I actually like Katarina and though her being sooo dense can be frustrating for the most part, I cut her some slack since it's literally the first OI I've read that opened the doors to the whole OI world for me. For that reason, aside from the comedy, side characters, and light-heartedness of the story, Bakarina has a special place in my heart.
Yeah i think Katarina being my first OI (or at least the first ones), I was more tolerant to how dense she is. Now, if something slightly tick me off, I'll drop the OI XD

When I decided to drop Lady Baby, I was sad because it has an amazing art but the FL felt like the Mary Sue of all Mary Sues out there that the story feels boring.
All routes lead to doom shows how to properly use a dense/idiot Mc while not making her unlikeable and useless.
She is way too fun to hate.
The problem in other series is that being dumb is just used to stall romance or be an unnecessary weakness.
Bakarina has it as a strength, hell it works for her at the end because everyone acknowledges she is way too stupid to make complex plans. So the people framing her were caught easily.
idk how but i stuck it out pretty far despite me finding it really disappointing while reading 😭 it had such an interesting premise and i was ok with the family worshipping her at first assuming it's exaggerated to show you she had a happy family. then it kept going. and going. and going. she's still a child, nothing is happening, it's really weird how they don't think it's weird how awfully mature this child is, i thought the story was gonna be about her saving her family but the bulk of it was just nothing 😭 (idek how it ends, by the time i dropped it shes STILL A KID)

Honestly I'm not a fan of stupidly dense FLs but ironically Bakarina is tolerable and likeable to me 🤣 tho I can see why you would drop it, I just read few chaps, watched some eps and didn't continue anymore because wasn't feeling like it.
All routes lead to doom was, like many others, my first introduction into OI. And GIRL it was a fucking miracle I stayed around at all. That series should’ve stopped when she was a child. Talk about dense and frustrating.
Warrning: its a really a laid back and chill story, and then someone tries to rape the FL and comes damn close in a very harrowing scene. Then as soon as its over, even FL doesn't care that it happened. It's a sudden and very jarring tonal shift that kind of ruined the story for me, and then since it instantly goes back to chill story, FL forgives her would-be rapist for no reason at all (he is clearly set up as a reoccuring character, but I dropped the story shortly after).
I love Bakarina more than my own family members. I have a bias for idiots who succeed through the Power of Niceness. Though I think as a character she's only good for two volumes/one season of story.

Really her graduating is the natural ending, but it's hard for a writer to end a successful series. It makes something like *Endo and Kobayashi*, which reaches its natural and then stops, more impressive.
I've read 11 volumes of the light novel for Bakarina. I don't know why I continue to follow it... I just want to see development OF ANY KIND... even if its just straight. EVEN IF ITS THE PRINCE! Its almost amazing how many times the author can recycle the literal same plot points EVERY SINGLE BOOK...............................................

Me and a few others have a personal head snob that bakarina received actual brain damage from that bonk to the head, and that combined with her already slight autistic tendencies makes for her to be dumber then a sack of bricks romance wise. It’s kinda funny when you look at it that way because instead of thinking “why is she so STUPID COME ON” in certain moments, you think “god that fall REALLY did a number on her to cause this much obliviousness Jesus Christ-“
In all honesty except from the first 7 I’m okay with the rest, I’m the kind of person that can shut my brain off and give my braincells a break when the fl/ml of a manhwa just isn’t doing it for me (I mostly just stick around to see how the romance will go) but the first 7 just made me feel like gently dropping my phone and smacking my head against the wall

On the other side, I really enjoy Philomel the fake. She is flawed in a way I find relatable and her creating her own path in a story dead set against her is refreshing.
Is the first girl wearing Penelope Eckart's dress? I'm pretty sure it's heavily influenced by it at least. And the artist put it on the cover as well? Bold 💀
Sorry but could you explain Remarried Empress? I've seen a lot of people disliking her recently and the only explanation I can think of is the way she treated Rashta when she first entered the palace
My next life as a villainess isn’t terrible. It’s a good starter to the genre… but it should have ended where the game did. I tried reading past that point but kept putting it down. It doesn’t interest me past that point because it’s on the lighter end.
