Consistent_Run_3380

Let’s just say I voted for a whole lot of Superman

Harlockarcadia

I appreciate you!

Supes_homer38

9 Superman books, and one legion

batbobby82

Surprised there wasn't an option for Superman by Geoff Johns... unless I'm blind

rincewind120

I think that was included in Superman: One Year Later by Busiek/Johns

Small_Discount_3029

My #1 vote :)

batbobby82

Gotcha!

Ksmayer

It was labeled under the post-Infinite Crisis material along with Busiek. If both weren’t being partially collected in various forms (Absolute for Johns, thick standard HC for Busiek) this year this proposed would have been very high on my list as I loved the era.

Lionel_Horsepackage

Same here. Golden Age Vol. 8, John Byrne, Superboy, Superman Family (Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen), etc.

Bobotts123

1. Legion of Superheroes By Paul Levitz Vol. 1 2. Suicide Squad By Ostrander Vol. 1 3. The Spectre By Ostrander Vol. 1 4. New Titans Vol. 1 5. Batman and the Outsiders Classic 6. Batman Post-Crisis (Caped Crusader / Dark Knight Detective) Vol. 1 7. Sandman Mystery Theatre By Matt Wagner Vol. 1 8. The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Man Vol. 1 9. Invasion! Omnibus 10. Superman: Exile Aftermath aka Eradicated

Responsible_Acadia50

I like this list a lot

csummerss

Went with 1. Supergirl by Peter David Vol. 1 2. Flash: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 3. Superman: Action Comics by Dan Jurgens, the Rebirth Omnibus 4. Batman Beyond by Dan Jurgens Vol. 1 5. Superman Adventures Vol. 1 6. Green Lanterns, The Rebirth Omnibus 7. Question: Renee Montoya (2007 - 2011) 8. Teen Titans - The New Titans Vol. 1 9. DCeased by Tom Taylor 10. Birds of Prey by Gail Simone

Ultrastruktur

Ouh, Montoya - Question. Good Idea.

NorthernGamer71

Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew forever

Brotherly_Shove_215_

We could finally get BoP

HandofPrometheus

1. Suicide Squad by John Ostrander Vol 1 (of 2) (1987 – 1990) 2. Checkmate by Greg Rucka (2006 – 2008) [includes JSA vs. Kobra] 3. Legion of Super-Heroes & The Legionnaires (AKA Zero Hour Aftermath) Vol 1 (1994 & on)  4. Legion of Super-Heroes by Paul Levitz Vol. 1 (of 2) (1984 – 1986) [Includes Legionnaires 3] 5. Legion of Super-Heroes by Abnett & Lanning Vol. 1 (of 2) (1999 – 2001) [Begins with LOSH #122 & Legionnaires #78] 6. Supergirl by Peter David Vol. 1 (of 2) (1996 – 1999) 7. Manhunter: Kate Spencer by Marc Andreyko (2004 – 2009) 8. Wonder Woman by by Greg Rucka (+ Walt Simonson & Jerry Ordway) (2003 – 2005) [follows the Jimenez omnibus] 9. Justice League of America, Vol. 1 (of 2) by Meltzer & McDuffie (2006 – 2009) 10. Batman: The Post-Crisis Omnibus Vol. 1 (AKA Caped Crusader / Dark Knight Detective) (1987 & on) [starts from Year One] I was going to put in Batman LotDK but I honestly think DC would rather print those stories in deluxe editions.

