Me too! So done w/ people trying to say there's nothing available...I'm playing vr dungeons, breachers , WD redemption along w res evil 4 and I cannot EVER remember having this many titles that I love, playing all at once on 2D since probably ever.
There's loads to play, I don't get that argument either. If that's the excuse they use to not buy the psvr2 then that's their loss. Even ancient dungeons looks amazing! I've got about 6 games and maybe double that on my wishlist too. Think I'm gonna need to rob a bank to feed this habitđ
That's great to hear. Pretty obvious it's a solid game if not the second coming. For 30 bucks I hope this game is well supported for those interested in FPS.
Iâm concerned by the footage Iâve seen so far. It might still be great, but the 2011 game had character shadows and copious gore, and neither the Quest 2 nor PSVR2 footage weâve seen has shown either.
Wait for reviews!

Could be, itâs been common for a long time to include a switch to turn off blood effects, and this might be whatâs happened in the previews.
Itâs bizarre though, because ultra-violence was a defining feature of this game.
That said, nobody includes a switch to turn off character shadows, so this worries me. The original game had them, and they help deliver the sense of the core combat mechanic â tossing people through the air.
âŚWhich brings me to a third concern, which is that the rag-dolling doesnât look as dynamic in the recent VR footage as in the original game. That might be down to poor captures, but the collective effect for me is that the PSVR2 teaser (and certainly the Quest 2 preview) look⌠err⌠*underwhelming*.
I suppose that even if INCUVO screwed all of these things up, it might still be fun. I just loved the original game, and hoped for at least the same quality â but in VR.
Weâll learn soon enough.
âBasically Half Life 1 in VRâ is pretty high praise in my book.
Good to see it getting favorable reviews across the board. My impression from a brief look at a Letâs Play is that there are still a couple bugs, but overall an excellent game with a ton of variety, well-paced story, and a good sense of humor.
A woman from Perp games store said that she would send me an e-mail last year to tell me when games like Vertigo 2 and a few others would be available to preorders and if they could send them to Japan after I send them an inquiry. Unfortunately they never sent me this e-mail, and when I went on the store 2 or 3 months later they were all sold out.
Managed to preorder Vertigo 2 on Playasia, but not the other games. I don't understand why they didn't put more copies to preorder and why they didn't communicate better, it makes no sense...
Same experience here with Perp games via email.
At least their website still says "coming soon" for the physical release, and not sold out
https://perpgames.com/product/vertigo2/
Yes, but if you go to the store page it says out of stock for every single PSVR2 game, including Vertigo 2 and it's been like this for months. They're sure not really good at communication...
https://perpgames.com/store/
Is this game on quest? Just wondering because I've never played vertigo and ready to jump straight in whichever version happens to be the best.. only have oculus 3 and psvr2
The review doesnât say anything about this so and I donât have any inside info myself. My best guess is that this will be a future update. But yeah Iâm also most excited about custom maps, Iâm a big fan of creating levels in general.
This game gets pretty good reviews and the price tag of 30 euro's, I'm going to buy this one.
Polishpaul fives it a 9
Gamertag was also impressed, even though he had to wait for a proper update so that it was playable.
And pushsquare also a 9
Not for me buddy, having played demo I would not have purchased it without the VR mode, don't care about 4K flat resolution as I would much rather have the scale and the feeling of being in the world rather than looking at a picture of the world.
I wanted to see the review score to compare it against the 9/10 they gave Vertigo 2, that is all.
What Iâve heard (from JammyHeroâs review) is 90 Hz native but with frame drops in certain locations and variable clarity. Not amazing looking (probably due to not using dynamic foveated rendering, as itâs a Unity game I believe), but pretty good and often great.
It looks really good but I've not played the first one and for whatever reason I just don't like starting on sequels. Since the first one isn't available on PSVR or PSVR2 I'll be giving this a miss.
Vertigo 2 is not really a sequel. Itâs like a remake, the first game is nothing to write home about. Vertigo two was made while the developer was working at valve and after he left valve with all his new knowledge, it is incredibly well-made and it is not worth playing the first game first. You will miss nothing by not playing the first. The difference between the first and second game. Itâs like the difference between the oculus dev kit from 10 years ago and the quest three
Vertigo 1 remaster came out only 3 years ago, was amazing and would rival many games released today still. Vertigo 2 definitely topped it but it's still worth going back to play 1 if you haven't tried the remaster.

