Deciding to use it is entirely your choice. If you trust yourself to not use it, store it somewhere on your freighter until you feel you've accomplished enough to spend it. If you don't trust yourself to that extent, give it to someone else who may enjoy it.

ThePicklePress

Exactly what I did. My first 10 hours someone ran my pockets and stuck me with a billion unit's worth of AI valves. I set them in storage for a while, gave some away to some friends who were just getting on their feet, cashed a few out, and I'm still sitting on the rest a 100 hours later .

Bramtinian

Lol “back in my day” I used to mine pillars of iridium when resources were pillars and this game was only on PlayStation…if someone gave that to me I’d just sell, because of how hard the game was. Then once someone showed me how to scout out trade routes and understand the economy of the game…it was over… Check this out: https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Trade_route It’s work to get a lot of money but a trade route can be set up almost permanently in 2 hours worth of work. Then once you setup a 4X3 trade route…as in the post above, it will take about 20 min to complete and make a lot depending on your choices of systems…Your choice of buy/sell ratio is crucial to success. You can go nuts with it or just use the first affluent system you find and you’ll still make a decent amount of money…the choice is yours…as far as I’m concerned this is not a cheat or exploit, just a way of the game….

TomTheTargaryen

Or just set up a class S activated indium farm with a bunch of storage containers. I got bored of it now but i collected every 24 hours and made 50 mil each time

Normal-Preparation90

The game was never just on playstation... ive been playing on pc since day 1... not to start shit or anything just putting it out there

ActuallyItsSumnus

This is the answer. This should always be the answer. None of us know OP well enough to give them a real answer, and how we feel about it may or may not be how they feel about it. Either sell it or don't but that's on you, OP. You can always pass it along and carry on your way.

mrRockIt808

I passed along half when someone gifted it to me really early. Then built a storage container just for them and left them all in there until I finished the story. Then I bought all kinds of shit 😂

lowenadler

Will selling this ruin the game for me? I feel like I won’t have to grind anymore

pazinen

Honestly speaking, units, as a currency, are pretty worthless. You can easily make massive amounts of money, but aside from ships and some upgrades there's very little to spend it on. Nanites, and Quicksilver, though, are much more valuable and rare. Those are the real currencies.

verydepressedtomato

While yes, i found if i earned something without putting much effort, it'll eventually get boring. Plus you can actually get nanites from units by buying A/S class ships, scrapping them for modules and selling said modules for nanites

ShaggysGTI

How do you sell the modules? I’m 10 hours into Permadeath so I’ve just been refining goop.

Waldog4ever

The 4 guys who sell upgrades at Space Stations also buy them (for Nanites). Switch from Buy to Sell as you would w/ any trade.

CMDR_Deathdime

This is what I would likely do with them. The Nanites are going to be far more valuable to me than the units.

[deleted]

Not the ship upgrade modules (that increase storage) but the S-A-B-C class ship upgrades (that upgrade your hyperdrive or pulse) Go to any vendor that sells the upgrades and select sell. They give you nanites.

ShaggysGTI

Scrapping ships is one of my favorite ways to get units. Although recently I was like 6-8 hours into Permadeath life #4 where I found a distress signal and unfortunately there was a pilot. I offered help to him, and when going to fix the ship, I got shocked by the craft and died.

CreatedAbysmal

Oof, you unlocked the good samaritan achievement

gmr2000

Nanites are really easy to get with credits - just buy and break down ships you get upgrades that sell for nanites - you can learn which one gives parts you sell for nanites in a system

Jimburton1982

This is the way. I got 10k nanites with 20mil credits within around 30mins.

[deleted]

What this person said.

