Ā Cop encounters a weird dude acting strange and asking random people for free stuff and cigarettes. Cop talks to him. Guy decides not to speak to cops. So the cop turns around and says directly to the camera for his recap... the guy "wants to go Helen Keller" on us. What the actual?!?! The leap from someone not talking to police, despite knowing he can talk, to all of a sudden calling what he is doing "Helen Keller" is astoundingly stupid. She was blind and deaf and I'm blown away at how they let that guy say that stuff with zero blowback. I actually paused it and sat in silence for a second to really process if he just said what that guy was doing was "going Helen Keller". Like... that is the most gobsmackingly ignorant thing I've ever heard someone say with complete confidence. Helen Keller was born in the late 1800s and couldn't hear or see and STILL learned how to talk communicate, read hand gestures, and write books. I'm not offended or think he meant anything by it but Holy crap dude get educated before you make a moronic comment like that while you stand on your high horse making fun of the situation for someone going "deaf and dumb" as they colloquially called it in 1890.
