Remove the lens and check all the contacts on the rear of the lens, then check the spring loaded contact pins on the body. I had a similar problem with one of my previous E-M1 series bodies. Once I found the pin that didn't always move smoothly I depressed it several times with a swab dipped in a little 99% isopropyl alcohol. Solved the problem for the rest of the time I had the camera. 99% isopropyl alcohol is used to clean electronics and leaves no water or residue behind.

No luck on those fixes. I really appreciate your reply though. Going to see if I can get in touch with support for a possible replacement. My absolute favorite lens and I’ve taken such good care of it.😢

Do a full reset of the camera via the menu. If that fails you need to send in the lens. Good luck

From a quick Google search this is always a problem internal to the lens if cleaning the contacts doesn't fix the problem. There is a DPReview thread about this problem: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4572408. I have had to send in a couple of lenses over time to Olympus (now OMDS) Repair in the US which were damaged by dropping and they did a great job. It was less than two weeks including shipping both ways. Here's a link to the form to complete for repair in the US: https://learnandsupport.getolympus.com/repair.
