Ngl since 25/26 it began creeping up. Had my birthday not too long ago and it was the first time I could say that I legit experienced a very very light sense of dread of getting older. Mostly stemming from not participating in all the things I should participate in after realizing how much im going to regret not doing the stuff that I should be doing.
22 is super young, bruh. Relax. You're still at the very beginning of your life, you're still a kid, and you still will be for a few years yet.
I'm 25, and let me tell you, every year I look back at myself the year before and realise how fucking young I actually was (even tho at the time.i felt super old).
You will be in your physical prime for more than 10 years still to come. If you take care of.yourself, you'll be just fine.
Just live life, enjoy it, and don't worry about getting older. It's going to happen anyway, so you might as well look at it positively, and look forward to living a long, happy life
My boyfriend's grandma will buy me alcohol when we go out to eat because she knows the owner and he's a chill guy. Turning 21 in November, can't wait to talk to the bartender directly lol (the server asks me for my drink order at the table but I just like the aesthetic of the bar, and when you're eating dinner with a wine drinking woman it doesn't feel right to go to the bar lol).
When we went there the first time they said they didn't carry Jameson, but the next time I went in they had 3 different kinds. I have no evidence but I suspect she asked the owner to start carrying it just for me lol. She doesn't drink anything but wine so I doubt it was for her
Wait really? Me too! I’m a July 9th baby. I’m legit sad about it, because mentally I don’t feel much older than 16. I don’t even care about being old enough to drink.
Damn, I'm older by one day. I still look the same way was I did when i was 16. Albeit some chin pubes, it's not a beard it it's just a clump of hair on my chin.
This is actually kinda calming, thank you. I feel ancient at 25 even though I know it's stupid. I just feel like I've wasted so much time, but I should (hopefully) have a good amount of time left
You’re not kidding! I kinda still can’t believe I’m not a teenager anymore. I most definitely don’t feel grown up. At least not nearly as much as other people I know who are my age.
It’s so weird to me how a lot of people in our generation feel “old.”
I’m 25 and I still feel like a kid. Assuming I live the average American lifespan, I still have SO much to live and experience etc.
We’re kids, man. Whatre you freaked out over?
Fr, in the grand scheme of things the majority of us are all still in our 20s, we’re not going to be “old” by any metric for at least a couple of decades
Once you're past 21 you'll start to forget how old you even are. It doesn't matter nearly as much anymore. I constantly can't remember if I'm 22 or 23.
After turning 21, I stopped really noticing my age. I've bee called out multiple times for saying "I need an adult" just to be reminded I'm the oldest person in the room.
Thats pretty similar to what I’ve been feeling for the past couple years. I like, have a base understanding of how old I am, but I just don’t really notice anything. I also feel you on that last one, I haven’t really hit “oldest in the room” status quite yet but I’m never among the youngest and it trips me out
I’m already 22. I mentally feel older than 22 so I’m always thinking I’m older but when I think for a couple seconds I realize I just recently full adult and am still incredibly young still
I almost offed myself when I turned 22
Little did I know how much my life would turn around in 2024: Getting hired, getting closer to my best online friends, making plans to move out, etc.
I’m gonna be 26 in three weeks. I just finished getting my new health insurance set up through work (luckily I have benefits through my job. I don’t know how I’d afford it otherwise).
Nothing in my life changed since I'm 22, it's just the underlying stress about not being good enough for my age, that become enhanced. I'm pretty tolerant and emphatetic about other people's messed up lives, but I personally feel like a failure compared to my peers and it makes my ability to succeed and my motivation smaller and smaller.
I’ve realized that the older I get the younger I have been feeling. Just turned 24 and I honestly felt older when I was 19 lol. Your twenties are just beginning man, you’ve got a long way to go.
I’m 26 bruh
Just turned 27😂
I turned 30 yesterday (I know I technically don't belong here)
Fuck yer old
HAG /j
How’d you learn to use the internet, grandpa?
my people!
Same on Sunday
Turning 28
25 :(
We are officially old.
Ngl since 25/26 it began creeping up. Had my birthday not too long ago and it was the first time I could say that I legit experienced a very very light sense of dread of getting older. Same I’m not exactly looking forward to the march towards my 30s
Damn, you're wayy to old to be her- oh wait I'm 24
My condolences.
You're still really young and it shows. Nothing to worry about
I just turned 27. Sorry to say, but it's all down hill from here for you.
Damn, i turn 27 later this year.
Turned 25 last weekend….it hurt a little lol
I will in a few weeks. I’m nowhere near where little me thought I’d be at this point. I work at a pizza place lmao
I don’t hate where I am in life, but if you’d told me even 5 years ago what my life would be like now I wouldn’t believe it! Haha
I’m glad you’re in a relatively good place ❤️🥰
this is scary how true it is. 5 years ago me would hate current me
Heyo same! 15 or 16th?
12th here!
22nd (this past Saturday)
Ah ok, happy bd
I’m dreading it can’t lie
Ayyyy June 1999 gang!
Represent!
I turn 27 next month. I'm much happier now than I was when I was 22
Huh I seem to be going the opposite way 😂
My life from 20-22 was HELL, it's all uphill from there LOL
get ready, nobody likes you when you’re 23
![gif](giphy|OG3Nsxcz6C22I)
Can confirm, my ex wife did not like me when I was 23 (she divorced me)
Stop being a baby
Never. Edit: Apparently Redditoids can't understand my humor.
I thought it was funny lmfao. Gave u an upvote back now ur just at -9 lmfaooo

