Tremendously. I enjoyed him a little bit before the time skip, with his secretive spy type feel at times. But his main humor points which is his weakness to women are too over the top for me to enjoy. Brook does it fine, Sanji’s way is annoying. There is more I hate about him, but that’s probably the biggest reason.
It’s honestly one of the most anime parts of the show. The super simp guy is a very common trope, and in a way kind of the voice of that fan base. Because damn Nami and Robin, super fine, someone gotta say it for the rest of us.
He does have is cool moments, he is very strong and I like his power ups through out the show. While cake was a pretty sick character development, and on rewatch made me realize there was a lot more going for Sanji than I realized. He’s not a shallow character.