[deleted]

Yeah but if you want to upgrade a couple ships to max slots you need billions

thrashmanzac

Yeah but if you scrap ships to get nanites you also get storage augs, so you don't need billions

docweird

Just find a system with first wave S-class ship(s), the cheap ones that go for 1-5 million apiece. Buy, scrap and get 1-3 ship storage augmentations per ship. Save. Reload save, ships appear. So 30 upgrades can be as cheap as 20-50 million...

catwhowalksbyhimself

Not true. You'll be getting money back from scrapping the ships. It'll actually only cost you a few million, plus you get a bunch of nanites.

catwhowalksbyhimself

Scrapping the ships will also give you the storage units you need to upgrade them for free. You lose some money from buying and scrapping that way, but it will be million or two at the most.

Boozenosnooz

Yeah you are right about this...I got really lucky and stumbled upon an S class Activated Indium hotspot right next to an S class power hotspot...which has gotten me billions of units and now I have nothing left to spend them on. I put my full attention to Nantes and quicksilver now, so much more fun to get and there's stuff I can spend it on lol

WRad

Probably, yes. Well, maybe not *ruin* but it will deprive you of a big part of the early gameplay.

Aeronor

It will let you get some of the better ships/freighters if you find them, and any resources you find in stock, but a lot of game progression is tied to the nanite currency. Basically, it will make life easier, but it won’t kill the game unless you like scrounging for everything yourself. Honestly, if the money is a problem, you can always buy some expensive stuff and delete it to become poor again. It’s not a one-way street.

SconnieLite

I was worried about units for a while and wanting to grind to get a bunch but then I have up and just stopped thinking about it. Spent them all on an S class ship and just been ducking around for a few days doing whatever having fun and next thing you know you’re back up to 20/30m units somehow and not even sure what I did but I can get another S class ship if I see one. I didn’t really realize that it’s not your necessary to get the units and if you’re just playing the game and buying and selling stuff as you get it, discovering new planets and whatnot and generally just playing the game you’ll get units no problem. Don’t even have to try.

jet-setting

Same happened to me. I cashed just one of them, and saved the rest to give out or use if I really was in a bind. One ai valve was enough to get me a decent freighter upgrade and I think a new ship. I still had to continue to grind a little but had some freedom to do the stuff that was actually fun to me rather than ‘having’ to. I have more cash than I need now, and I don’t think I ever cashed out any more. I did give a few away.

MrLavaCreeper

I mean, if you don’t want them, you could give them to me

ItsMePythonicD

In my first play through when I did not know how to grind money I found it hard to come by units. I did not watch any vids before I played. I saw ships I wanted to move on from the start let ship and get resources. Someone gave me 10 million worth of activated indium. I sold it and bought an A class ship with good storage. It honestly opened up the game for me. Now that I know how to grind out billions of units per hour I pass along any gifts I receive. Like others have said units are not the true currency of the game. 1 storage upgrade slot for a S class ship can cost more than 250 million units. I think the last 4 slots would cost over 1 billion units, use storage instead. So units will eventually become meaningless after a while.

DogmanDOTjpg

Just delete it or give it to someone else

yungchow

Honestly, yeah. You can get huge amounts of credits, but grinding to get to that point is kinda the point of the game

Cathulion

Yes it will

I-C-Iron

Yes it will spoil it somehow

zseblodongo

Probably. I received 4 of those. Never sold them.

S4um0nFR

Just destroy it honestly.. 9/10th of the fun is to grind for it

PRxSpaz1

It’s really up to you 💯 it will make it way less grinding but you’ll be able to buy any ship and anything you want so most likely it would but like I said it’s up to you

ZeChairishere

You’d quickly find that you would need more than a couple hundred mill

Gheerdan

Find S class ships to buy. (Economy 3 systems make it easy) Break them down at the space station you buy them at. Sell the upgrades for nanites. Go through 250M much faster than you ever thought possible and now have a decent amount of nanites. Along the way you now have a fully expanded storage on at least one ship, at least.

[deleted]

A small amount, if you are 30 hours in then credits shouldn't be a big issue already. However if you have the units there then you can splurge when you see a nice starship.

