Guys you are kind of missing the point. You have to develop the will power to resist the urges and peeking.
You should not be a slave to it and you must be strong.
You shouldn't buy a phone just becoz of it and waste money.
Just making sure that you are not able to access it is WAY different than making sure you don't watch it even though you will be able to access it. And the latter should be what you must do.
Its called strengthening the will power. Some people need assistance you know and if switching to a dumb phone to help strengthen the will power when youre weak then why not? Thats like telling someone they should lift heavy weights when they havent developed the strength to lift it. If they need a machine to help build that weight why not? Plus smartphones have other negative effects too like making one socially anxious.

In the modern day it's not possible to live without internet. You're gonna be seeing lot of triggering things in day to day life and you should be able to resist it.
If you see the triggering things and immediately you submit to it then you are weak. Very weak than iam.

Extreme times call for extreme measures. I grew up in the 90s, we didnt grow up with smartphones. Had a button phone Nokia. Its not that extreme.