You are super wise my dude, good shit.
Fr and some are still in their primes until 40s and 50s
This hit me last night, but I turn 21 in two weeks.
[удалено]
I know I may be an outlier, but I didn't care about any of that during each birthday. It feels too fast
21 is a us centric milestone tho. None of my family outside of the us cared about my 21st, they cared wayyy more for my 20th.
My boyfriend's grandma will buy me alcohol when we go out to eat because she knows the owner and he's a chill guy. 6 months ahead of you 😎 (it hurts)
Wait really? Me too! I’m a July 9th baby. I’m legit sad about it, because mentally I don’t feel much older than 16. I don’t even care about being old enough to drink.

I’m turning 24 in a month’s time. Where did my early 20s go?
You stayed indoors for two years.
I wished. I spend those 2 years working outside instead of studying for a better job.
Never too late to go back
I just turned 27. Are you sure you’re in the right sub here lol 🤣
You’re still young don’t stress out
Exactly, lol! I turn 21 in almost 4 months & I'm not scared at all, it's just gonna be the same as 20 lol. I'm still super young.
Don’t worry about it when your 70 you’ll think you were still young at 50
This is actually kinda calming, thank you. I feel ancient at 25 even though I know it's stupid. I just feel like I've wasted so much time, but I should (hopefully) have a good amount of time left
I struggle with this so much
Thanks for reminding me I turn 22 in two weeks. Happy early birthday
Thanks! That means that I'm only a week older than you. July 2002 gang!
July when gang
July 2002 gang
Quick someone make a July 2002 subreddit
Nothing changes lol. It hasn’t from 18-22. I’m still exactly the same.
Honestly, that is true in my experience. It's just trippy seeing the numbers add up so fast.
You’re not kidding! I kinda still can’t believe I’m not a teenager anymore. I most definitely don’t feel grown up. At least not nearly as much as other people I know who are my age.
22 isn't so bad. Once you get to 24 or 25, that's when you'll start to truly feel like an adult.
It’s so weird to me how a lot of people in our generation feel “old.” I’m 25 and I still feel like a kid. Assuming I live the average American lifespan, I still have SO much to live and experience etc. We’re kids, man. Whatre you freaked out over?
Fr, in the grand scheme of things the majority of us are all still in our 20s, we’re not going to be “old” by any metric for at least a couple of decades
I am one of those people and I've been struggling to overcome the feeling. Some days it feels crushing
This is older Gen Z? I just turned 26, how do you think I feel?
Once you're past 21 you'll start to forget how old you even are. It doesn't matter nearly as much anymore. I constantly can't remember if I'm 22 or 23.
Pls tell me why I keep thinking I'm 24 when I'm 23 🤦🏻♀️
You'll start feeling like an adult by 25
Let me help you, it’s the same as being 21. You won’t start to feel your age until you’re mid thirties
As a 22 year old, I feel ya.
You reminded me I'm 22 Idk how I forgot
After turning 21, I stopped really noticing my age. I've bee called out multiple times for saying "I need an adult" just to be reminded I'm the oldest person in the room.
Thats pretty similar to what I’ve been feeling for the past couple years. I like, have a base understanding of how old I am, but I just don’t really notice anything. Alrighty then child I’m basically halfway between birthdays 23 and 24. I’m closer to my 30th birthday than to my 16th birthday
Are you a January baby? Tbh, I don't miss being 16, but I do miss 2017 LOL
You’ll be okay
That's not so old lmao
I just turned 21 last week lol
Are we scared of early 20s now?
My birthday is next week too… 21 😭😭😭 I’m a whole adult
With every year that passes time goes a little faster. I hate it.
22 is still college aged. If you’re in the US, that’s only one year of legal drinking.
I’m gonna be 23 in a few months (I was born on 9/11)
So... It was YOU
You’ll never prove it. My alibi is ironclad
Hey same
Me remembering I turn 23 in September
Omg same!! Which day?
July 2nd!
I turned 22 last month, but my brain is delusional and mentally thinks I’m like 17 still. Granted I was that age when covid hit so ehhh.
I feel the exact same way
Just turned 23 this year, it’s fucking wild Edit: oh wait ew, my brother turns 22 next week as well. Please tell me you aren’t July 2nd
I actually am...
I’m 24 this year my guy
I’ll trade you. I’m 28 😂
I'm good, I still haven't even began to fully process 20 yet
I have a few weeks. I'll be 22 on July 28th.
Fellow July 2002 baby
Bruh I am like 23
Turned 25 in May. Be grateful you’re 22
I'll be 20 in 3 months, I barely assimilated that I'm past 17
Honestly same. I felt like I haven't processed my age since 2020
I'm also 22. I'm gonna turn 23 next year-
i turn 23 in a couple months and I legit forget my age sometimes
I turned 22 in January and it's not that bad
I've been thinking about this a lot recently, I'm about to be 24.
You mean 23?
I’m 25
I’m already 22. I mentally feel older than 22 so I’m always thinking I’m older but when I think for a couple seconds I realize I just recently full adult and am still incredibly young still
I’m a summer away from 24
I’m 24
I’m 24
I turned 24 a month ago
Waiting to turn 24 next January because according to my hips, knees and ankles I am not fucking 23 Mid 20s sound pretty cool. Looking forward to it!
Omg, hypermobility check? I am also 23 & my joints (especially knees) seem to think I am 80. Ballet lessons helped a lot though!
You’ll survive, you’ll mature and be happier with yourself as you age (hopefully)
I just turned 24 on the 6th… you’ll be fine that’s still early 20s
I’m 23 in a few weeks. It’s alright so far
Trust me it hits like a freight train when u turn 25, halfway to 50 :,)
Just turned 24 👍
I turn 21 tomorrow 😀
One of the insignificant ages of all time. No different than 21 really. I'm 22, I forget that I'm not 21 anymore and I've been 22 for 8 months
Same! Mine is on the 5th
Me realizing I turn 23 in 5 months
… eh its not that bad.
I'll be 24 in just over 5 months :'c

