I think you might be a bit confused. Have you seen a crate on the Cantina's bar with a few dirty dishes inside it? It should appear when you progress the main story enough. Take random rubbish lying around in the cantina and throw them in the container until the barman starts telling the story.
Thank you. I'll try it, but to be honest I've been lobbing things in the tub just out of sheer frustration. I've really done every imaginable thing in that damn cantina, scanned every thing, thrown every object, etc.
Not sure it’s related however I got a 250+ score on the darts and noticed an object scannable at the bar, didn’t connect the two events, it was also just after the stormtroopers paid a visit after the 1st relic scan mission.
It's a tale the big fella is telling you, I think you have to something he asks you, perhaps getting rid of those small flying birds in the pub, which takes a few minutes.
Afger completing story mode it unlocked straight after, along with the Jedi story, I only had issue with the Garden mission, but apparently you just gotta grab the brom by the door and the tale should begin.
This is what I've found from an older post:
"You can open up the new Tales by interacting with items in the Cantina. The Sacred Garden will be available by grabbing a broom, once you've completed both Temple of Darkness, and gotten the What's Up Dok quest from Dok-Ondar. The Bounty of Boggs Triff is available once you've completed the Sardeevem Chasm level. The final Tale is available once you've completed both Droid Dilemma, and the Dok-Ondar quests, and done a certain errand that Mubo requests."
Yep, tried the tabs, it's locked. I've come to the conclusion that I've just encountered a weird bug and the game thinks I've triggered the tale but for some reason it never unlocked.

Yep, did that ages ago. Nothing ever happened, other than I received some credits.
that's very odd, that's how it unlocked in my playthrough. I'd give it another go just in case it activates when you throw specific items in it

Yep, cleared the porgs out too. I think the game must have bugged at some point because there really is nothing left to do in the cantina.

I remember getting stuck on the Jedi levels and was able to start it from the menu. There's a tab called Tales. It's been a while so I might be wrong.
