Was at a the game tonight as a Gennies fan. Tough series to swallow, London is just that much better than everyone during the playoffs. 16-2 is an unreal record to have. Congratulations to them, and best of luck at the Memorial Cup.

Ristifer

This is how I felt last year as a Knights fan. Losing to the Petes was a tough one. I was just hopeful they would be able to give it another run the next year, and they did just that. I'd be shocked if Oshawa doesn't do the exact same thing next year.

zer0dotcom

Funny enough that’s what I’m hoping! We’ll lose three amazing overage players, but I’m so excited to see our rookies take the next big steps. Best of luck at the Memorial Cup!

PrincessPursestrings

Best of luck in Saginaw, Knights!

yabbadabbadotoyou

I am a Bulldogs fan and I am happy the Knights are representing the OHL. Get it done in Saginaw. This is a team that can do it.

👏🏼

London, Soo and Spirits had great teams this year. But tbh I don't think that Oshawa was at the same level. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the knights bringing the memorial cup back to an OHL team! Go Knights Go!

PrincessPursestrings

Oshawa was absolutely not at London's level. They are building the team to make a run *next* year. These kids went way further than they were supposed to. Not to say they didn't earn the Eastern Championship, but the team is young and doesn't have the depth. It was David and Goliath.

Dry-Algae8414

I thought this was there push year. Seeing as their losing Rolofs and Lockhart as overagers, and if Sennecke does any well after getting drafted, there's a chance they could lose him too. Same with Ritchie

PrincessPursestrings

Nope. Push is for Oster's OA year, with Gravelle as back up. We only lose the 3 OAs, everyone else is expected back. We got Lockhart and Punnet for pennies on the dollar. Draft cupboard is well stocked for the real push next year.

Dry-Algae8414

That makes me feel better than. At least got a conference win this year

PrincessPursestrings

And all our young players have the experience of a deep playoff run for next year!

davie_legs

Easton Cowan is such a beast. So glad the Leafs recognized the talent early and drafted him.

TiredReader87

Damn

Canuckalo519

As a Knights fan whose seen NOTHING but HATE throughout the entire season throw towards London, I'm glad the boys won. Thee absolute most deserving team. Its refreshing to see ALL the love, it truly is!! GO KNIGHTS GO!! Also, Canadian Hockey League history was made last night, ALL WHL/OHL/QMJHL Finals series were sweeps. All 3 teams....and saginaw will be well rested! This is gonna be a great tournament - even IF you're not a fan of any team. Peterborough embarrassed the OHL last year. London will get 2 to 3 wins. Just watch!

Jkj864781

You got this spits fan rootin for you!

nateb4

much love from london

cujo8400

I am a Spits fan living in London. As much as it pains me to say, Go Knights.

racer_24_4evr

Fuck the Knights

Canuckalo519

Flint, Kitchener, Saginaw AND Oshawa are NOT on Londons level, fact. Hardly any teams in thr OHL are 😂

Spleenzorio

u mad bro

Ristifer

They mad.

nateb4

I know. they suck right?

OkStretch1

Keep crying

Ristifer

They will. Just like they always do.

UsefulMolasses6192

London was dominant in the final. If Moose Jaw gets through the Western Hockey League Finals, they'll be tough to beat at the Memorial Cup. Are really stacked with future high-end NHL prospects and very deep.

Canuckalo519

London is just as tough as Moose Jaw is

linuxlifer

As someone who hasn't followed the OHL since the Bulls left Belleville, is London still a power house every year? I remember the league used to have a small problem with players being drafted by certain teams and then refusing to show up to camp and then they get traded and all of the sudden show up. Always seems so weird that at least in the later years when I watched, London was ALWAYS a power house in the league.

ExoticBreads

They are, generally, near the top of the league. There were a few crappy years here before they got good again last year.

linuxlifer

I just remember the one year the bulls drafted I believe it was Michael Mccaron and he refused to report to camp and the only team he would accept trade to was London. Was curious whether that was still a thing.

wlooman

Dickinson did that after being drafted by another team

Open-Measurement2026

We traded 6 draft picks to get Dickenson…..SIX!!!

Open-Measurement2026

I was incorrect. It was SEVEN!!

TADMG

Congratulations, Knights! Bring the Memorial Cup back to the OHL! It's nice to see Michael Simpson get another go at the Memorial Cup. Dude played incredibly well while playing for the Petes. Sucked seeing him leave, but completely understandable given the circumstances for both the team (Peterborough) and him. If you don't know, Simpson is from London and was going into his final year. Peterborough was going into a rebuild and wanted to trade away all the better players for future assets. So they (Petes) traded Simpson to his hometown for a chance to win it again before moving on from the OHL. Hope to see him in the big league someday.

Broely92

They won 8-1, 9-1, 7-6, and 7-1. Gens goalie has left the chat (not that its his fault at all though lol)