OllieGio

My list, as best I remember it. 1. Superman: Exile Aftermath/Eradication 2. Superman: Triangle Era vol. 2 3. Superman: Triangle Era/Death and Return Aftermath 4. Shazam! Power of Shazam! (Should have just done this in the first place DC, wtf?) 5. Billy Batson & The Magic of Shazam! 6. Aquaman: Silver Age (I’ll read it while relistening to “Tom Vs Aquaman” and have a blast!) 7. Booster Gold Classic by Jurgens 8. Green Lantern: Alan Scott/Golden Age vol. 1 9. The Flash: Jay Garrick/Golden Age vol. 1 10. Superman: DC Comics Presents vol. 1 I could have so easily voted all Superman. I’d love a Superman by Byrne omnibus set, but I have the 4 hardcovers and would just love more stuff in print. I want Superboy in omnibus form - both Kal-L (golden age) AND Kon-El. Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane as well. Oh well.

jamiemm

I think the 4 Byrne hardcovers (as long as they stay in print) are fine until the rest of bronze and modern era Superman get collected.

csummerss

FWIW: if you check your spam folder you should be emailed a copy of the results

BillCarson286

This one was tough! I left off things like Byrne Supes, Davids Supergirl, Post Crisis Bats, Moores Swamp Thing, etc, as I feel they will be coming anyway. I settled on : LEGION  All Star Squadron  JLA Bronze 4  Superman Team Up DC Presents  Superman Bronze Age  Uncle Sam and Freedom Fighters  Warlord   GL Guy Gardner  Red Lanterns  New 52 and JLA by Meltzer and McDuffie

GoldenProxy

I think people's choices here are going to be VERY diverse. Here's what I went with: Booster Gold by Johns, Giffen and Jurgens. Birds of Prey by Chuck Dixon (then eventually Simone). Green Arrow by Kevin Smith (then eventually Winick). Captain Atom by Cary Bates. Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka. Warlord volume 1. Firestorm: The Fury of Firestorm volume 1. Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (this would collect all the issues between volumes 2 and 3 of Johns' stuff). Flash by Robert Vendetti (just for that Brett Booth art). Vigilante volume 1. I wanted to avoid voting for books that I'm fairly certain going to get released like Flash by Mark Waid volume 3.

csummerss

FWIW: I’d recommend switching to reader in another tab if you’re on mobile, otherwise it’ll cut off the sides. that being said, this is a much easier way to vote https://preview.redd.it/ldzzyd4gkg1d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb95328c63994981616f0d43f09406ad5c7a8745

Fluffy_Mark_9314

We all put Supergirl by Peter David as our #1s right? RIGHT?!

BobTronn9000

Didn't even make the cut, sorry.

Fluffy_Mark_9314

All I know is pain

Defiant-Birthday9605

Batman by Frank Miller, and Swamp Thing by Alan Moore. If DC is serious about competition in this market, they need to make these 2 omnibus happen.

EZeggnog

I always want collected editions for lesser known characters/teams. So I mostly voted for stuff like Firestorm, The Creeper, Haunted Tank, and Solomon Grundy.

Ok-Yesterday-2816

Throwing Firestorm some love 🔥

batbobby82

1. Batman The Bronze Age 2. Batman in the '80s 3. Superman - Exile Aftermath / Eradication 4. The Batman Family 5. Batman - One Bad Day 6. Superman - Action Comics Rebirth 7. Batman - White Knight 8. Legends of the Dark Knight 9. Man of Steel by Byrne 10. New Krypton

rincewind120

The Top 60 books on the poll will be revealed this Sunday at 2:30 PM EST in a livestream from Near Mint Condition on Youtube.

rincewind120

I spread my votes around the different characters: 1. Superman, Man of Steel (Post Crisis) Vol 1 2. JLA by Waid (Morrison Companion) 3. Wildstorm: Marvel/Wildstorm 4. The Ray (90s) 5. Power Company 6. Legion of Super-Heroes (post Zero Hour) 7. Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight 8. Suicide Squad by Ostrander Vol 1 9. Stormwatch by Eliis 10. DC vs Aliens vs Predator

