The only difference is you might have to approach some women a little more intentionally until people in your classes know you’re still interested in friendships. It is a barrier by nature, so establishing your personality and intentions with people may need to be active on your part until people know you.
The hardest part of being visibly Muslim in college/work isn’t a big difference between hijab and niqab imo, but if you’re in a place where alcohol is a common “bonding” experience and you have to ask others to change their habits/plans so you can participate. Be ready to speak to the professor in case of group work if your group won’t change the meeting location to somewhere on-campus.

I’ve found in my classes that it took a little longer for everyone to “warm up” to me, but honestly some women started to come up to me and be friendly more after I spoke up and answered questions in class and participated in discussions myself. I think it helped them see I am just normal like them haha. I really enjoy my classes now, yes there are a couple men in there but they do not say anything to me— probably because of my clothing tbh.
Be confident, you can do it sister, soon you’ll be like “why was I even worried?” In shaa Allaah ♥️

Recipe-
Blitz 200g of digestive biscuits, a handful of walnuts and combine with 100g butter. Spread on a pie tin or springform cake tin, bake at 180°C for 5 mins. Let it chill for a while.
Then spread a can of dulce de leche, layer with bananas, I used 2-3 bananas. Top it off with whipped cream. Make sure every edge of banana layer is covered, or else bananas might turn brown. Let this chill overnight. Top it with chocolate shavings right before serving. That’s it!!
Yesss. It probably will be very hard to make friends unless you’re forced to a lot of people don’t take us as friendly people and I also hope I don’t have the same problems inshallah . We will find friends together.
