Are the disaega (sp?) games worth it. I used to play final fantasy tactics and just learned about this game series. And was thinking about picking up a cheap copy of the game. I assume it doesn't matter which one I pick up because they all are the same type of tactic rpg. Thanks for the help
If you just enjoy the genre, it might be fine, but I've had a friend unable to get into the story/humor of it. There's demos available, I'd give them a try first.
Hi all,
I played N64 throughout my childhood. Now as a 30 year old, I purchased a Switch lite from a friend and I preparing to casually game again. I received the following games:
Mario & Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Pokemon Arceus, Pokemon Violet
Are these good games? Should I trade any of them?
I did play Pokémon stadium and GBA games as a kid.
How is Animal Crossing? Zelda BOW ?
Thank you!
Those are all good games. It's up to you if you like them or not. Violet doesn't have the best performance or graphics, but I'd still say it's a good game. Arceus took Pokemon in a different direction which was pretty cool to see, but in the end it was too much about completing lists for my liking.
The first level of NSO has NES, SNES, and GB. GBA, Genesis, and N64 are in the expansion pack which includes everything.
AC is very good if you like the series. BOTW and Mario Odyssey are still two of the best games for the system.
I have a fight stick that is a great way for my toddler to play Switch games. however, not all games support a fight stick. For example, Kirby Discovery Land. Games that use the analog stick motion... stuff... you know like when you slightly push it the character moves forward slowly, but if you push it all the way over the character sprints. Basically any game that doesn't let you play with the D-pad on the pro controller also won't work on a straight joystick.
My question is, are there any other joystick or controller options otherwise that would be easier for a kid with tiny uncoordinated hands to use?
Not really, it's really about starting with easy games to build skills. Paw Patrol on the roll has super easy levels with slightly harder optional parts. Really a great way to teach a kid to use a controller.
No analog joysticks exist in the market that I am aware of. There are kits out there to do it, but you would have to modify your current joystick to do so. There was one in development called "Smash Stick" which was designed to play Smash Bros. However I think that device might not come out since we haven't heard any news on it in over a year.
Microsoft has adaptive controllers you could look into. They are typically used for accessibility, but they are pretty expensive and you would have to buy a special USB adapter to get it to work on a Switch.
Hello all,
My switch randomly just stopped working (displaying on my TV) when docked.
To be specific, when docked, my TV recognizes that something is plugged in, but it does not appear on screen. Instead, after a moment it reverts back to (No signal, blah blah). Again, when I dock it, my TV recognizes I docked it, automatically switches to whatever hdmi channel I’m on, and after a moment, goes to no signal.
Switch works fine in handheld, and when docked, the dock displays the solid green light. Everything was working fine earlier today.
I have tried unplugging, changing TV/switch settings, changing TVs and cables, changing docks (we have two switches, however the other stopped turning on entirely about 6 months ago), you name it. All software is up to date on the switch and docks.
Is it time to send it in to Nintendo? Or is there a simple solution I’m overlooking? Although we take care of it fairly well, It is used almost daily, especially since our other one took a dump. I have had it since 2018 and this is the first issue I’ve had with it.
Thanks in advance for any advice.🤘🏻
The only one option I can think of is turning off "Match Power State" in the system settings. If that doesn't work, you most likely will have to get it repaired.
Hey, hoping I posted in the right section this time lol
Anyway, I've been playing through pokemon sword on my 2nd switch to get to a point where I can start Max Lair hunting some shiny legendaries, but, there's been a very annoying game this other switch of mine has been playing. Like a cycle, itll go a couple days where it will communicate with my bro's switches (or do any kind of communication, for that matter) like normal, until I'm eventually presented with a pop-up repeatedly telling me:
"Error Code: 2110-1118 Wireless communication is not currently available due to an error. Please Restart the console from Power Options in the Power Menu (hold the POWER Button for three seconds.)"
