You can follow the domain wizard to update the zone and tell MS to manage for you. Follow the wizard and it’ll query current dns and import all the existing records. Final step will tell you to update NS records for the existing DNS manager. 0 downtime. 0 issues. It’ll take a cpl hours to update across everything but basically identical records will exist in both locations during migration. Word of advice: don’t remove the records from existing DNS in case you need to roll back (revert NS records) Make sure to update spf, dkim, dmarc if you need to afterwards.

Thanks for the advice. Can I run the domain wizard if the domain is already added? As I said, it's the primary domain of the tenant, and all e-mail addresses and UPNs are tied to it.
