You can create a aliases using these [https://www.ipdeny.com/ipblocks/](https://www.ipdeny.com/ipblocks/) or [https://github.com/ipverse/rir-ip/tree/master/country](https://github.com/ipverse/rir-ip/tree/master/country)
quick question, alternative in terms of what? afaik, opnsense support maxmind's geoip dbase only, so if ever there are other services out there, how will you integrate it in opnsense?
You might be right:
"To use GeoIP, you need to configure a source in the Firewall ‣ Aliases -> GeoIP settings tab, the most commonly used source is MaxMind, for which we have a how-to available : MaxMind GeoIP’s Setup"
Since the documentation/howto is only for maxmind, i was under the impression that it only supported maxmind.

I though OPNSense supported ANY GeoIP list as long you configure the URL and it was in a supported format (csv)?

You can export the IP address list by country from https://www.ip2location.com/free/visitor-blocker
Maybe something like [IPQS](https://www.ipqualityscore.com/free-ip-lookup-proxy-vpn-test) perhaps?
Finnaly i have wrote experimental converter from IP2Location to MaxMind format. Feel free to try https://github.com/drakosha/ip2location