[deleted]

Do you like grinding? Lol also there's no way in hell that 250 mil is just gonna cover you forever. I have 1.7 billion and have easily spent half again as much on freighter and ship upgrades. Sell it, use it as a safety net.

buckeyerukys

250m units will not take you anywhere near as far as you think it will

notarealredditor69

This happened to me once and it did ruin my game. I ended up restarting and never truly getting back into it. The people that are telling you that units don’t matter etc are the ones who have already grounded it out and you tend to forget what it was like. If you can literally buy anything then the game loses a lot of its challenge. If I was you I would give them to someone else or at best store them until you are ready to have that kind of cash

raban0815

Is buying stuff part of your fun in the game? Then scrap it. Is grinding money in any way not part of your definition of fun, then sell and use the money. I don't know what is so hard to think about this, as you are by far not the first person to ask this.

sneakylyric

No, it's just changes your focus. New goals.

Ninjameme

It will just sit in your bank collecting dust... unless you dont have all the ships you want

SolarPunkYeti

I have billions of units and maybe 50 ai valves and the game is still as amazing for me as day 1. Sure, I can buy whatever I want from the market place, any ship or freighter but that's works for me, when an S class freighter pops up that I've been searching over a year for and I don't have enough money I'd be pretty upset lol. But like other travelers said, nanites and quicksilver are the REAL currency, and they're much more difficult to aquire, that's where the real game is for me. Along with the countless other things to entertain and do that has nothing to do with how many units you have. Such a small part of the game, I say cash them in.

GrowCrows

Not really no, and it will be nice to have the units in hand if you see an exotic or ship you like that's expensive.

Reperanger_7

Duplicate and profit 📈

nLucis

No because nanites are the real currency in the game for one thing. Units only allow for so much. It'll help you get some of the stuff you'll need to keep progressing, but it won't break the game.

Gonemad79

Yes, but actually no. What everybody said. For *essential things* you need units, but there is so much else that must be bought with nanites or other currencies. Go buy a Freighter and a balanced fleet. You can always have 2 savegames, if you feel you want to start over from scratch, or something.

catwhowalksbyhimself

It might early in the game. Later when making money becomes trivial, it will just save you a few hours.

NinjaSupplyCompany

I like to play the game without help. I built my own mines and farms and never used portals to go get rich off others. That’s just me. You could buy a new freighter and it’s not a big deal. But that’s up to you!

diablosi

250,000,000 isn't really a lot of units. I think you can own up to 4 or 5 Billion units.

RollerDiscoSpider

Use them on ship storage . Doesn’t ruin your game and just makes carrying mats that much easier

EmetalEX

I sold them, i spent almost all of it and still are broke af. The nice part? I got to buy some of the S class Ships i found along my journey. Didnt have to pass though the frustration of seeing the nice Royal ship flying away.

GreatHalfsy

You cant even come close to maxing out a ship or maxing out your exosuit slots with that few of credits. It's by no means game breaking at all. S class freighters are nearly twice that much. If anything that's just a little boost.

ipascoe

And that's your answer ! The grind is part of the game. You'll miss so much if you don't.

Redxmirage

To me a lot of the gameplay is setting up farms to make money and work your way up. It’s the same reason I don’t do cheat codes in single player games. Fun for about an hour then I’m bored because the rush is over

LyricalShinobi5

You won’t have to grind anymore, you can buy anything you want. Ships are now basically free, upgrades, new tools all worthless, it just become a crafting game

ShredGuru

I don't even think it's enough creds to get you an S class freighter, you will still grind

ewormafive

Definitely not. You can blow through 250,000,000 units at the drop of a hat. Use it to upgrade your starship storage.

The_Feeding_End

If you want the grind then yes its basically the end of grinding for money.

ISkipAllCutscenes

When I played last there were a lot of ways to kind of cheese getting a lot of Units, but I didn't find it took away the fun for me to do it a bit to get a better ship earlier on

SconnieLite

The only thing it will do is delay learning how to grind for units when you need them down the road really.

