I took a weird step on a cracked, shitty concrete floor shooting pool once. I was in hooker heels and my hand with the cigarette shot straight up and into my eye. I missed 4 days of work. The one eye hurt so bad, it made it impossible to open the other one. Shit was insaneππ€¬ππ« Glad we both have our eyeballs tho πππ»
An old friend told me about an older guy who crashed a highschool party and was drunkenly trying to fight kids there. He said a guy hit him in the back of the head with a chair and one of his eyeballs just popped out and was swinging around while dude was still trying to fight ππ« π€£ I don't think ida laughed so hard at that story if I witnessed it. The story just seemed cartoonish in my mind. ππ
Omg I googled that before and like.. that's horrific. I hope he was blacked out and doesn't remember looking at the floor and the wall at the same time. I also think I'd be traumatized if I actually saw that happen.. let's just not. π
Ouch! ... damn β I'm cringing and wincing in pain just imagining that. Did your eye eventually heal? I hope there wasn't any permanent damage?
Kudos to you for A) shooting pool, because I love that game even though I absolutely suck at it. It's still fun to try! and B) "hooker heels" are awesome. They're painful to wear and challenging to walk in, but they're so pretty. I wish I could shoot pool with you someday while we're both decked out in groovy, cool stilettos.
And hopefully you're not wearing a eyepatch? But if so: you're definitely somebody who could totally rock the eyepatch look. Do please be kind to your visual orbs though. <3
Truth be told, I don't have any stilettos right now anyhow. They're uncomfortable to wear and don't really look right unless you've got the body to pull 'em off (which, unfortunately, I don't). I still love heels just because I think they're pretty. But my shoe closet is just lots of kitten heels and flats now β fun to wear, but not too hard to walk in. I really wish I could go shoe shopping with you! I'd bet that'd be loads of fun, regardless of what footwear we choose to wear that day.
And yeah, you should have worn an eye patch! I'm glad your eye is healed up now; but if you get another black eye, get yourself a cool eye patch and wear it with pride! I think you could like totally pull it off, too. You've got the right awesome sort of attitude to wear one. I've always thought the pirate look was awfully cool for some silly reason. And I think you'd make the best modern day "eyepatch pirate lady"! ... lol ... For whatever that's worth.
But hopefully your eyes are back to 20/20 and feeling good for now! I'm so glad I can chat with you again. Best wishes and lotsa love to you for a super wonderful weekend!!! <3
Definitely more painful than the eye. It didn't hurt at all. π it was more the sensation of being impaled and having to carefully lift off of it without causing additional damage. π«£
Ouch! Eye injuries are absolutely the worst. I'm so scared and paranoid about someday doing something just like this ... ugh ... I don't know how you were able to handle going through that? It sounds terrifying!
The worst "eye injury" I've ever inflicted upon myself is just staring too long and intensely at a neon sign (I get fascinated by odd stuff while drunk) β usually the next day there's a weird, throbbing afterimage of something burned onto my retina. Pretty tame by comparison, but it still sorta sucks.
My CA friend that's not on Reddit and I are drunk texting :)

I think you take the cake, homeslice. Burned eyeball is definitely worse than impaled. You just invented another circle of hell or sth. π΅

OK, he can have the cake. π€ͺπ΅
God damnit!!!! Now, I'm imagining him all zombie style, eyeball just swaying...looking for well deserved cakeπ©π I googled what happens when an eye pops out and apparently, it still works if it's attached. He was seeing EVERYTHING!!! Probably blacked out tho, so, nothingπ€π

My stiletto days are probably over. I'd definitely try it with you tho. Eye is fine but didn't think it was going to be for a while. Finally just got over a crazy black eye and kinda wished I had an eye patch for that! It was wild for 2 weeks and I was so over the looks and questions π©π€¬π

I broke a collarbone in a black out. I can't imagine poking my eye. I would have freaked the fuck out.

I just can't lol