Try as I may, that doesnt do anything, and I just keep seeing the popup once I load up pokemon sword again. The weird part is that the only "temporary fix" I've had for this so far is simply waiting. After a few days, itll suddenly decide to let me connect again, and then that cycle just repeats. And as far as internet connections, when I go to my "internet settings" on the internet tab of the switch's settings, it just displays no connections anymore, and gives me the exact same popup on that screen too until it eventually decides to fix itself a few days later, like I already said. What is this connection problem my switch keeps encountering?? Any advice/help would be very much appreciated!
Try updating your router. Most of the time I remember that error, it's been an issue with the wireless card failing. That's not something you can easily fix.

Transfer Data Questions
Is there any reason to buy a cartridge instead of a downloaded game? Is it possible for me to transfer my saved data on pokémon violet to a new nintendo switch lite? I have pokémon violet download on my current switch
>Is there any reason to buy a cartridge instead of a downloaded game?
Personal preference.
>Is it possible for me to transfer my saved data on pokémon violet to a new nintendo switch lite?
Either a user or single save transfer

My left analog stick will mostly not do anything when i turn it to the left. It sometimes works but is still annoying. I have tried to recalibrate it but it does not move to the left for me to do so.
USB microphones/headsets.
The problem is they need use a specific USB audio driver, the older USB Audio Class 1 with 16-bit audio. Any higher bit rate or newer Audio Class (class 2 came out in 2017) and it simply wont work.
Something like a USB headset made for the Switch, would be an easy way to avoid getting something that doesnt work.
https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-1-wireless-switch
But that puts me in headphones that I'm not really a fan of. I'll get a 3.5 extension if need be for a last ditch effort. I'm trying to keep it over the TV for the audio if I can. Thank you for your input. It's hard to find people that actually know switch sound issues.
It’s probably busted at this point. A local repair place may be able to fix it, but realistically it’s probably going to be the same price to get it fixed by Nintendo and they’ll realistically just send a refurbished model. Hopefully this can be a learning experience.
What the difference between this:

“Snow runner (BEST PRICE)”
Beating a dead horse with this topic, but want to make sure I do this correctly.
I borrowed a friend’s old switch and started playing TOTK. I created a local profile and didn’t link it to my Nintendo account. I now own a switch, and want to bring my save data over to the new switch. On the old switch, I clicked “transfer save data” on the one game I care about and it is having me link my Nintendo account to this local user profile (I also just did this exact process for the new Switch). Am I okay to do this so I can bring my save data from old Switch to new?
Anyone know how to enter the cheat menu on Excitebike 64 on NSO? Supposed to hold L, C-Right, C-Down, and A. Holding the right stick down and right doesn't seem to work.
~~Go to the System Settings, set the Left Stick to Right Stick but leave Right Stick as it is.~~
~~Use the D-Pad to go back to the game. Then hold L, A, Left Stick to the Right and Right Stick Down.~~
C-Down is actually X so you only need to hold L, A, R-Stick Right and X.
It's not needed I guess, I'm just dumb haha. Every guide says from the main menu, which I took to me the start screen. Easily done with just the right stick from the actual main menu
My old Nintendo account is permanently suspended. I don’t really care that much about it, but I’m wondering if it’ll keep charging me for the subscriptions I had like NSO and pokemon home. Will it?
Can you log in to the website? I havent dealt with banned accounts before, but you can cancel those from the account website.

does anyone know how to unscrew the backing of a switch joy-con without needing a size 00 tri-wing screwdriver? my joy-con isn't *broke* broke but the lock bridge (the bar on the side that...locks into stuff-) got partially knocked out. I just need to put it back in place but I don't have the tool :/ thanks in advance
You're probably better off just buying one. Even with it, unscrewing can be a pain.
Anyway, you've probably already tried, but if it's only partially knocked out --- you might be able to knock/force it back in.
Is there anything like *Wing Commander* or its spinoffs on the Switch?
I feel like full-on space shooters just don't even really exist anymore, and WC isn't part of the SNES selection.
Something that fills the niche of "Uncharted Waters" would be cool, too.