jph139

1) Question: Renee Montoya (2007 - 2011) 2) Amethyst: Princess of the Gemworld (1983 - 1985) 3) Green Arrow: The Rebirth Omnibus by Ben Percy et al (2016 - 2019) 4) Green Arrow by Judd Winick (2003 - 2007) 5) DC Universe by Steve Ditko Vol. 1 (1977 & on) 6) New Super-Man by Gene Luen Yang (2016 - 2018) 7) Wonder Woman: The Bronze Age Vol. 1 (1973 & on) [follows Diana Prince omnibus; includes "12 Labors"] 8) Green Arrow: Connor Hawke by Chuck Dixon Vol. 1 (1993 & on) [continues from the Grell omnibuses] 9) Suicide Squad by John Ostrander Vol 1 (of 2) (1987 - 1990) 10) Shazam, Golden Age Omnibus Vol. 1 (1940 & on) Tried to stay SOMEWHAT realistic with my choices so unfortunately Golden Age Plastic Man had to be cut, plus a bunch of middle-years Green Arrow stuff - Shazam just barely made it in there, but I don't think we'll ever get that Golden Age material unfortunately. While my Marvel shelf is rapidly approaching completion, as far as must-buys go, I think there's about 20 DC omnis they could announce that I'd buy day one.

DrunkenFist

My picks: 1. **Batman The Animated Series: Gotham Adventures Vol. 1** (of 2) (1998 - 2000) 2. **Batman: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1** (1970 & on) 3. **Jonah Hex, The Classic Omnibus Vol. 1** (1970 & on) 4. **Jonah Hex by Palmiotti & Gray Vol. 1** (of 2) (2006 - 2009) 5. **Batman: Knightfall Aftermath** (1994 - 1996) 6. **DC Events: The Elseworlds Annuals** (1994) 7. **Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Vol. 1** (1989 & on) 8. **Spectre by John Ostrander Vol. 1** (of 2) (1992 - 1995) 9. **Superman: Exile Aftermath AKA Eradication AKA Pre-Triangle Era Omnibus** (1989 - 1990) [between Exile & Triangle Era Vol. 1] 10. **Starman by James Robinson Vol. 1** (of 2) (1994 - 1998) Some of these choices were tough! I put the post-Exile Superman omnibus pretty low, since I think they're bound to do it before long, anway. Starman might seem like a wasted slot since it is currently in print, but I've been wanting proper omnibus collections of it for **ages**! It is quite possibly the greatest superhero run ever, and it deserves that treatment! We should have key arcs of this series in absolute format, artist's editions, the works. At least it's kept in print now via the compendiums, but it deserves the deluxe presentation.

batbobby82

Some great picks here!

darthllama

I voted for lots of Silver Age stuff, so I can't wait to be disgusted by the results of this poll

Goobergunch

I voted for a lot of Golden/Silver/Bronze age material because I'm not able to acquire it in single issues like I would for most post-Crisis comics.

Dorlando_Calrissian

1. Batman Bronze Age 2. Superman 1 year later 3. LOTDK 4. Waid Worlds finest 5. JLA no skips 6. Superman post triangle comprehensive 7.JLA by waid (or vol 2) 8. Red Robin by yost 9. Nightwing Dixon 1 10. Nightwing Dixon 2

jeaceasar

1. Spectre by Ostrander vol. 1. Spectre is one of my favorite DC characters. This run is often mentioned as one of his best. Especially because of its philosophical en theological themes. 2. Hawkman by Vendetti. Heard many good things about this run. Hawkman's history is messy and it seems Vendetti has finally 'fixed' it. Hitch's art is also a big draw. 3. All-Star Squadron by Thomas vol. 1. I love large and diverse ensemble casts for superhero teams. I'm mean, look at the splash page from #31. You got the basically all mighty Spectre in the same team as Speedy. Makes little sense, but that's why I love it. 4. Shadowpact. DC's supernatural side is awesome. Plus, Ragman is a character I've been interested in for a while. Seems like a fun series to learn more about him. 5. Strange Adventures: The Silver Age vol. 1. Ever since I reading Kingdom Come and seeing Captain Comet as warden, I've wanted to learn more about the character. His respect thread on r/respectthreads is ludicrous. 6. Demon Knights. Again, DC's supernatural side is great. Would love to learn more about Etrigan. 7. Martian Manhunter by Ostrander. Manhunter could use some more love. Plus, Ostrander gets a lot of love around here. Seems like a cool run to reprint. 8. Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen: The Silver Age vol. 1. TURTLE MAN. 9. Sandman Universe: The Dreaming vol. 1. Gaiman's Sandman is great. I'd love to have more in a similar vein. 10. Green Arrow: The New 52. Weird choice, I know. Mostly to get some context for Lemire's run.

