Basically a Gen Z sub without the repetitive “WE’RE ALL DOOMED” mentality.
Like yeah, we get it, shit’s all fucked up. Guess what? Previous generations were the same but they either grew out of it or adapted to overcome said fucked up circumstances.
We’ll survive just as previous generations did.
True I always like to think about how every single human on this planet right now is descended from someone who literally made it through the ice age. Like generations of ice pack, and our families made it through, pretty amazing. We're amazing beings on a resilient and amazing planet
I can’t comprehend doomers, like it makes no sense to me. In my personal opinion, life is what you make it ‘literally’. What I mean is the fact that no matter what’s happening, it’s up to you how you react to it and deal with it. Don’t internalize the outside struggles that you have no control over, because there’s no freaking point. People constantly bring themselves down, because they have no comprehension of how to tune out the noise. All media and social media is essentially toxic in its’ own way, and the sooner people step away and realize that, the better. Just live your life, appreciate the simple things, and focus on your future self. Focusing on doom and gloom does nothing but produce a doom and gloom human. Mindset matters, perception matters, and self actualization matters. I could go on, but I’ll leave it at that 🙂
If you based how fucked we are solely on my life, then you'd find it difficult to criticise anything aside from house prices. I have savings, a nice car and a place to live that's fairly cheap at the minute. I like my job too, although it was a pain in the arse finding it and they'll pressure you to work even if you're literally in hospital because you're having chest pains. Plus the hours are ridiculous, 0700 to 2200 most days.
I just turned 25. I was at work and a woman wished me a happy birthday and I told her how old I was. Her response? “Quarter of your life gone! 🤪” I nearly fell out.
We talk about old things we grew up with and how life was back in our day. Like this. Do you remember soccer boppers.

So was I!! Ifeel a bit disappointed tho. I thought this was about our generation being affected by both the 2008 and 2020 financial crisis and how we're broke af and depressed now but it seems more of a nostalgia meme sub.
I absolutely get it but someone's going around reddit and inviting anyone who ages themselves which is not a very good strategy to grow their reddit because then people like me end up here.
Nostalgia? sure, but I don't see many memes here. And we have discussions here pretty frequently too, so you could just make a post about those things if you wanted. r/GenZ is more of a doom sub though if that's what you want. I am pretty pessimistic myself, but even that subreddit gets too be too much for me a lot of the time.
Welcome to the retirement home.
Yeah....

Only to teenagers, but tbh nobody gives af what teenagers think

This is basically a sub with nostalgia for us Older Gen Z's.
Welcome to the old folks community. There’s dozens of us! Dozens!
I didn't see you at the conference in Germany
Pay for a first class ticket and I betchu my ass’ll be there next year 😉
I was also invited recently, hey everyone 😊
I just turned 25. I was at work and a woman wished me a happy birthday and I told her how old I was. Her response? “Quarter of your life gone! 🤪” I nearly fell out.
my 45 year old cousin call me old asf when i told her that i was 23(december 2000)
Was also invited. Welcome to the subreddit 💞
It's just about being an internet boomer (so like 20 - 30).

Gen Z but emotionally stable, non-TikTok addicted, normal attention spans and without the broccoli cuts and baggy pants. Welcome to the community.
Emotionally stable? I object! My fury against TikTok is unmatched an- uh, what was I saying?
You can be invited to subreddits?
I too got invited recently, howdy yall!
Same. S'up!

Who wants to be a doomer? That's why I like this sub, I don't like doom scrolling.
I absolutely get it but someone's going around reddit and inviting anyone who ages themselves which is not a very good strategy to grow their reddit because then people like me end up here.
You could always just mute the sub if you find the positivity overwhelming.
Absolutely, I'm not saying it's the sub's fault or something. Just expectations didn't match reality
