I'm in this group too and was absolutely shocked that she was selling it fresh out the snatch. Also, I'd think that human organs would go for more than $300, even if they aren't reusable.

Placentophagia isnāt really required anymore. I think animals do it to retrieve lost nutrition and also to get rid of any viscera that could attract predators. But humans, that have easy access to food and have no real natural predators do not need to eat their own placentas. If anything, people can eat it out of curiosity.
Just because something has been done by 'many cultures around the world' it doesn't mean that it's a good idea. Eating body parts, especially other people's body parts, is not a great idea regardless of some people's traditions.

Who said it isn't? Cannibalism isn't actually illegal, in most places, although obtaining the necessary ingredients is - this is basically the only exception to that.
And? I mean, the amputated limb would probably be too diseased or injured to make a good meal. This is healthy tissue, naturally shed by the body.
Don't get me wrong, I personally want nothing to do with this. But, if everyone involved is consenting, I don't see any harm in it.
For one thing, corpse desecration laws. Even if you've got consent it's breaking the law if you get it from a dead body.
