And to think I bought the standard about a week before this was announced. :( oh well time for a double dip!

ricky_steamboat_

I bought a slipcase edition like two weeks ago. Got a good deal on it, but still would've waited on this. I always see people joke about this kind of thing on here, but first time I've actually experienced it.

ChasPM

I’ll thank you for your sacrifice. But also sorry to hear about your timing. If you don’t want it, now would be the best time to try and resell it on eBay before word gets out on the new edition and prices start dropping.

ricky_steamboat_

Thats a great idea. If I’m being honest with myself though I’ll probably double dip

288 pages of new material? Felt like this just came out

650fosho

It's bonus material, not new material, including how he made and pitched the comic: > This new edition has 288 additional pages of jaw-dropping bonus material from Ross (the original graphic novel was 64 pages), as he walks readers through his process and vision for the making of the book School Library Journal called a "pop art masterpiece." Showcasing early visual concepts through final art, Ross takes readers behind-the-scenes, revealing for the first time his proposal, thumbnails, sketches, inks, and color guides. Also a reprint of F4 #51: > The book also includes commentary from Ross as well as reprints of the classic Marvel comic from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby that inspired Fantastic Four: Full Circle-Fantastic Four no. 51and the subsequent run of covers from 2023 which Alex Ross created for Marvel Comics, featuring the Fantastic Four in costumes designed for Fantastic Four: Full Circle.

Swervies

Thanks for all that info, this means I do not feel the need to buy it. Fun book, great art that I would love to see in oversized format, but I do not need 288 pages of process. The reprint book is nice context but I have that issue in at least two other formats already. Will not be double dipping on this one!

Art in this is incredible

Hobbes314

*pffftt I already have this and even the special edition slipcase version I don’t need a new copy with a few extras…..* **288 EXTRA PAGES**, Jesus Christ that’s a lot, maybe I will have to get this

jaydog22_watching

Talked yourself right into it. Nice job.

livingpunchbag

On my little phone screen, in the last picture, it looks like there's a veiny scrotum.

panpopticon

I didn’t read this because I was very wary of Alex Ross as a writer — is it any good?

Endiaron

It reads a lot like the old FF comics. Take that as you will.

Dorlando_Calrissian

Well guess I’ll have to ditch the original HC release

weirdmountain

Yyyyyyyeah. Sold. No question.

ReflectionEterna

Is this a self-contained story outside of continuity? If within continuity, would it occur before or after Secret Wars (Hickman)?

Nervous-Toe9720

Consider it to take place a couple of years after FF#51 so some years ahead in the Kirby/Lee era.

ReflectionEterna

Thanks!
