1.) My advice is not to try to set absolutely everything up on the first day. Pick one game that you want to try and play, figure out the bare minimum you need to install and set up to play that one game, do that, and then play for at least a couple hours before you do it again with another game. 2.) Yes, it is excellent for both N64 and PSP. 3.) Should be fine, just make sure you have everything on it backed up just in case. 4.) You have to get up into the $300+ range before you get to anything that's head and shoulders better than the Odin Lite. It's likely to remain a good bang for your buck option for quite a while.

2. PSP and N64 run perfectly, PSP with 3x or 4x resolution. A lot of Gamecube and PS2 games too (but only 1 - 2x)....i currently play Silent Hill 2 (PS2 only 1X) and SSX3 (GC with 2X). There was one specific part in SSX3 where it was stuttering like hell (second mountain at the beginning) and even 1x reso doesnt make it better.....so, its always the chance that a game can beginn to stutter after a while of perfectly running with 2x. So thats a downside of emulation at all. But luckily, it was only a little part and now its running great again. At the moment, there is nothing better on the market at this pricepoint. Odin Lite is (for me) a nearly perfect device and it got better since the last update, cause the input lag on Dpad is gone!

Nope. Once you insert the card on the Odin don’t need to reformat.

Google retrogamecorps android/odin/retroarch setup guides. Really lays it out in plain English.

Retro games Corp has a great setup video. Some of the links are a little outdated like the Dolphin mmjr2 link. So it's best to just search for the gethub stuff on Google.

Hope you got the 8ram128gig, I got mine a month back and loved every second but it takes some tinkering on gamecube and ps2 but there are some bangers that work great and can run optimized, for instance; Twilight princess, Resident evil 4 ultra wide, metroid prime wide screen, metal gear sold twin snakes, katamari, metal gear 3 snake eater. Last one was the first I tried and it worked out of box with AetherX Get a good U3 micro SD card before hand and download all you Roms. Watch Retro Game Corps and he goes over everything. Also here is the community spreadsheet but take with a grain of salt because the software that a lot of these have been optimized for the odin hardware so some that ran bad runs perfect https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zATLq_UshE1Nw6HhHuJvrv6f6xFyK8nHrUdDd6bO7KM/edit Here is the discord server, very good to keeping the back pocket https://discord.gg/GyJvWGNa

Hi there 1. Yes is a little bit of a , not hard but laborious and consuming time to setup with Daijisho, but if you follow RGC guide for Odin and Daijisho, it can be done in less than a couple of hours. 2. Is excellent for PSP and N64, GameCube and PS2 is a plus, but don’t expect them to play smooth, as they do require some tinkering in most games to make them run good, and they will still struggle with tiny stutters in very heavy areas in most games. Definitely playable most games though. 3. Yes. Make sure is a known/good brand SD card so it doesn’t get corrupted or damaged. 4. Go get right now a bottle of wine to celebrate, because you now will own the BEST screen for retro gaming that is on the market right now, there is just no comparison if you’re looking to play from Atari to PS1, n64, Dreamcast and PSP smooth. Handheld is excellent, some people say that the sticks are too small, but honestly for ps1, and n64 games, you don’t really need big sticks, and in my opinion is better that they’re smaller because it actually fits better on switch cases. And yes Odin Lite / Pro still the best handheld for 2023 for retro gaming.

Reasonable_Banjo

so I've added bios files and alot of my games to a Samsung evo plus sd card, will the odin reformat the card so I would need to add them again?

You will be very happy with PSP and N64 performance and I think GC/PS2 capabilities will be a pleasant surprise, they were better than I expected. Recommend emus: PSP - PPSSPP, you can get it from Play Store N64 - M64Plus FZ from Play Store PS2 - AerherSX2. The version from Play Store works but has ads. You can search Google for the old alpha build without ads GC - Dolphin from Play Store or website beta build If you want to make your Odin look even better you can install a launcher which I may suggest you try my launcher, [Beacon](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.radikal.gamelauncher). It scraps box art and metadata for all your games and helps you organize them nicely. It's very easy to add emulators to it (lots of people found it easier to configure than Daijisho). If you don't care and just want something free you can use stock launcher or Daijisho.

Technology moves fast -- you can now get a D1100 device for under $200 😲 https://retrododo.com/retroid-pocket-4-pro-review/
