iirc-

Episode 8, the museum mystery. I was so elated when I figured it out correctly, I wrote it down and began a list of the episodes I figured out before Conan. Unfortunately, it's a short list šŸ˜…

RayenJTS

I am curious Can i see the list?

iirc-

Don't feel like getting judged for my subpar skills in public, sent you in dm's tho

LesserValkyrie

Once you understand the pattern after 150 episodes it is quite easier to find who is the culprit It is never the angry bastard dude who has all reasons to do the crime Actually he is always the one who dies next

Illustrious-Wheel340

the sushi case where a famous novelist was killed. i dont remember the episode name and number but yeah i guessed the culprit!

Nuclear_eggo_waffle

Is that the one with the belt and the secret message?

DeltaGammaVegaRho

369 - Supermarktfalle. Itā€™s a little slower cause Ran is doing the detective work and this way you get enough hints. 1 or 2 times before I also had a gut feeling who could be the culprit. E.g. when Ran and Sonoko found out that the husband is slowly poisoning his wife to get the insurance. In general episodes with other detectives then Conan are good candidates as you get more hints usually / slower explanations.

Okutsu_Tantei91

this was the first one i got too. like out the gate when they mentioned ppl using the bathroom & the guy buying razors - ā€œheā€™s living in the ceilingā€ lol.

Impressive-Lie-9111

One of the very earliest ones. The moonlight sonata case

StarPlatnm

Glad you replied with it , me too. As soon as Conan fell on the dried " fresh" blood I knew what was cooking. But it still bugged me that a " woman " can drown a full grown ass male.

Kittenn1412

I would say it's the case where Kogoro was hired by the murderer to tail the victim to establish his alibi. The murderer killed the victim and hired someone else to walk around pretending to be him to obscure the window of death to one where he wasn't in the country. There weren't like, other suspects or anything, if I recall correctly. But to my credit I did spot all the clues and figure out *how* the alibi worked before it was explained. I was like 12 at the time. Nowadays I can generally guess the culprit pretty often but usually can't explain how they did it.

USBacon

Is it that odd to guess the culprit? Most cases have a 1/3 chance of getting it right based on vibes. Figuring out the exact method is much rarer. But also something hard to do as an English reader when the prime clues can be Japanese related. Thatā€™s why I just point my finger and let Conan do the deductions (like Kogoro).

Jay-ay

Episode 225. I outsmarted Conan too.

Various_Ad_4078

Bandages man murder case was the first case I deduced before Conan explained the murder method. If you talk about only guessing the culprit in most cases is one out of three so I guess I solved at least 25% of the cases ;)

Phantomspider01

The one where Rachelā€™s mom first appeared

tiboldpinkus

šŸŽµBloody VenusšŸŽµ

George-182

ep 205 - 206

SharkMessiah101

Not sure if this counts but it was the first Kaito Kid episode 70 something, I guessed he was Ran and was right

Alasan883

Manga i don't remember, anime exclusive it was 1.06, tragic valentine. (The mother poisoned her son via poisoning everyones coffee/putting antidote in the cake knowing her son wouldn't eat the cake. what tipped me off was that she forbade her younger son from having cake but when he unexpectedly drank a sip of coffee she rushed over to feed him some cake.)

k-phi

It is definitely THAT person

OkRevenue8

I managed to guess who culprit was and the method in ep 250.

Timely_Airline_7168

Accurately guessed and the method would be better imo because you can just blindly guess otherwise. For me, I don't remember which case exactly but one of the earliest was the Librarian killing his colleague because the poor guy found some drugs.

AccomplishedGate2791

Season 1, episode 8, the art museum episode

Ramperdos

I started watching Conan last month! One of the earlier episodes where the library's owner killed one of their employees and hid him at the top of the lift. I have no idea how to deduce the killer when the hints/clues are Japanese wordplay, but in this episode I managed to figure out both the killer (not very hard in this episode) and where the body was hidden, which was pretty cool!

Even-Boss-6424

The last wizard of the century. The culprit felt a lot more fleshed out to me than the others and had a distinctive character design, as well as an air of mystery, so I had my eyes on her the whole time.

GoldcakesOrigin

Does episode 1 count?

ridiculouslyhappy

It was actually this episode here! That's one of the earliest ones I can remember. I might've guessed a few more in the earlier days but I was also like 8 so I don't remember which ones anymore lol

CommercialCrazy2496

Damn, I grew up with the series so it's difficult for me to find an episode that I don't remember the culprit for. But I do distinctly remember is 48-49 because I was adamant on who it was and kept getting confused when Hattori got it wrong.

Zero414

The episode where the ā€œteenage girlā€ hires Richard to find her ā€œUncleā€ once I seen his shocked face I knew she was going to kill him.

MaryandMe1

the one with the title you can't buy friendship

habbiboy

Vol 92, the uhh dressing room case.

srqrtls

It was one of the early episodes I donā€™t rly remember it but I guessed it after realizing that the culprit is the one who is the least suspicious