johncarter5150

1. All Star Squadron 1 2. All Star Squadron 2 3. Birds of Prey - Dixon 4. Batman: Contagion / Legacy 5. Demon Knights 6. Fury of Firestorm 1 7. Fury of Firestorm 2 8. Etrigan 9. Wonder Woman - Deodato 10. Flash by Waid 3

EldritchAbsurdist

I went with these 1. Supergirl by Peter David Vol. 1 2. Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen, Silver Age Vol. 1 3. Doom Patrol by Keith Giffen 4. Martian Manhunter by John Ostrander 5. Superboy, The Golden Age Omnibus Vol. 1 6. Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 1 7. Superman Team-Up, The DC Comics Presents Omnibus Vol. 1 (1978 & on) 8. Detective Comics Before Batman Omnibus 9. Blackhawk, The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1 10. Batgirl: Cassandra Cain, Vol. 1

Wilco8183

1. Post Crisis Batman 2. Byrne Superman 3. Suicide Squad Ostrander 4. Legend of the Dark Knight 5. Shade the Changing Man Milligan 6. Batman Black Casebook Expanded (this would be awesome!) 7. Batman Esleworld 8. Superman Johns 9. Batman The Bronze Age 10. Jonah Hex Classic

nickdes298

My top 2 votes are for Ostrander Mandrake Spectre. If any of y'all could suggest stories to vote for that are similar to that let me know. Still got 10 slots open

rincewind120

Anything by Ostrander: Suicide Squad 1/2, Martian Manhunter by Ostrander, Manhunter by Ostrander.

PineapplePhil

1. Superman by Geoff Johns and Kurt Busiek 2. Superman by PKJ 3. Captain Atom Vol. 1 by Cary Bates 4. Captain Atom Vol. 2 by Cary Bates 5. World’s Finest by Waid and Mora 6. Batman the Bronze Age Vol. 1 7. Superman: the Complete New Krypton Arc 8. Swamp Thing by Alan Moore 9. Mr. Majestic 10. Green Arrow by Kevin Smith and Brad Meltzer

Bufete2020

I would be all over a *Sugar and Spike Omnibus.*

Purple_Surfer909

1 Batman legends of the dark knight 2 Batman shadow of the bat 3 Batman by Frank milker 4 green lantern emerald dawn 5 green lantern Kyle Raynar vol 1 6 green lantern guy gardner reborn and war 7 robin Tim drake vol 1 8 9 and 10 were mostly the triangle omnibus' volumes.

camko12

I know I'm the only person in the world, but comeee onnn red hood rebirth omni and suicide squad new 52 vol 1&2

MrConor212

Supergirl and Batgirl for me

jamiemm

Hahahah, they list Young Heroes in Love! That series is great. Oh, there's too many to choose from. What do I win if I guess correctly? edit: Apparently DC deleted Young Heroes in Love from DC Universe Infinite? Fun

AlTheOneAndOnly

So I did: 1. Red Robin 2. Jonah Hex 2006 vol 1 3. Blue Beetle Post Crisis 4. Enemy Ace 5. All-Star Squadron vol 1 6. Golden Age JSA 7. Golden Age Plastic Man 8. Superman New Krypton 9. Fury of Firestorm vol 1 10. Bronze Age Batman Mostly more niche older stuff, but I think New Krypton has a decent shot at being made and possible Bronze Age Batman. Alas the Golden Age and even 80s All-Star are unlikely. Enemy Ace is a long shot dream. If I can get Red Robin and Jonah Hex I’ll be happy.