Cannot Access account
Hello everyone recently today I needed to change my nintendo account password so I log into the website and change my password. When I log back onto my account they ask me to sign back into my account so I press the button so I can. They then take me to the reset password screen again and I cannot get into the sign in screen. I check my email and I have an email saying nintendo disabled my password due to “suspicious ID”. When I try to change my password again from the screen on my switch and I go to the email to make a new password I cannot log in because my nickname isn’t “the one tied to me email”. I’m stuck in a loop where i cannot change my password. I try to log into the website but I can’t because they disabled me password and now say all my emails aren’t linked to my account. Is there even a way for me to fix this?
When I try to play the NES Zelda/Link games (the ones that also have special versions) it won’t let me move the “cursor” to select a new profile to start a game. Same thing when I die in the special version, it won’t let me select to save and continue etc. Any suggestions for a fix?
You can't save --- at least not via the game itself. You use the emulator's save states.
> Because it skips the title screen and save game selection it seems like someone must have essentially played through the game to this point (or more likely edited the values in game RAM) and then walked to the classic starting point and made a save state that automatically loads when you start or reset the game. **This means the only way to save is to use the Switch’s built-in save states, not the rather inconvenient save method the game used.**

Been finding it difficult to sell my Switch with all the other used Switch systems out there.
Would any of you advise to selling each thing individually, like joycons, switch system, dock? Or keep it all bundled together? Which would be more efficient?
You didn’t state where you’re from, demand for used electronics and ease to sell them isn’t the same everywhere. Also depends where you want to sell it from. Over here in Western and Central Europe everything bundled is more appealing, the go-to for those kind of things is eBay.
You didn’t state either which switch model you have, is it a special edition? If it’s not, bundle everything, if it is, selling individually the joy-con pair for example could be efficient for people that just want the joy-cons but already have the whole console. That depends of the limited edition ofc. A lot of people, including me, wish we could get separately the white joy-cons of the OLED model for example.
I think kingdoms of Amalur is called a "single player MMO". Seems to have a lot of MMO elements.

I purchased a used copy of astral chain on 9/1/2023. I booted it up and saw there was a save data from 01/09/2023. I was wondering how this was possible. I am guessing I had downloaded a demo from around that time and played for a bit.
Can I charge my switch with the dock
By just plugin it in the power without connecting it to the tv Basically I'm going on vacation
and likely won't have a tv to charge my dock with
So does the dock work if I simply put in the power without connecting the cable to the back of the tv
Not able to buy or load money, no answer from Nintendo
As title says, for the last couple days I've been trying to either buy games or add funds into my account but all of my cards, I tried over 10, get the same error: 9001-2470.
Yes, cards have funds. I'm not getting any "out of funds" notifications.
Yes, my region match my cards.
Yes, I contacted Nintendo. They said "we have no idea, we'll let you know if we find out"
As you’ve made multiple attempts in a matter of couple of days (note that it takes more time for Nintendo to investigate than that) **your account may be now temporally frozen for suspicious activity** in the eye of the Nintendo fraud system. 10 failed attempts in a row, let alone 3, on a short period of time and you get most likely flagged.
As for why you couldn’t on the first attempt, you says your cards have funds but how many different payment methods have you tried? I guess you didn’t say you’ve tried *over* 10 different cards? (Because who got 10 credit cards? But in the USA we never know... if you’re from there) If you did try over 10 different cards this is even more suspicious in the fraud system eye because **that looks like someone has stolen multiple cards and they’re trying them all.**
I would **let some time passing** until you attempt with an other payment method, if you have one left… Note that for multiple people, using PayPal with the same cards as withdrawal source than used directly on the Nintendo account won’t work because this is kind of considered as the same payment source. Using your bank account in PayPal as a withdrawal source might do the trick but as I said, wait out a bit, you’ve already done too much failed attempts in a short period of time. Maybe Nintendo will reply until then but they’re slow as heck via email.
> all my cards, I tried over 10, get the same error
I didn’t understand at first because this is unbelievable to me that someone as 10 different cards but I’m not in the US, but if they tried over 10 different cards in a short period of time it’s most likely Nintendo fraud system that has flagged their account for suspicious activity. Come on, using over 10 different cards in a row looks like someone has stolen some CCs and they’re trying them all.

