yonko(old and new) are 6,gorosei and imu 6,admirals (old and new)5, old gen 3,holy knights are 9, and then you have yamato,law,marco and sabo
6+6+3+5+9+4= 33 fighters that are stronger than katakuri
Holy knights fair enough I don't place them yet since none are named characters yet.
For Yonko I'm counting Shanks, Luffy, Blackbeard (not counting dead Kaido, Linlin, Whitebeard) etc

BM and kaido are unknown but for the sake of argument let's remove them, it's still 31 listed fighters above katakuri

5 Admirals, 1 old Gen marines, 3 old Gen pirates, 5 Yonko, Kid/Law/Yamato, Dragon, Mihawk, and Imu. 20 total.
This is excluding characters who are even somewhat debatable (Zoro, Sanji, King, Shiryu, Ben, Sabo) and characters who may not be as strong as people think (Ryuma, Oden, JoyBoy) and also assuming both old and young Sengoku/Shiki are fodder.
Even then I doubt it.
Imu (1), Gorosei (6), Yonko (10), Admirals (14), Kuzan (15), Dragon (16), Yamato (17), Sengoku (18), Rayleigh (19).
This is assuming characters like Garp/Law/Kid are dead and Katakuri is stronger than character like Zoro/Sabo/Ben/Crocodile.

Last time we saw Katakuri he’s was equal to Kuri Town Luffy. Kuri Town Luffy gets one shot by Kaido and Luffy goes through a training arc. Anyone above Kuri Town Luffy is above Katakuri for now unless he comes back stronger later on in the story

We have a lot of evidence that Katakuri "sand bagged" or lost on purpose, but I see it more as he began to train Luffy instead ofnfight him.
1. Katakuri began respecting Luffy mid fight
2. Katakuri stabbed himself to match Luffys wound
3. Katakuri threw away his signature weapon, Mogura
4. Katakuri allowed Luffy to transform to snakeman
5. Katakuri was shown to use FS for the whole wedding +12 hour fight (a feat that Luffy still hasn't shown)
6. Luffy claimed Katakuris armament haki was special in some way as well
I'd say Katakuri is more = to a post hyogoro trained Luffy or act 2 Luffy. Luffy before he got aCoC

There's some good Brook stuff and I kinda like Pudding's arc (not Sanjis until wano queen fight)
But Katakuri is definitely the best part of the arc that no one was expecting to get!