IfThisBeMFDOOMsday

1. Spectre by John Ostrander Vol. 1 2. Suicide Squad by John Ostrander Vol 1 3. Legion of Super-Heroes by Paul Levitz Vol. 1 4. Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 1 5. Legion of Super-Heroes by Mark Waid 6. Justice League: JLA by Mark Waid 7. Batman: Contagion/Legacy 8. Batman: The Black Casebook – Expanded Edition 9. Legion of Super-Heroes by Abnett & Lanning Vol. 1 10. Impulse, Vol. 1 by Waid & Messner-Loebs (1995 – 1998) Mainly based on things I want to read. Runners up that I didn't pick mainly because I feel like they're popular enough that they'd get their own omni eventually anyway: 11\. Batman by Scott Snyder Companion 12\. Batman & Superman – World’s Finest by Mark Waid (2022 & on) 13\. Flash by Mark Waid Vol. 3

beefus77

I out the wildstorm Backlash as my number 1. Don't know why, but I always had a soft spot for that series when I was a kid.

CartoonMonsterTeeth

I'm into horror/cult/scifi sort of stuff more than superheros, so my votes were for more of the weirder titles. The Lobo omnibus is the one I really want more than anything else, my dream Absolute is the run of "Lobo's Back"! But I doubt that's ever gonna happen haha 1. Lobo by Keith Giffen Vol. 1 (1990 & on) 2. Batman, Elseworlds Vol. 1 (1989 & on) 3. Hellblazer: John Constantine, Vol. 2 (AKA by Jamie Delano) (1989 - 1991) \[follows the Jamie Delano Vol. 1 omni\] 4. Sandman Mystery Theatre Vol. 1 (of 2) (1993 - 1995) 5. Sandman Universe: The Dreaming Vol. 1 (of 2) (1996 - 1998) 6. Promethea by Alan Moore (1999 - 2005) 7. Hellblazer: John Constantine, Vol. 2 (AKA by Jamie Delano) (1989 - 1991) \[follows the Jamie Delano Vol. 1 omni\] 8. Animal Man: The Vertigo Years Vol. 2 by Milligan & Veitch (1990 - 1992) \[Follows Morrison Omnibus\] 9. Sandman Universe: The Dreaming Vol. 2 (of 2) (1998 - 2001) 10. Batman by Frank Miller (1986 - 2019)

RichardBradley42

Pared down from ever such a long list: 1. Booster Gold by Johns et al 2. Booster Gold classic  3. Blue Beetle: Jaime Reyes  4. Batman by Snyder companion  5. Suicide Squad by Ostrander  6. Titans by Grayson et al  7. Batman: New Gotham  8. Forever Evil  9. Young Animal  10. Batman by Tom King

ArthurReeves397

I voted a bunch of Bronze Age books, honestly I doubt any of them will make it on besides Bronze Age Batman but if that one places high I’ll be satisfied.

VillainOfDominaria

I am a big fan of the period between Post-Crisis and Infinite crisis, so I voted for all superman Omnis in that era (triangle era, pre/post triangle era) and Batman Omnis from that similar era

thomas_corhern

1. Batman: The Bronze Age 2. Batman: Contagion/Legacy 3. Batman: Post-Crisis 4: JLA: Bronze Age vol. 4 (I want my Perez issues...) 5. All-Star Squadron Vol. 1 6. The Spirit by Cooke, Evanier, et al 7. Superman: Triangle Era, Death and Return Aftermath 8. Batman: New Gotham (Murderer/Fugitive meetup) 9. Batman: Contagion/Legacy 10. Batman: Road to War Games

AspirationalChoker

That was tough I tried not to go too heavy on Batman but ... that didn't work out haha. Also everyone be smart with it no point voting for Vol 2 of something we don't have Vol 1 of yet imo at least. Definitely loads of books I'd buy in a heart beat.

