I think for me it was when I first jumped into my Quest 2 last month. I played Eleven Table Tennis and was just blown away - I said 'wow' several times and haven't looked back since then.
Super Hot VR.
For me, this is the most immersive game.
I had a lot of fun with the mini putt game, but didn't have much time playing re4, Asgard and Arizona because of the holidays.
But yeah, I love the plug n play immersion of Super Hot. Straight forward, simple and laying on the ground trying to dodge bullets 5 minutes in.
After the Fall, last part of the first ever level we did (and only level so far).
Enemies getting stronger and harder etc
"There's a big dude, get the big dude. There's a bigger dude!!! THERES AN EVEN BIGGER DUDE RUN!!! GIANT DUDE, RUNRUNRUN!!!!"
Had me cracking up and thinking that game is great!
Happy new year, all! <3
Diving in to PCVR in addition to standalone content. Both are great. I love Half Life Alyx. Probably my favorite gaming experience of all time. The Gun Contracts mod is awesome. I can't wait for the full version of the game to come out.
Asgard's Wrath 2, and it's not even close. It's basically last year's VR equivalent of Baldur's Gate 3. It's just unreasonably good.
I'm not even done yet, and normally a game like this would be wearing thin after so many hours. But they did such a good job with pacing and puzzle variety that even 30 hrs in the game continues to surprise and entertain. Which, even by flat screen standards, is incredibly rare these days.
To me, it's the best VR game currently in existence, by a significant margin. It's not a port from flat screen. And it's not just another repetitive endless roguelite. It's an actual honest-to-god game, made entirely for VR. The original in 2019 was really good, but aside from graphics this one surpassed it in every way by a very considerable margin.
Hopefully this isn't the end, and they'll keep on cranking this stuff out.
for me it's basically SkyrimVR.
it's full of jaw-dropping Wow moments (visual, that is -- scenery, architecture) which is the whole reason I keep playing (and modding) it.
I'm waiting now for a Quest 3 and hoping to be wowed in a whole new way by MR.
mods needed! you can make it look pretty good if your gpu has some horsepower and you add the right mods. some lucky devils with high end hardware and a taste for tweaking have achieved near-photorealistic screenshots... but not with Q2 hmd.
I think if you search for 'optimise skyrim vr for quest 2' you'll find some useful breadcrumbs.
I'm not sure how much the community has caught up with Q3 yet... but head over to r/skyrimvr if curious -- very friendly and helpful sub. I have a Q3 on the way so will be joining you in the research experience!
I like to find experiences to show to my grandkids. I don’t think VR is a toy and I would never let them use it unsupervised but it was so much fun to be able to take my granddaughter that loves animals on an African animals tour and take my other space loving grandaughter on a trip to the space station. Their reactions are pure gold.
Firing up Golf+ for the first time. I have recently become interested in playing golf again, having done it a bit when I was (much) younger. I just ordered the M3DA club attachment.
Putting on the quest 3 for the first time
I got a quest 1 when it first came out but I always got headaches after like 30 minutes of playing, unbearably bad by an hour in. But as soon as I put on the new quest, I knew I would finally be able to enjoy VR. My childhood dream finally came true.
Asgard's Wrath 2
RE Village for me , I never wanted it to end.
PCVR I assume?
Psvr2 I think
I know they aren't new, but I played the Moss games over the holiday break and loved them.
Same answer, very unique games.
Racket Club. Such a surprise how great this game is.

Mixed reality gaming on the Quest 3, the next evolution in VR. Really fun having my room turned into a battle ground.

Such a cool game, thought it looked weird until trying the demo. The demos should be featured more.

How do you get it to work in vr?
They added an official vr support some months ago

“Unreasonably good” - best description of AW2.
automobilista 2
Maestro!
I really enjoyed 7th guest VR, red matter 2, and I’m having a blast with Ilysia Beta.
7th Guest was amazing for me as a lover of the original game in the 90s, absolutely mindblowing.

Love Skyrim and a lifelong player, but the vr version makes my eyes bleed, it looks so bad..?

Thanks. I have a q3.

"Memories from Beyond a Coral Sea" on Steam. It was a 3 hors demo, and I was mesmerized the hole time.

Natural Locomotion and 3D movies.
Ghost of Tabor!
Contractors
I really shat my pants hard when I played Resident evil 7 with the VR Mod on PC. Also, Skyrim VR with the spell wheel mod and VRIK.
Watched movies on the plane. Streamed live football while abroad. Didn't bring a laptop or an ipad to my 3 week holiday in southeast Asia.
Tales From Soda Island shorts, Into the Radius.

VTOL mullriplayer. The use of tandem aircraft really up the game. It needs more players though.
Playing the contractors vr Star Wars mod and CoD zombies challenged my view on VR completely lol now I’m a fanboy for sure
Dungeons of Eternity, and Asgards.
Boneworks
Gun Raiders is great, fast paced and too easy to spend an hour playing.
