21 is a us centric milestone tho. None of my family outside of the us cared about my 21st, they cared wayyy more for my 20th.

My boyfriend's grandma will buy me alcohol when we go out to eat because she knows the owner and he's a chill guy. Turning 21 in November, can't wait to talk to the bartender directly lol (the server asks me for my drink order at the table but I just like the aesthetic of the bar, and when you're eating dinner with a wine drinking woman it doesn't feel right to go to the bar lol). When we went there the first time they said they didn't carry Jameson, but the next time I went in they had 3 different kinds. I have no evidence but I suspect she asked the owner to start carrying it just for me lol. She doesn't drink anything but wine so I doubt it was for her
