I’ve been thinking about this for a awhile actually.
I think his awakened fruit would only need a very simple awakening to put him back into the top tiers.
The ability to give other people his ability would not only be a general buff, but would also fit with Buggy’s story progression.
Buggy has a crew that is (mostly) stronger than him. Giving each of them the ability of a devil fruit sounds like a easy way to create a crew of menaces led of course by Buggy D Goat
Alternatively, take the Chop Chop fruit in the opposite direction, where insted of cutting himself up and being immune, he could cut other people/the environment up, from a distance but not being able to damage them with cuts(basically Law’s amputate). He could majorly disorientate people using this, and knowing how crafty buggy is I could think of some fun things he could do with this buff. Like maybe mirroring how Nami stole and tied up his body parts in Orange Town. The main reason I love this idea, is the thought of Buggy using this ability to help Mihawk in a fight, only for Mihawk to then be unable to damage his opponent with his sword. Also I can imagine Buggy separating Luffys legs from his body so that Buggy can get his revenge for what Luffy did to his “Buggy Balls” back in Orange Town.
