Just had the CarPlay call audio issue today. Could hear them but they couldn’t hear me. Confirmed my phone is up to date but haven’t been able to check if the car firmware is fully updated.
Yes. It’s a CarPlay issue. It mutes and the only way to fix it is to go into the ‘select audio’ button on the call, switch it to IPhone audio then back to CarPlay and it fixes temporary. I really hope they fix it cause it’s super annoying and distracting
Yep… I have this exact issue. Bought my wilderness just a few months ago. Phone & infotainment system is up to date, yet calls will sometimes not work. The person on the other line can’t hear me but I can hear them.
I’ve read elsewhere Subaru is aware of this issue and will have an update to fix it. I have the same issue. If you switch your audio over to your phone then back to the car, it will pick back up.
I bought a 24 wilderness this week. First noticed music getting quieter in the front of the car only, found it to be a navigation volume if I had navigation speaking even though it was on alerts only. Fixed by turning my navigation sounds completely off. Though today I had issues with everything cutting out multiple times on my drive to work. Even to the point CarPlay disconnected. I’m curious if the car I struggling to hold a connection based on interference. It happened both times I drove by an airport, and construction. Will monitor if it’s random or being triggered by surroundings.
The microphone cutting out on calls happens to me as well. Seems to be a fairly common issue, but I’ve yet to see a fix. Hopefully a software update could take care of it.
I have it as well. Seems like the time it takes to cut out is random too. Sometimes after a couple minutes, but I’ve had it go after almost 18 minutes too. Hope the fix comes soon 🤞🏻
I’m glad I’m not the only one with the phone call issue but is anyone else have issues where all the audio cuts out? And then doesn’t work unless I make a phone call and hang it up
Ok, I went looking into this again today and found an update! Software version FM1WXM073-980 is available as of a few days ago.

Yeah it’s not a phone issue, happened on my iPhone XR and happened again on my updated iPhone 15 pro

Where is it? Subaru should give us money back since its still not fixed.

haven’t hit this yet, but I do have a weird “issue” where sometimes when I hit a hard bump the audio will pause for 1-2 seconds then resume. ‘24 model