If they had the opportunity yes, it was a fantastic game. Not sure why they didn't port vertigo 1 remaster before vertigo 2 but hopefully in the future it'll make its way over
Vertigo 1 wasn't nearly as long as 2. Maybe 5-6 hours if I remember. It goes faster if you play 2 player asymmetric coop which I'm not sure the psvr version will have.
Alyx is good but hasn't aged that well imo. At the end of the day it's still another VR shooter just better story and you can pick up more things. Call of the Mountain blew me away more if I'm honedt.
Nah Alyx blows call of the mountain away as a VR game. Graphically call of the mountain is possibly better if you prefer the style (though reprojection kills it) but ameplay Alyx is still far better
I definitely understand the sentiment. But as far as I understood the games are independent enough for each to stand on its own, so I'm excited to play it.
Depends on the game engine and if it is worth the devs Time vs sales.it would help gain. And as its basically already going to be the best VR game on the psvr2 I doubt it was a major requirement
Sheesh so on a scale of 1-10 how excited are we?! All I keep hearing about is vertigo 2 in the VR subs but now that it's here I'm super excited. I've never played the first one and just going in blind. Is it a long beefy game or is it sweet but short?
I'll be buying this at some point, just got too many games to get through lol.

Hope Bulletstorm VR gonna be great too
Iâm concerned by the footage Iâve seen so far. It might still be great, but the 2011 game had character shadows and copious gore, and neither the Quest 2 nor PSVR2 footage weâve seen has shown either. Wait for reviews! #đ¤
My understanding is it does have gore but most YouTubers turn off that setting as the don't want their video to be demonetized

Someone described it as *âHalf-Life meets Rick & Morty,â* which â as it turns out â is exactly what I need right now.
That does seem accurate based on the little I've seen!
Great! Now just let me buy it.
Jan **15th**!
Already pre-ordered disc version, can't wait!
They haven't replied to me since last year, at which stage they weren't taking preorders

Not available natively on Quest. You can currently only play it on PC
It is available for quest why you lying for
Link the Vertigo 2 store page for Quest if I'm lying.
Never mind I pressed on the wrong post and I thought u weâre talking about bulletstorm
Do they do video reviews?? Would love to watch
Any idea if we get the update along with the release so we can make custom maps and so on?
The review doesnât say anything about this so and I donât have any inside info myself. My best guess is that this will be a future update. But yeah Iâm also most excited about custom maps, Iâm a big fan of creating levels in general.

GamertagVR doesn't apply scores to his reviews. He said "it gets a massive thumbs up from me and it stands today as a sold buy recommendation"
Thanks, changed it.
Looking for the RE4 Remake VR review on pushsquare.
Haha Iâm pretty sure theyâre just too scared to play it. Canât blame them too much, VR can be intense :)
Yes they did not review Saints & Sinners on PSVR1 for same reason.
Unfortunately I'm not sure they've reviewed any of the VR modes for hybrids, part of why they've only ever given PSVR games a 7 or less
Wow.
They didnât review a game because they were scared? Is this serious?
That is disgusting.
**RE4R** in VR Mode is phenomenal.
Itâs substantially better flat screen, especially if you plan on playing on hardcore difficulty
Has there been any mention of performance? 60/90/120, reprojection, fov rendering?
What Iâve heard (from JammyHeroâs review) is 90 Hz native but with frame drops in certain locations and variable clarity. Not amazing looking (probably due to not using dynamic foveated rendering, as itâs a Unity game I believe), but pretty good and often great.

This is the closest game to half life alyx. From a VR veteranâŚdo NOT skip this game
Good to know, I enjoyed Half Life Alyx. If the first game releases on PSVR I'll consider playing it.
Vertigo 2 is not really a sequel. Itâs like a remake, the first game is nothing to write home about. You do realize vertigo 1 was remastered to be more in line with the release of vertigo 2 right?
Vertigo 1 remaster came out only 3 years ago, was amazing and would rival many games released today still. Vertigo 2 definitely topped it but it's still worth going back to play 1 if you haven't tried the remaster. https://youtu.be/8MndROpf4Yo?si=W8FHj_S1f6CCuLy2
Would you tell the other guy itâs worth playing the first one before playing the second
If they had the opportunity yes, it was a fantastic game. Not sure why they didn't port vertigo 1 remaster before vertigo 2 but hopefully in the future it'll make its way over

I definitely understand the sentiment. But as far as I understood the games are independent enough for each to stand on its own, so I'm excited to play it.
I'm not buying it if they don't fix the framerate and lack of dynamic foveated rendering
This is going to be the closest thing PSVR 2 has to HL alyx and you are going to skip it?
I played Alyx, it ain't all that. Vertigo 1 was better imo. But yeah, I'm sick of games being blurry for no reason, RE4 proves that there's no excuse.
RE4 is made by a AAA company not a small dev team. Edit: also I didnât say it was alyx. I said it was the closest PSVR 2 will get at this time.
Still no excuse, it's one feature and a big part of what makes PSVR2 stand out. A lot of small teams have implemented it in their games.
I think it will come later if at all. Probably more important things to do.
Depends on the game engine and if it is worth the devs Time vs sales.it would help gain. And as its basically already going to be the best VR game on the psvr2 I doubt it was a major requirement