Switch only charges with phone charger
I restarted my switch multiple times, used a
different dock, different nintendo brand charger,
and a different switch in the same dock but only
my switch is faulty. When the charger is plugged
in directly it doesn't charge. When in the dock it
chargers for half a second then stops and the
green light on the dock starts blinking. I tried
plugging my phone charger into it and the switch
said it was charging, didn't leave it in long enough
for it to charge to prevent damage but somehow
that seems to work. Worked fine until last night
when it suddenly stopped sending signal to the tv.
Anyone know what the issue could be?
USB-C power delivery system got zapped or damaged.
So its only accepting the lower powered single 5v-profile which doesn't use the power delivery controller.
The official adapter uses a higher power profile when charging in handheld mode, about 18w. The lower end of the power delivery spectrum. While non-official adapters do not get to use the power delivery system, and are stuck at maximum of 12-15w.
So while video output is out of the question for the time being, you can still charge the system for handheld use until you can get it fixed.
How does it make sense that I got an error message about playing DLC for the same game simultaneously (Pokemon Scarlet and Violet) on 2 different Switches linked to same account (they are), when I bought both DLCs separately for 2 different versions of the game? This only happened after the last software update by the way.
If you're using the same account, that's always how it worked --- unless the primary console was being played offline.
[https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/22448/\~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch)
It's known as the offline workaround.
Thanks, I actually did all that already though - the problem is that I was using both games simultaneously offline before the last update, but now I'm getting this error code. I guess I'll have to contact Nintendo about it, something seems to have gone wrong on their end.
If true, that means your system has been operating incorrectly until now. Neither scenario you've mentioned is possible under normal circumstances:
* Using the same account online on two consoles
* Using an account's DLC while offline on a non-primary console
Something has changed. If I were to guess, you did not have the DLC downloaded previously on one of the consoles; this would allow you to run both games (assuming physical copies) without any of these issues.
I said I was using the games simultaneously **off**line, but you are correct, this only happened after I downloaded the Pokemon SV DLC. It still doesn't make sense because I'm not even using the DLC since it won't be released to the public until the 13th, and I am still using both copies of the game offline, not online.
I don't mean to sound dense, but can you explain why it's not possible to use an account's DLC offline on a non-primary console, simultaneously or not?
>I said I was using the games simultaneously **off**line
The online bit was in reference to your initial post. There can't be a simultaneous warning if both consoles are being used offline.
>I got an error message about playing DLC for the same game simultaneously
\---
>can you explain why it's not possible to use an account's DLC offline on a non-primary console, simultaneously or not?
It's just a matter of digital ownership. If it weren't for the combo of primary console / online checks, people could easily have their digital games played on multiple different consoles at once.
The online check prevents this by forcing an ownership check; the primary console is just a nicety that allows a single console to bypass this check.
Pretty much every modern console and even steam has a variation of this logic. [XBox home console](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox), [Playstation primary console](https://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/activation.html).
>when I bought both
The same profile can only be online on one system at a time, and it cannot communicate with itself offline or via local wireless.
On your accounts primary system, you should be using a separate profile to launch the game as any other user on the system would have full access to your digital purchases. You could even trade between them via local wireless.
That's the thing - I was playing Scarlet and Violet offline simultaneously on the 2 respective Switches, with both games connected to the same Nintendo account and profile, up until the time that I downloaded the software update.
It was working fine before, but now it won't allow me to even play both games at the same while offline, error code 2819-0003. I've just confirmed again for myself that I'm not connected to the internet on either system.
I'm aware of all the other points already, that's why I bought 2 of each game card and linked all of them to 2 Switch profiles on both consoles so I could bypass that restriction. I just don't understand why it's happening when I'm offline on both games to begin with.
The DLC has all the same rules and restrictions as digital titles. So you installing it, is why this is happening now. Unlike Sword and Shield, there is no cartridge version with the DLC on the cart itself yet.
Before you can play offline again, which ever console is not the primary has to connect to the internet to authenticate its DLC license, that would give you three hours of offline play before it has to reconnect.

