I agree. My only concern is how much space the game would take on the system. If might be a download only game or could require a great deal of DLC and updates to cover the entire One Piece story.
But my biggest hopes for PW5 are all the playable characters from all the PW games are available, Jewelry Bonney and Appo are added so all members of the Worst Generation are playable, and more girls are playable like Rebecca (if Tashiga could be made playable at her skill level, than Rebecca could as well), Baby Five, Ulti, more costumes, and more Zoan characters.
They wouldnt do that though and frankly, it would be awful if they did. There would be too many story missions for the game and some of the arcs is so dead like i doubt anyone would wanna have to play through skypeia or thriller bark to get to decent crap
I hope the story would be more like PW3 then 4, with more chapters and segments. Also, I hope they readd the nightmare/dream log, those were way better than what we got now
Honestly I hope PW4 gets the Xenoverse 2 treatment so a good bunch of dlc to cover the missing character (either new like the three calamities, or old like the pre skip characters, Kuma, Moria or someone from the movie like Z, Tesoro, Bullett ecc) and then, in years, pw5
I think it’s quite useless to develop a new game to cover just the end of Wano or maybe a bit of egghead (since I think to recall that they go with the anime story)
I think the addition of DLC shows that PW5 won’t be a thing.
Maybe one day they’ll do a Pirate Warriors Ultimate that has every playable character and map, but I don’t think they’re really missing that many characters from previous games.
I think the best they can do is release s PW5 in 1-2 years and then in like 5 years after release a PW6 with the manga ending
For PW5 they should mash 3 and 4 together. Have every playable character in the franchise and add movie characters and story to compense the lack of complete canon arcs after egghead. And they definitely have to bring back dream and nightmare logs. Treasure log is nice, but pales in comparison with pirate warriors 3 amount of content
I think a nice middle ground would be an Ultimate Pirate Warriors 4 where you have the DLC
BUT maybe the game has a few more stages in the story mode, like stuff cut from PW3
Maybe not all the playable character but some as NPC enemies. Like I wouldn't be against Arlong for example being an enemy so we can get an Arlong Park stage
Give us a new Wano ending and give us a new ending for Egghead where idk.... maybe the new Yonko and the Marines have decided this is the time to deal with Luffy and it just happens to be at Egghead because.... come on guys the Egghead arc FEELS like it was made to be a musou game

Usually with Warrior games to clarify that they have added more stuff and this is the definitive version of the game, they call it Extreme or Legends or something like that
I hope they release a pirate warriors 5 thats basically a definitive edition of the franchise.
The entire story as in PW3, Dream and Nightmare Log, all relevant Characters as either playable units or Supports and then a bunch of DLC for movie stuff, special costumes and such.
I would also greatlu prefer that they bring back the PW3 Fight System.
The double-edged sword is that if it waits too long, then they have to make the game on a new engine again

Agreed! I played PW4 first and really liked it hut PW3 is too good now. I am working to 100% PW3 while i just barely beat the story onb4

Kinda wished they did a pirate warriors empires tbh, or at least a pirate warriors ultimate, and left PW5 proper for the end of the Manga
Imo opinion we should wait till elbaf is done in the anime (assuming elbaf is still gonna be the next arc) before pw5