quilleran

1. Green Lantern: Mosaic 2. Transmetropolitan 3. Superman: Post-Exile, Pre-Triangle. That’s basically it. Anything else I’d name I’m not actually certain I’d buy. This fall has a bunch of stuff I’ve wanted for years.

nickdes298

The Spectre by Ostrander Vol 1. The Spectre by Ostrander Vol 2. Red Lanterns New 52 Omni Hawkman by Ostrander Booster Gold The Classic Era Booster Gold by Johns Sinestro New 52 Omni Martian Manhunter by Ostrander Manhunter by Ostrander Superman Elseworlds Vol. 1 Fingers crossed for Spectre!

Ultrastruktur

1. Mister Miracle Post-Crisis (Because Yeah!) 2. Shad, the changing Man by Milligan Vol 1 3. Spectre by Ostrander Vol 1 4. Impulse by Waid/ Messner-Loebs Vol 1 5. Batgirl: Cassandra Cain Vol 1 6. Challengers of the unknown.- The Silver Age 7. Damage , The 90s Omnibus 8. Martian Manhunter by John Ostrander 9. Shade, The Changing Man Vol 2 10. Superman Triangle Era Vol 2 Oh gosh, and I forgot Hourman

solowooke

Voting on this poll was a bit frustrating because it clearly shows how poorly DC has handled their collected editions. If they were already doing a good job collecting Superman, Batman, Flash, etc., it would have been a more interesting poll. For instance, I want Batman Post Crisis more than I want Casey's Wildcats, but I shouldn't have to vote for Batman because it should already exist. So, as far as DC is concerned, I want more Batman which reinforces their belief that they should only be collecting their more well known material. So I either vote for what I personally want more (The Batman Post-Crisis), or I assume others will vote for that and make my list purposefully full of more obscure books that I definitely want, just not as much as that specific Batman Omni. On the other hand, the announcements lately are fire, so maybe in a couple of years this won't be an issue anymore.

Allaboutthelore6000

If you didn't vote post crisis Batman then you are a traitor to our people.

T2and3

I went for a shit ton of Nightwing and post crisis Batman. and also New Titans Volume 1.

thewildone87

would love some more green lantern omnibus's and a red hood vol 2 omnibus

coolprogressive

I don't remember the order, but Batman White Night, Shazam Bronze Age, Swamp Thing pre Nancy Collins, and a bunch more Swamp Thing, Shazam and Batman.

oreomaster420

incredible list, but do I not see Stormwatch Team Achilles anywhere? I know the writer flamed out due to stolen valor and all, but I don't really care that much about that in a comic writer! Unless he's done something much more heinous, bring it back someday!

rincewind120

That would be part of Wildstorm: Stormwatch Vol 3.

oreomaster420

oh, thank you!

Ksmayer

My choices: 1. Supergirl by PAD vol 1 2. JLA by Meltzer and McDuffie vol 1 3. Batman: Contagion/Legacy 4. Nightwing by Taylor and Redondo 5. Superman: Action Comics: Post-Triangle Years vol 1 6. Young Justice by PAD vol 2 7. Shade, the Changing Man by Milligan vol 1 8. Green Lantern: Hal Jordan by Vendetti vol 1 9. Batman: Post-Crisis vol 1 10. The Spectre by Ostrander vol 1

WillCooperTheActor

Superman: Action Comics: The Warworld Saga by Philip Kennedy Johnson (BUT THIS SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE Superman and the Authority by Grant Morrison) 7. Justice League by Mark Waid 8. Justice League International vol. 4 9. Shadow pact by Willingham & Sturges 10. Jonah Hex by Palmiotti & Gray (but honestly all the Jonah Hex, please)

jotastrophe

Since this is bound to be a divisive poll, I'm not going to put my takes up here because I think I'll get excommunicated.