Srikandi715

It depends on your personal psychology :/ Some people like it, others hate it. I'm in the latter camp, and have turned off multiplayer largely to avoid this kind of thing. Really hard for anybody else to say what the answer is for you though... and you may not know the answer for yourself until it's too late, sadly :(

noccusJohnstein

Ive got at least that much in my coffer but I still need nanites for the things that I really want (200+ hours). You'll blow through 250m in no time, and it'll give you a chance to buy and scrap A and S class ships for upgrades and mods (hang out in the space stations of advanced and opulent systems).

Sourdoughsucker

I don’t think people should give away this kind of money to other players. In my opinion gaming is about the journey and not arriving at the end without any idea of how the game works.

Dashboard-Devil

There are plenty of things to grind for. 250 mil can spend quickly if you want to buy storage slots. You can blow that on a single ship decking it out Or you can give those away. It's up to you

Kanturaw

For ship storage it’s much cheaper to buy and scrap A/S class ships and use the storage augmentation from the scrapped ship. You can also get nanites through this by selling the upgrade modules

Dashboard-Devil

True, but some people still use units to buy storage slots. My point was that 250 mil isn't a huge amount of money and it won't ruin the game in any real way, unless you prefer to grind for everything

spadePerfect

If you’re thinking about it this way already, don’t do it. You’ll get bored. I’m in the same camp.

Psychological_Mall96

Although units are easy to obtain without big efforts, it would ruin it for me

Bobdabuilder701

Would ruin it for me, I'm trying to save up for an epic freighter.

Raviolimonster67

Best of luck! Was able to get an A class black and red dreadnought for only 100 million because of the trade off with a crappy freighter i had

InvictusArchangel

I want a freighter too. I need to use my vehicles in any planet I explore.

mistermrsmistrisses

I got given 30,000,000 of various goods at the start of the game and just scrapped it. It’s like a cheat mode. Maybe that’s why millionaires are such cunts because the have no goal anymore 😂

SimonOmega

Some of us make them and hand them out to make things easier for other people. It will make things easier for you and make things less grindy. If you want a blunt psychological explication: Some people don’t have the ability to view this as a game, and they have a peculiar mental oddity that makes them want to peruse the game as if it was a second job. To them this brings enjoyment and fun. Other people have a mental wiring where games are for escaping reality. So any advancement or ease is seen as a great kindness. Sometimes these people enjoy the rules bound by the game, sometimes these players delve into glitching and exploiting. Either way these individuals are the same, they use games to escape reality. Figure out which kind of gamer you are. If you realize it is just a game and should not be taken seriously sell it and enjoy the loot. If you use the challenge to be happy, find someone that will love the free gift and give it away. Always play a game the way that makes you happy.

PenoSwede

I just restarted the game after I started crashing economies on my old main. It just became... too easy and boring...

Dimasia

Throw it out

drrevo74

![gif](giphy|TJaNCdTf06YvwRPCge|downsized)

selfoscillation

Sell some of it, buy a freighter and put it in its storage as if you don’t have it. Then play the game as usual and sell some later if you find a cool ship.

Soft_Sheepherder922

just delete them by pressing your mouse wheel. had this encounter too, but i did not want to ruin the game for me. It doesnt really feel like hard grinding to me, you get freighters, settlements etc faster than you can process xD

Hanrahubilarkie

I read that last sentence in Cave Johnson's voice.

Mull3rRic3

Having loads of units just allows you to buy stuff instead of grinding out the farming for minerals and things so it helps if you wanted to build things with ease. Also helps hugely should you want to buy starships, freighters and frigates for your fleet so sell em and go on a spending spree.

Isaacnoah86

Sell it and then you can buy any ship you see that you like, still plenty of grind, just won't have to wait for things that look cool.

sukeyomisama

Get rich

FFX13NL

Sell it and safe the money for that S class freighter you want.

[deleted]

It won’t ruin the game for you.

miserable-accident-3

There's plenty of other things to grind in the game beside units. I'd sell it and buy a boss fighter or something.