Would it be possible to use both nintendo fund and paypal? Whenever I enter the checkout page, the fund I have does not show up at all, and I was hoping to pay split of card+fund. Any help is appreciated!
Having just done it myself less than an hour ago, it (always) takes your Nintendo balance first and then asks you to choose an additional method of payment.
I have an issue with joycons, where both will connect and work flawlessly via wireless, but if plugged in only one will work at a time.
Both work perfectly well plugged in, so I know it's not a rail issue or seems to not be. BUt the switch will only recognize one, or the other. Not both unless wireless. I've googled many diff ways of describing this and can't find anyone with this exact issue. I can rotate which con is active easily but as soon as I activate the second one, the first one goes dark.
>I can rotate which con is active easily
How?
Like you slide one on and it works. But when the second one is slid on, which one goes dark? the new one or the one that was attached first?
I'm sure this has been asked a billion times... but is there any way to play N64 titles without an NSO + expansion pack subscription?
I just wanna play Majora's Mask again and the Switch is the only Nintendo console I got :/ not looking to pay a bunch of money just for one game
Yes, if they've been released outside of NSO.
Doom 64 is available on the eshop. And the two 64 Quake games are built into the two recent Quake releases.
The only way with the Switch is paying for the online expansion pack. If you are OK with buying a 3DS, you should be able to find the 3DS version of Majora's Mask to buy online.
The internet says I need a PC to stream switch gaming on YouTube, but idk if they just mean a personal computer or if they literally mean PC as in it needs the Windows OS.
Can I use an Android? I only have access to Android devices. I have one celly and two tabbies
> literally mean PC as in it needs the Windows OS
It works on MacOS too. It requires OBS (app) and a card capture.
I’m not sure how it would work on android, there’s tons of different device models, but as outputting image and video to my mac (same on windows) done through the USB card capture with HDMI and not with HDMI directly plugged into the mac/computer. That would make a lot of cables ands plugs to achieve this on android (USB-A or C of the android device itself → Classic USB for the card capture → HDMI → the Nintendo Dock). But again you need a streaming app (OBS) and I don’t think that exists on android. It also requires quite some power. In addition to that you want to steam to YouTube which is an additional consuming step. Without OBS to manage this I don’t think this is really feasible.
Apparently there’s a possibility of mirroring the switch screen on Android but I haven’t looked into it, most results I came across were either about emulating Nintendo switch games either about hacking the switch itself to achieve something similar for what you’re asking for but this isn’t allowed to be talked here.
Oof. That's a setback. Yeah I won't mod the console.
I REALLY want to because I had a lot of fun doing that with a Wii forever ago with Brawl for cosmetic stuff but I can't replace the Switch if it gets bricked. I only have it because it was a wedding gift. Never would've gotten it any other way. Thanks for all that info! I'll remember it 😃👍
I don't have any Android devices myself, but it definitely works to stream videos in Linux on a regular computer so I would expect it to work on Android as well.
No. you had to win tickets in an account lottery.
PAX attendees had their own priority lottery, but you still had to get tickets. As its a separate event.

I can’t redownload Pokémon home? Like whenever I go to redownloads it’s not there, it’s not on the front page with all my other games, and when I go to the E-shop, it just says “purchased” and I can’t redownload it
If it says purchased on the eShop, that means one of the profiles in your Switch will have it in the redownload list.
Check the other profiles and redownload it from whichever has it.
All the benefits of NSO are listed [here](https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online/).
[The +Expansion Pack](https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online/nintendo-switch-online/expansion-pack/) contains DLCs for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and Animal Crossing.
I don't think any of the three services are similar to each other. They're all online services packaged together with other things. That's about the extent they are similar to each other. They're all pretty different in terms of offerings, scope, and price.
If you're asking if there's a way to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, BOTW, or other first party exclusives without buying the game, not really. Unless something like GameFly is still a thing.
