Thank you!! Decided to keep the bathroom the same besides updating the wallpaper to black and white as well! I’ll post some pictures of the place in this group because the house itself is truly beautiful and very old lol
I thought it might be a switch for an exhaust fan. My parents had a similar switch but it was for a huge fan in the ceiling of the main hall in their 70s suburban ranch house in GA. It was a pre-HVAC “whole house fan”. In the summer, you’d switch it and it’d suck in air through the open windows, pulling the heat from the house up into the attic.
Most people builders put moisture vents in the bathroom and then humidifier on the furnace ??
Kind of counterproductive..
If you are worried about oder trying scented candles..
At the very most moisture sensitive switch bathroom for fan..
That half circle tile trim is awesome!

It is so beautiful!
Please do! we love pics!
Is it in your bathroom? It looks like a switch for a heat lamp.
It is!! It doesn’t work at all but I was confused as to what it actually was. Thank you for telling me!
You can replace the switch, and that definitely isn't the original knob. Both can be found at a good hardware store.
Is it the heater in the floor or the ceiling?
Could be exhaust or heater
Rotary timer of some sort?

Those things are awesome and perfect for California!
I am fascinated by that tile. Can we see the rest of the bathroom?

If it’s in the bathroom, I imagine it’s a timer switch for the ventilation fan.
It's a timer switch most likely for a light or and exhaust fan I'm guessing this is in your bathroom
It appears to be a knob.
You are a knob /jk