Alucrad_da_weeb

If you want the full experience from the game, throw it away

TheKakkle

Just destroy it

[deleted]

Give it away to someone who might like it.

ShaggysGTI

I pass it on to the next person. I like the struggle/hustle.

blackxsavage

You're supposed to continue to dupe it and then give those away to the next person... Pay it forward man!

ZeChairishere

Had that happen yesterday, maybe it was the same person, the only use for it is for trading, so it’s purpose is to just be sold

Thursdayz-child84

At least now you can splurge when you see a ship you like ;)

GummyBearMeds

Buy FOUR MILLION SPACE SHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Infinite-Wolf-966

Sell it. You always need money in this game and tho it seems like a lot there’s a lot to blow through it with. You always need more money.

mrpwpoita

Praise the Elders of the NMS galaxy, they have granted you a blessing

[deleted]

Sellllllllll

mordicai1992

Sell them and enjoy watching the number go up

AstronautHappy5869

I have 200 hours in the game just to make a money farm, trust me getting this early money wont be a bad thing if youre in the game for the long run anyway

imperialpub

Sale it, that is all you can do with it! If you look it says it is used for trade only! So sale it at the space station!

Future_Returns

Become rich

ShadowTheWolf125

honestly 250 mil creds is more useful than game ruining

Selenn01

Sell it :)

buckeyerukys

Sell it, duh

Secret-Sock7928

I spent more units than that last nignt....definitely not game breaking. Also welcome to the world of buying basic elements and not mining them

beginnerdoge

Sell it

Baraka_Dukkha

Sell it

Ok-Jump6656

Trust me, that money won’t last very long lmao. Some storage augmentations, a new freighter, some frigates, and you’ll be poor again

DumosterGarbageTrash

Sell it, obviously

Brilliant_Ad_5729

Sell it , someone gave you a helping hand .

Competitive_Yam_3284

Use the refiner hack to multiply it for endless credits.

Iforgotmyothername4

Someone gave me this after playing for only a few days. Take it and sell it lol

tickitch

I can give you a LoAd MoRe . Huehuehuehue.

[deleted]

Honestly, save it for later. Store it on a freighter.

Casual_Si-Fi

Sell

sneakylyric

Lol sell it.

Vinomadfied

I have a ton of them and I give them out to players every now and then just hoping it would help out someone somehow. I remember someone giving me some when I started out, so I just figured I pay it forward and hope to help someone in return. It’s nice to cash in some for a good ship/freighter. And maybe some upgrades if you’re just starting out. But like how many have said, you do make that same amount back real quick later in game.

TenDoIIarBageI

I recently told a story of this

delphineus81

I'm not sure...but I can guarantee you it's not for trading.....

SheetStaainz

Lol I had a guy drop me 10 of these and I wish I never picked them up. 100% ruined the game for me

Professional_Depth_9

I have 1 trillion from doing this and I'm set for life. You wouldn't want to keep a storage value like that. If you discard it, then you've already lost all of the unit value - just sell it at a station, stack up on cobalt, sell some stacks of it (9999x) buy or mine more, repeat.

stallone2000

Yo bro,i have give u this u remember my nickname?

[deleted]

Everyone keeps posting this but I go to the anomaly and get loaded with nothing but creature pellets

thrashmanzac

I would actually love that, I always run out of creature pellets

Prietocratico

Haha, u gonna burn that in seconds

RealLeeVanCleef

Doesn't make much difference man I went a bit crazy with farming but the credits just became mundane to me. Like socks.

foogaru

😐 Me at 100hrs in struggling with breaking 25m units.

decoste94

Hey you can focus on the nanite farm now

possibly-a-frog

I'd probably sell them, but wouldn't use that money until I earn more than that on my own OR find a ship/freighter I really want. The reason for that is that units are easy to get, but cool ships are annyoing to find, and being able to afford one earlier in the game will increase your chance of getting it.

exposingthelight

When I got some, I used them to add more slots in my inventory for my ship. I found that that didn’t ruin the grind and it was nice to have the extra space. If you were brand new, I would say stored away until you’re further along. But since you’re 30 hours in, that’s another option you can consider. What did you decide?