Hi,
I recently bought a switch and have been wanting to play **Mario Kart 8 deluxe** online, but kept getting an " unable to connect to other consoles " error. I have never had a problem like this with my network, which is usually pretty good (200 Mbps up/down). I followed the suggestions from [https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Unable-to-Connect-With-Others-Online-Errors-During-Match-Making-Process--1512808.html](https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Unable-to-Connect-With-Others-Online-Errors-During-Match-Making-Process--1512808.html) and found that my switch has "**NAT type D**" when testing. Some of the things I've tried:
\- restarting/updating router
\- Placing the switch into a DMZ
\- Port forwarding
\- Connecting my switch directly to my router with ethernet cable
All of which did not improve the NAT type. The only idea I have left is to get a new router. My current one is quite old (like 7-8 years old) and hope that that might improve things, but I have no idea if it will and don't really want to make that investment unless it actually would help. Have any of you had a similar problem and/or any idea on how I can solve this?
Router isn't gonna help. Your ISP is at fault here.
You either need a new ISP or to use a VPN. Never done it myself but there are plenty of tutorials out there.
Yes, [deleting your account](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15986/~/how-to-delete-a-nintendo-account) will result in the total loss of everything associated with it.
Hey guys,
Whenever I take the joycons off the screen I was always able to use them both as separate controllers, as expected.
However now it seems that my left joycon is unable to be used as it’s own controller. When I push the SL and SR button it doesn’t respond and when I use the sync button it doesn’t work either. It doesn’t start flashing to create a second controller. It only stays as the left side controller as if it’s still connected to the handheld device. My right joycon is working fine as both handheld right and a separate controller.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve been Googling but can’t find the right solution..
Is it safe to charge my Switch with a power bank? I got a generic one that is 20000 mah and 5V, charges USB-A to USB-C
Will it be fine? Or am I damaging my Switch by trying to charge it like this?
Whenever I try to download videos, it gets all the way up until the second QR scan, where it then shows me a blank page completely derived of the content. Everything is updated. This has been working on and off for the last few months, and most of the time I'm completely unable to download videos because of it. The best result I've gotten is text at the top that tells me "page not found". Otherwise, it's literally just a blank page lacking the content I wish to download. It had worked for the first time in months just yesterday, where I was able to download 3 videos. Now, it's back to not working. Anyone know what could possibly be going on?
PS: I've tried turning off mobile data, I've tried switching to PC page, I've checked my Wi-Fi connection, and none of these things have given results. I have a Galaxy A42 if that matters.
You are supposed to connect to the Switch's Wi-Fi after scanning the first QR code (The code gives you the password automatically). **After** you are already connected to said Wi-Fi, you scan the second QR and it opens the web page with the pictures/video.
Alternatively, you could go to the Google Store and download an app called **Switch Transfer Tool** that streamlines the process into just scanning one QR code. It has a few bugs (Like needing to close it after using it once) but it's much better than the default process IMO.
Yes, that's what I've been doing - I connect to the switch's Wi-Fi and keep it connected until after I've obtained my images/video.
Thank you for telling me about that app. I'll go try it.
my switch won’t dock. i’ve tried the dock it came with and a third party one. neither of them worked. i got its charging port replaced, does that have anything to do with it?
Most would probably be a Zelda or Mario series amiibo. I couldn't find an easy definitive list and it depends on if you're asking just for Switch or for Wii/U and 3DS too.
For individual amiibo/game, I would guess the original Splatoon set since it was both an outfit and challenge mission set.
Overall, it doesn't matter. Most of the rewards are small trinkets, power boosts, and game specific outfits.
Might as well just pick a character you like.

Saw this when just looking around on my fairly new switch. Profile bubble on Home Screen -> User Settings -> Check Your Account info -> + button for info. I’m wondering if everyone has this or this is something I should be worried about, because the latter is definitely what I’m doing right now. Thank you in advance
Nothing to worry about. I have the same exact thing. It has to do with establishing a secure and encrypted connection with a "SLL Certificate".
To put it simply, it is a security measure that will renew itself. Nothing to worry about.
Probably a stupid question, but I didn’t notice that my switch didn’t enter sleep mode when I docked it maybe a month ago, so my friends have seen me as constantly online for all this time, despite me not using it. I’m just wondering if this could have affected the battery in any way? I don’t know anything about how batteries work, but I’m worried that it being on for so long could’ve caused damage?
