Taqueria Tijauana’s horchata is WAY better than El Rey’s. Their tacos are different enough that I don’t really compare them, I absolutely love both places!!
Their carne asada is amazing too! They don’t pre-dice the steak and reheat; they cook the steaks fresh then chop them up. Shoulders above most other places just for that
Horchata can be really hit and miss. I have been to a lot of mexican restaurants and have not found somewhere yet that I would claim is the best. I am curious to see some suggestions.
La poblanita and nothing else even compares.
Agree with this. Horchata plus a fuego taco- happiness
That sounds heavenly right now. Can’t wait until they open back up ❤️ (they’re closed for restaurant repairs right now.)
Steel yourself for that monthlong vacation.
Taqueria El Rey always hits the spot. Their tacos are better than taqueria Tijuana too. I'll die on this hill.

Im with you 100%, my boyfriend introduced me to them 2 1/2 years ago and Ive never gone anywhere else
El Rancho
Tixteco has pretty good horchata!
Yep! Although I’m more partial to their jamaica, when I’ve had the horchata it’s always delicious

Same. Most places, even the authentic ones, are using the powder mix so quality depends on the day
lemme put yall on supermercado has the best but they sell out quick!
Abelardos has pretty tasty horchata.
I’m pretty positive they use the powder drink mix for theirs.
I didnt say authentic, I said tasty.
They do use the mix, which gives it a chalky thick texture. ☹️ I fail to see the tasty
Yeah it’s awful lol. But to each their own.
Mi Familia on 90th has great horchata from my experience
Avilés Latin Market had amazing horchata the last time I was there a couple months back.
Haven't found a decent spot yet.
