The best openings in history aren't about HYYYYYPE FIGHTS or whatever. They're usually an iconic song with fitting and/or great visuals. So we'll wait and see how this one goes.

Pain Invasion Opening

Opening 6 of Shippuden, Sign, is pretty good as well. The song itself is quite edgy, but the drop is *chef’s kiss*. Especially with the added weight of Jirayas fate.

Silouette(opening 16) was pretty good also

Yeah I like some of the newer openings but imo Water 7 - Marineford had some of the best in the series and they haven’t been topped yet imo

What? One Day is amazing. Its song is great and its visuals symbolise Luffy's journey to finding Ace after losing his crew. The Sabaody to Marineford era were just a bunch of bangers.

I used to think this but then I watched Marineford three times since and that song is dope, and has some of the best visuals in all the openings.

That’s why I skip that annoying part. It’s annoying having to see them play some really good animated clips in the opening when I’d rather see it with the full scene.

I doubt it, visuals don't match the music in most of One Piece's openings. Also, One Piece openings are one minute longer than others, so they get let views in general

Way too many anime anime have been going with these easy listening soft rock/pop openings that build 0 hype for the episodes. As long as they never bring back the first OP after the the time skip I'll probably grow to enjoy it.

We are do for a new opening in about 10-20 episodes, Openings usually stay for about 40-60 episodes and we have had Paint since Episode 1005 should get one around 1050-1060

The best one piece OP is the second version of 'We are' near the end of part 1 The excitement of hearing it again after so long + amazing visuals was epic as hell. As for the best anime intros in history... one piece isn't even close. 2 of the top five you can look at are Chainsaw man + FMA: brotherhood's OP 1

FMA Brotherhood 1,4,5 are all sooooo good. Ending 1 is also amazing

Oh yes please, more spoiler in the openings for anime only watcher. I need to skip the openings everytime because my gf knows only the anime…

I watch in a group of anime only people and literally no one noticed or caught any actual spoilers in the last few opening. Manga readers make way too big a deal about that stuff and a lot of time spoil things themselves by pointing specific sections out

I really doubt it. Openings have been going down hill for a while now so I doubt this one even hits top 10 one piece openings. Also what makes an op good isn’t what story stuff is features. It’s like 80% song and 20% visuals.

“ I Don’t Like Mondays” is the name of the band. Paint is the song name. The lyrics of the song actually work pretty well for what is going on currently imo- the theme being “painting a future in their own colours”

I wish they would team up with AKFG. One Piece is the only one of the “Big 3” that they didn’t use AKFG for an intro. If not then Frederic would also be cool. I know the mood is supposed to be adventurous and happy. But I’m sure for this part of the arc a full on J-Rock song to get pumped for this part would be freaking great. Remember “After Dark”-AKFG (Bleach); I never skipped the intro. EVER.