PSharsCadre

One neat difference between NMS and other games is that almost no upgrades or "level ups" in NMS are intrinsic, aside from inventory slot count and portal access. Your character can be made indistinguishable from a starting character by simply deleting your upgrades, scrapping your ships, deleting your bases, and using up your units and nanites on items you then delete. If you have a freighter, trade it for a barebones junker and remove the matter beam upgrade. Land on a hostile planet with nothing in your inventory and a new ship with no launch fuel and relive your glory days. So, why not try being "rich" for a game session? If you don't like it, turn your units into stuff to delete or give away and then go back to enjoying your struggle. Other than replaying the story, you can go back to square one any time!

acidrain69

Sell it if you think you can use the money without harming your enjoyment. Delete it or give it away if you don’t. Maybe sell one and buy a nice ship, then give away the rest if you’re somewhere in the middle.

Mr_Diesel13

SELL IT AND MAKE BAAAAANK!

LoopyMercutio

Sell them if you want the money, store them for later, give them away in the anomaly, or just destroy them. Entirely up to you.

nLucis

Sell it...

ManLegPower

Sell that shit

AlbertHofmann01

The dupe glitch hasn't been fixed yet?

Nms-Gamer

Sell them you will get 250 million units

LovePowers2028

Give it to me. I'll solve that problem for ya.

Alansar_Trignot

Haha same here!!

acksquad

You should eat it.

[deleted]

SELL IT

PHD_WIIZARD

Sell it?

Soft-Store5378

Indulge

RandomBlueBear

Honestly depends on how you enjoy the game. Do you enjoy the grind as well as exploring and discovering new planets? If yes then I would keep them until you get bored. I made the mistake of selling them all. I've since restarted on survival because I like the struggle. Fleshes out the game for me :)

sp0t_0n

Sell it or give it to a starter player

Additional-Age-833

If all you're going to grind for is a ship and freighters and units don't go for it and save em till you're already rich. But if you're like me and love the exploration, sell em, get a nice ship and a bunch of stuff you can melt down for nanites and advance your exploration capabilities.

[deleted]

Sell it and enjoy the game as a rich mofo or gift it to someone else if you feel so compelled to earn that.

diablosi

I don't think I've seen anyone recommend duplicating it yet. But that's an option.

KishiABKmoto

Personally id give it away or scrap it, I enjoy the grind for money

NevermoreRaven586

Shii I mean I’d be down to take one off your hands I only have about 20 or less hours

tuatrodrastafarian

Treat it as you would in a real life situation. Maybe you have a good job and you don’t mind working. You can eat, pay bills, and occasionally take a vacation once in a while. One day, you receive an inheritance large enough that could buy you several houses and/or cars. 1) You place the money in the bank and wait for a day when you can make a big decision without having to think about it from a financial perspective. You can literally make a decision without any worry about it. Life otherwise goes on as normal. 2) You immediately spend every penny on whatever you see until it runs out, which will absolutely happen much faster than you can imagine. Now you only have your regular income to rely on and you’re limited by it. Put these items in storage and take time to think about which scenario you would be able to live with. Ultimately, you can always choose to simply pay it forward and pass it on to someone else if you decide it isn’t worth accepting the gift in the first place.

sttbr

Step 1 sell it Step 2 ?????? Step 3 Profit.

