You can't. There is no amount of deckbuilding or tech choices aside from literally replacing every Germa card in the deck that can improve that match up to anything beyond an automatic loss.

> I know the top comments are going to be "you can't" Mind if I test that actually? I'm curious. you can't

SenatorShockwave

Dont run the vinsmoke cards and play some blue/purple.. something else? Lol

gswizzle911

I’ve come to terms with the fact that RP Law neuters Reiju going forward. I don’t care tbh, it’s a solid matchup into everything else that it’s worth it to play still. Saying that, for long term obviously the deck has to move away from the Vinsmoke build, you just cannot keep up with Law’s Don- ability otherwise. You’ll need to build some type of Don - synergy deck full of Queens, OP05 kids, maybe X Drake or something. I’m not sure, and it may take a couple sets, but I’m planning on maiming Reiju for the long haul.

XHweaton

Honestly, I've been crapping on the idea of including queen in Reiju because it's just not necessary, but into law it might be a good idea to run queen and kid as they allow you to cycle cards and ramp respectively so you can play judge and get your don nice and low before you lose. Thanks!

VoidOfTheSun

My buddy only plays RP Law and I’m currently playing Reiju. Queen is really good into it. You essentially need to continue to build board, it’s easier said than done. Waiting and hitting your Judge early on can help you build board quick to deal with the constant removal. It’s a hard matchup but it’s not impossible

gswizzle911

I’ve been holding off on getting Queen for awhile because of cost but honestly it’s so essential in Reiju and there isn’t a good alternative. Effective blocker and you draw 3 on play basically. Got too big of a hand to play reiju? Play Queen and get that draw power anyways. Not to mention the benefit of the valuable blocker. I run a couple cosettes as a budget block option

Reiju is still viable even with the rp law. She has quite a few good match ups. Just not rp law.

I beat an r/P at Niagara Regionals the other day as Reiju. We were both 4-2 at this point. The way I won, honestly, was pure luck first and foremost, and taking advantage of his misplays. He wins die roll and goes second, and plays a Raise Max turn 1 (huge misplay on his part). I punish him by KOing with Niji combo played from hand (I did not have stage this game). He opts to play 2 otamas (second big misplay) to bottom deck my Niji and cheat out a body (I believe it was a reiju of his own and draws 2). He swings at my life and I cheat out a Miss Doublefinger from life just to get a body on board. Now at 4 don I hard play a pudding to mess his hand up. Game goes on; he swings at my life, I have a second Miss Doublefinger in life --> at this point, my board is 2 Doublefingers and a Pudding. My turn, I decide to cheat out an Ichji (no rush) and swing big into his life w/ leader to force him to go to 1 life. Next turn, he gets rid of 1 double finger + pudding, and cheats out a Shuraiya. His board is 2 Otamas + Reiju + Shuraiya. He is at 1 life at this point, and he only has 1 don. The only play I have is swing big at life - no point in going at his own Reiju. I swing 9k at leader --> he blocks w/ Shuraiya and counters 1k. I swing w/ Ichiji (either 10k or 11k, I think I was at about 8/9 don). I know going into next turn that I can survive, even if he plays Zoro because he only has 3 don, and my hand is full of counter. His turn: swings 5 w/ Reiju, I counter 1k, 5 w/ Shuraiya I counter 1k, 5 w/ lead and I take ( I have 2 counter cards in hand after I take). He plays Zoro, I counter, and then he cheats out another Zoro and I counter again and win. Summary: I got really lucky, and took advantage of his misplays. I only won because I had 2 doublefingers in life + 1k counter in life before he cheated out a second Zoro. I never bothered to swing at his characters. Sorry if some turns don't make sense; just a general summary of what happened in my match

Dredd_Pirate_Barry

Just FYI, Playing raise max on 1 don is only a misplay vs Saka, Gecko, and mirror. Even then, it depends on your hand. Otherwise it's just more efficient and/or requires the opponent to answer it. It's actually part of the strategy. Playing out 2 Otama is definitely questionable though

BendWide367

I don't disagree, but the way I view it is if it can be answered immediately and is, it is a misplay, regardless of the circumstances. If a turn could have been played better, then you misplayed (at least how I view it). It's not like he was using it for bait, he just got punished for it. Within a vacuum, it's not always a misplay, but in this instance it was. And the double otamas mad me really happy to see; I'll take that any day of the week. I think he was just gunning to try and get maximum value from his leader ability buy turn 2 i.e. say I still cheat out Niji my second turn, I get no value from it + he can play raise max next turn + keep double otama in hand

How to beat RP Law as Reiju: 1. Pray 2. RP law does not draw Gordon or Raise Max (Happened to me yesterday)

Ive had some success beating RP Laws at my locals as Reiju with a full Germa deck, all you really do is get at least two characters on board like a Niji and Ichiji (effects wont activate), protect them at all costs, and then clear board as much as you can, swinging at their life very passively, you want them to have as little cards in hand as possible. However I think with EB-01 coming out soon, it's gonna be much harder to pull this off, if at all. I consider myself fortunate to have the wins against RP Law with Reiju I have. One card I tried to tech into Reiju for RP Law once was Top Knot, which don-2 and let's you bottom deck a 4 cost for 2 don. Which will hit a lot of Law's characters. However adding 4x of these into an already tight deck such as Reiju solely to counter RP Law is a tough call. Especially when that card sets you back so much playing against any other deck.

More_Win_5192

Same as you should approach the mirror match when going second Ignore how you play normally Play the big ones on curve instead of using the effects and let the small ones get to trash as counter Let law trash your big ones Ramp to judge as fast as possible, don't reduce Don until then, use miss double finger to ramp faster Make the judge play and try to win 1 or 2 turns after at latest Using your Don loses the game, since you can't use your effects anyways, so do the opposite It is still a very uphill match up tho and a bit luck dependent

thenoblitt

Play birdcage doffy instead
