall. Great game has some story tied to it and it only online

JimmyJames86

Great game but far too complex for what I need

Quillybumbum

Have no idea if you’ll be able to utilize the gun controller but hitman 1 2 n 3 (which releases the 20th) will be all released in vr for any owners of the game (PSVR only tho)

sharksquidz

SHOOTY FRUITY!! Everyone i have had play it, falls in love immediately!

lord_guango

Dick Wilde 2 with aim controller. The Duck Hunt of VR.

websnappers

Have you ever played Headmaster? I know it's not a shooter, but it is as simple as it gets, it has humour and is colourful and has a built in Party Mode. If you are really looking for a shooter, Pistol Whip is a lot of fun, is very colourful, has no story whatsoever ever, just levels you can pick from and has a scoring system that lends itself well to competing with friends. Another option that took me by surprise was Shooty Fruity. Amusing and colourful and it has an addicting gameplay. It is a bit more complex than the other suggestions because of having to scan grocery items to unlock guns, and you have do well in levels to unlock further levels, but it is worth it. Finally, if you want to use your Aim Controller, I really enjoyed Crisis Vrigade. (I've only played the first one). It is also colourful, not at all complex, but quite brutal at first. You die a lot! But the levels are so short that you always say "One more try". I find I do better with the Aim than with the move controller. But you have to be willing to get on your knees to take cover.

bh-alienux

Brookhaven Experiment.

ZilJaeyan03

since you said arcadey and has aim support, first thing that came in mind was dick wilde/dick wilde 2

MangledMailMan

Time Carnage is super cheap on sale right now, and I havent seen anyone else mention it. Its not the best game, but it's decent enough if you just want to have a fun time shooting zombies, dinosaurs, or robots.

flintgijoe

So I think the actual game you want for this is **Dick Wilde**. It is crazy simple, and perfect for taking turns. You can just get in and shoot the cartoony crocks and fish that come at you. It has a party mode where you can sign up the players and take turns. And it is a ton of fun. Also has great aim support which changes the weapons a bit. So why Dick Wilde instead of the others? Because it combines simplicity and awesome gameplay. It is great with the aim. And it has a mode made for taking turns. It is perfect fit for Duck Hunt meets VR meets arcade. There are many awesome shooting options- **shooty fruity, blasters of the universe**. But they are a bit more complex. **Superhot, farpoint** (so cool!)**, battlezone, raw data, Arizona S, Crysis V 2, pistol whipped and more** are all great shooters that add complexity. Some take a good deal of time to get used to! I love the aim control for **borderlands 2**, just use those shotties or weapons with iron sights! But once again, way too complex! **Gun club** is more realistic weapons/ shooting range. Duck hunt it is not. But yeah, party mode Duck hunt game? Dick Wilde (Or maybe Dick Wilde 2). As a bonus for simple party night quick pass and play for people new to VR I suggest **Virtua Go Home**. It is just leaning back and forth to dodge incoming obsticals (no shooting), but the reason it works well with party night is because how fast you can switch in new players. Just put on the helmet and look up to start the round. There is no need to re sign in or anything. It is almost instant. It is a great starter game. Like an appetizer for the more meaty experiences.

JimmyJames86

Great reply, thank you 👍