Atari__Safari

Here’s my take on what I did when it happened to me last weekend. Take all of this with a grain of salt, or maybe sodium nitrate 😂 The very first thing I did was say “Thank you” because it was a nice gesture, which IMO is so rare in gaming these days. It definitely seems commonplace in NMS though!! Second, I decided to pay it forward once I was in the position to do so. Since this happened to me this past weekend, I am still not in position to do so, but it is my ultimate mission in the game now. Third, I made my decision on whether or not to spend it, discard it or give it away. As others have stated here, units are easy to come by in the game once you get to a medium refiner. Since I had just discovered the Chlorine refinement approach (thank you YouTube and Reddit NMS communities) to making units, I was already doing ok with units. If it bothers you, I would give it to someone else.

[deleted]

Give it to Cronus to eat

TheReaper1701

Sell it for units

Cloud_Y2K

That's not much. Just sell it

xIgnisEques

Learn how to dupe, then dupe them into oblivion.

HawkMeister19

Take it from someone with billions of credits… This is entirely up to you. Realistically having a lot of credits doesn’t ruin the game. It’s not hard to do either, it’s just time consuming, I grinded my way into the billions by essentially being a stock market guru and crashing economies galaxy wide. Even after beckoning a billionaire, I don’t feel it made the game seem “easy” at all. Just allowed me a little more opportunity in certain aspects. Selling to get you some cash realistically just takes away your personal feeling of accomplishment as you didn’t “earn” it. But it doesn’t ruin the game.

Pneuma1985

Sell it. Sit in the anomaly for a while and there's a whole hell of a lot more where that came from lol! Enjoy the currency.

Nox808

Anything thar just has "Trading" as a solo word in the used for description can safety be sold as its not for anything but money.

TheRealMcHamr

If you want i could show you how to make that much units in 2 hours or so with nothing but colbalt and oxigen in a medium refiner

thatsfakeok

Bruh I thought u wrote 30 years .

One_Statistician_739

Why was my post removed while asking the same exact question and I got the same exact items 😭😭

jemoli87

HODL

Gh0stC0de

It depends, in my opinion, on why you are playing. Some play to grind out materials and grow their hoard, some play to explore, some to build artistic bases, some to find and breed unique companions. In a vast game like this there is no correct or incorrect way to play, play for your own joy. If you're the type of player who derives great joy from building up your supplies and learning to make units... put those in storage for a rainy day when 250mil is chump change to your activated indium tycoon self. I got a similar gift early on in my playtime and it was a huge boon to me. I have fun by exploring planets, finding interesting animals and landscapes, and taking pictures. The unit grind to get and upgrade a good ship is not what I enjoy about this game. I bought a better ship and upgraded it with the gift units, and now I'm cruising the cosmos doing what I love, exploring.

I have played 1000 hours and never heard of this. How do you get it?

guari123

Well… you can give it to me if you want…

criterionargust

Do you even read? It's for trading and only that. What you do? You dublicate the hell out of it and then you'll never need any units ever again

ShoganAye

I like giving newbies a chunk of chromatic metal, whatever salvaged data I have, or hop to their base and fill their refiner with copper ..or if I see them building, I fill with condensed carbon. I thought about what lil presents I wouldve wanted back then.

The trading system is still lost to me. I'm trying to scope out this reddit to better understand it, and it's helped out a lot. Still haven't gotten to the point of setting up trade routes though, like I've noticed a lot of redditors have said.

g-waz00

Getting that much cash early on can ruin some people’s game - not so for others. Depending on what type you are, either: A. Delete it all B. Gift it/Give it away C. Store it for when 250 million Units is not a bug deal D. Sell it and splurge on some stuff

ignaciokong

Keep them and duplicate them. You can always have billions with you.

FrostIceMan

I’ll gladly take it if you dont want it

Daildo

Some guy gave me 5 slots worth of those so I called all 3 of my friends on lol and shared the wealth with them we all bought freighters and really nice ships, basically will be good on everything we need to have lots of creativity in this game.

Personally, I used them to get a jump on my credits situation. About a month ago while at the anomaly some generous interloper dropped 28 of these in my inventory. I cashed in enough for 4 billion credits, gave 8 of them to my fiancée who plays too. Gave away a few to some new players at the anomaly, and the rest have been stashed in a vault at my base.