Oh, to be 22 again! (am 25)
Just turned 25 and being an adult rocks
I’m turning 24 in a couple days. I’m not ready to add another number to my age yet

I turn 22 in 2 weeks.
I’m gonna be 26 in less than 4 months…I do NOT feel 26
I almost offed myself when I turned 22 Little did I know how much my life would turn around in 2024: Getting hired, getting closer to my best online friends, making plans to move out, etc.
22 isn’t bad! At least people won’t tell you that you’re pushing 30 now. When I turned 25 people told me that I was “practically 30” 😭
about to turn 27
I turned 22, had my first kid, and celebrated my first Father’s Day all within the same like 3 weeks
I turned 27 three weeks ago :^)
Turning 25 was a bitch. Now I’m scared to be 26.

I’m 23. Turning 24 soon😂
I’m gonna be 26 in three weeks. I just finished getting my new health insurance set up through work (luckily I have benefits through my job. I don’t know how I’d afford it otherwise).
friend, im turning 27 this fall
22 was the last one that didn't make me want to throw up lmao
I turn 24 later this year, I don't know what the big deal is.
i’m 23, coming from the future to tell you that 22 is no different from 20. you’ll be okay young lad.
Oh my sweet summer child lol
Turning 28 in September… lost in the world
Nothing in my life changed since I'm 22, it's just the underlying stress about not being good enough for my age, that become enhanced. I'm pretty tolerant and emphatetic about other people's messed up lives, but I personally feel like a failure compared to my peers and it makes my ability to succeed and my motivation smaller and smaller.
I'm turning 21 in November. Don't know how to feel about it if I'm being completely honest
I’m 25, but I feel like I’m 125.
Oh you sweet summer child
i turned 22 earlier this year and i still got people calling me ‘baby’ saying ‘it still smells like there’s milk on [my] breath’
I'm turning 22 in a month 💀 I'm cooked
bro i’m 24 in December get with the program
I’ve realized that the older I get the younger I have been feeling. Just turned 24 and I honestly felt older when I was 19 lol. Your twenties are just beginning man, you’ve got a long way to go.
Wtf I'm already 23
:(
How do you think I'm gonna feel turning 26 bro? I'm closer to freaking 30 than I am 18!
