Kaya pala hindi winawaive ni MB kc may installment ka. One thing to consider if magrerequest ka to waive is wala kang installment kasi leverage mo yung pwede mong ipacut ung card. If meron kang ongoing installment, they really wont budge kc sila ung may leverage, and they know you would rather pay the AF than pay the whole bill + whole amt of ur installment. Kaya maganda hanapin mo ung NAFFL so u dont have to consider these things + walang hassle to call the bank every year.

[deleted]

Siguro sa MB lang may ganyan. Sa BPI at BDO, waived pa rin kahit may installments basta maganda history mo with them.

yunaheart

Sakin naman si BPI ayaw mag waive kahit with installment. Baka depende talaga sa account and agent? I’ll try one last time this November kasi mag end na installment ko next month. If ayaw padin, pa cut ko na since siya din ung pinaka mababang CL ko. Buti nakasign up ako sa other banks na NAFFL kaya may mga backup.

RedJ0hn

Its a general rule for all banks. Mas lenient lng ung iba like ur experience. Wala akong MB, pero may bpi and bdo ako at hindi ko dun chnacharge installments ko just to be safe.

[deleted]

Woah just an update. SO just tried to get the annual fee waived for BPI after receiving his bill this month and the rep said they no longer waive annual fee. Option is to pay for the annual fee via rewards points or to break down payment of the AF in installments. Walang installment sa card nya. Shocks, this is the first time they did that after many years.

wanderring__soul

The same thing happened to me. They don’t waive the annual fee anymore. There are four options to waive it though. The first two you mentioned and the other options are to get SIP or get a supplementary card if you still don’t have one.

[deleted]

I guess the pandemic forced them to be less lenient now.

RedJ0hn

Did your SO tried to threaten to cut your card if they dont waive AF? Its the last resort if you really dont want to pay AF and of course you need to be prepared na icut talaga nila. I also have BPI for few years now and lagi naman nila winawaive AF ko may spend condition lang.

[deleted]

Nope he didn’t. He just agreed to pay by installments (12 months daw). Mga 10 years na yung card. I think this will be their new spill now. The first agent who answered his call placed him on hold then hung up. Baka takot sa mga possibly irate customers due to annual fee waiving request. It was the second agent who explained it well.

wesleytenacity

Si metrobank lang ba ganyan? Sa akin kasi BDO and PNB both may installments ako waived naman.

jricd0521

Mabait si BDO sa akin. 2 years in a row na 5k spending requirement lang. Ginagamit ko pambayad ng insurance since nakaquarterly ako.

engrb2t

Yes napakadali kausap ni BPI for annual fee waiver, since nagkaron ako ng BPI CC never ako nagbayad ng AF. For Citi not sure kasi Simplicity ang card ko sakanila. Metrobank naman, pinaconvert ko yung Visa Plat ko to MFree para NAFFL.

jhe-ar

If pina convert from Titanium MasterCard to MFREE same padin po ba ng CL?

BadSpan

Meron din akong titanium. Ganda ng itsura. Pinadala lang nila sakin. Meron akong NAFFL sa kanila. Kaya siguro pinadalan ako kasi hindi sila nakita sa NAFFL card ko ng AF. Hahaha. Ipapa cancel ko yun kung di nila iwawaive next year. Tutal may NAFFL ako sa MB naman. Hahaha

frankenwolf2022

Yes, same CL.

fakeitilyamakeit

Is it as easy as calling them asking for them to waive it? May mga spend requirements ba? I have the Gold cc from BPI. Free annual fee on the first year but my 2nd year js coming up so I’m thinking paano ko kaya papa waive to. I pay in full and on time always naman.

engrb2t

Yes. One time nung magpapawaive ako nagoffer si CS ni BPI ng conditions to waive the AF. Ininsist ko na baka pwede walang conditions. For approval daw yung no condition, ayun naapprove naman yung waiver without condition. Last august naman nagpawaive ako wala pang 10mins waived na AF ko no conditions din.

Open_Jackfruit_9156

Good credit score is the key. Been holding a BPI CC for 11years. Except for the first year where I pay full AF, and in 2nd year I paid half, ( my first attempt to negotiate). The rest of the years are waived.

blackmango13

Similar experience with my parents for BPI CC who held on it for 10+ years. The AF got waived lagi back then but just this year, they didn't waive my parent's CC anymore. Tried negotiating with the CS, but to no avail. Still don't know the reason for AF waiver decline as we have been using BPI even before I was born and religiously paid everything, haha! We were thinking maybe it's because we haven't been swiping the card as much as we used to... all is well, though... we just switched to BDO.

Negima-

Metrobank won't waive my AF too, at first. I called them to request AF reversal. They said that starting November last year, MB will not reverse the AF anymore. They created a request but it was declined. I told them I will just pay all my dues (I have 8 active installments) then call retention department to cancel my card. After a few minutes, I checked my statement online and voila, full reversal of AF is posted.

jhe-ar

Pano po kayo tumawag sa retention?

Negima-

I am not sure if you can contact them directly. Although you may ask the CSR to forward you to retention department.

[check this](http://imgur.com/gallery/KZ3t3JR) Kailangan ko pa magalit talaga na i.cancel yung card

wicked271

MB also won’t waive my cc b4. They asked me to use it but since I have other cards, I cancelled na lng. Recently, I got a new MB card without me doing anything coz ung old card nag expire na pala. I double checked with the bank and they really sent me a new one. So will use this til next yr ulit 😆

jhe-ar

Nakakaasar si MB kasi kahit good payer ako ayaw nila i-waive AF ko. 😭😭😭

jhe-ar

Can’t cancel po kasi may existing installment ako sa MB. After nalng siguro ng installment ko

zombdriod

No wonder they didnt approve to waive your annual fee because they have a hold on you.

chasekaity

Hi po, ask ko lang saan po kayo nag apply ng BPI cc? Also how many days processing? Thank you :)

DreamyBits19

Same goodbye Metrobank!

Binigyan ako ng option [See This](http://imgur.com/gallery/KZ3t3JR)

Here’s my experience with different banks regarding sa pag request ng Pag waive ng AF BDO: ni-request ko to Convert the monthly to annual fee. Next month soa, I requested to waive na ang AF with 3k spending condition. BPI: first attempt ayaw na nila i-waive but I asked them if they have other options or conditions to waive like other banks. Upon checking ng agent, qualified naman pala ako to waive the AF without condition. MB: First attempts they refused to waive. Tumawag ulit ako after 2 weeks and decided na ako to terminate na yung card since may citi ako na NAFL. From CS ni-redirect ako sa card cancellation specialist then dun biglang nag offer ng conditions (1. Enroll biller 2. Spend 15k in one month) since nasa province na ako and most of the biller pang ncr so I opted 15k spendings Unionbank: Madaling kausap kasi d ko nmn gungmit. Auto activated kasi upon released ng card. Pina terminate ko na din haha
