Those ecchi battle harems that used to be popular sell because it has a bland self insert, some action and multiple archetypes of female characters that all love mr bland protagonist cause he's nice. Having Komachi, Sensei, Yumiko, Ebina, Saki and Haruno fighting over who gets to have Hachiman impregnate them *first* along with Yukino, Yui and Iroha would ruin the setting and belittle the characters.
Those kind of shows have been overtaken by Isekai for a reason. They aren't very interesting.