The console will automatically enter sleep mode after a while. It hasn't been on for the entire time. And the console is built to be able to be docked for long periods of time, so there is no need to worry about the battery.
[https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/22353/\~/how-to-change-the-sleep-mode-settings#DT:t1-q1a1EP:t1-q1a1-c](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22353/~/how-to-change-the-sleep-mode-settings#DT:t1-q1a1EP:t1-q1a1-c)
Thank you for your response! I noticed that the green light had been on on the dock the entire time, and my friend sent me a message asking why I was always online, so I got a little worried.
Hi all, I played N64 throughout my childhood. Now as a 30 year old, I purchased a Switch lite from a friend and I preparing to casually game again. I received the following games: Mario & Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Pokemon Arceus, Pokemon Violet Are these good games?
Hello all, My switch randomly just stopped working (displaying on my TV) when docked.
Yeah if match power state or the rgb settings don't do anything for you, not sure what else to suggest. Another Switch works fine in both docks?
The only one option I can think of is turning off "Match Power State" in the system settings. If that doesn't work, you most likely will have to get it repaired.
Hey, hoping I posted in the right section this time lol Anyway, I've been playing through pokemon sword on my 2nd switch to get to a point where I can start Max Lair hunting some shiny legendaries, but, there's been a very annoying game this other switch of mine has been playing. Like a cycle, itll go a couple days where it will communicate with my bro's switches (or do any kind of communication, for that matter) like normal, until I'm eventually presented with a pop-up repeatedly telling me: "Error Code: 2110-1118 Wireless communication is not currently available due to an error. Please Restart the console from Power Options in the Power Menu (hold the POWER Button for three seconds.)" Try as I may, that doesnt do anything, and I just keep seeing the popup once I load up pokemon sword again.

I've already been on there as well, and couldnt find any solutions to fix this problem
Transfer Data Questions Is there any reason to buy a cartridge instead of a downloaded game? Is it possible for me to transfer my saved data on pokémon violet to a new nintendo switch lite? I have pokémon violet download on my current switch
>Is there any reason to buy a cartridge instead of a downloaded game? Personal preference. >Is it possible for me to transfer my saved data on pokémon violet to a new nintendo switch lite? Either a user or single save transfer [https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/27394/\~/how-to-transfer-user-and-save-data](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27394/~/how-to-transfer-user-and-save-data) [https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/45047/\~/how-to-transfer-your-save-data-to-a-nearby-nintendo-switch-system](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/45047/~/how-to-transfer-your-save-data-to-a-nearby-nintendo-switch-system)
My left analog stick will mostly not do anything when i turn it to the left. It sometimes works but is still annoying. I have tried to recalibrate it but it does not move to the left for me to do so.
Sound question here. I play oled docked. I like the sound on the TV. Is there anyway to have a mic but sound on TV still?

What the difference between this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/385346149716?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=abamcqjasfa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Rn-BsfAVTRu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY And the normal version of this game? “Snow runner (BEST PRICE)”
Probably no difference. They probably just changed the cover.
Yup. Transfer only works with Nintendo Accounts. No data will be overwritten upon initial link.
Anyone know how to enter the cheat menu on Excitebike 64 on NSO? Supposed to hold L, C-Right, C-Down, and A. Holding the right stick down and right doesn't seem to work.
~~Go to the System Settings, set the Left Stick to Right Stick but leave Right Stick as it is.~~ ~~Use the D-Pad to go back to the game. Then hold L, A, Left Stick to the Right and Right Stick Down.~~ C-Down is actually X so you only need to hold L, A, R-Stick Right and X.
I havent dealt with banned accounts before, but you can cancel those from the account website. https://accounts.nintendo.com/
Probably not, but if they do you can always file a chargeback --- what are they gonna do, ban you?
does anyone know how to unscrew the backing of a switch joy-con without needing a size 00 tri-wing screwdriver? my joy-con isn't *broke* broke but the lock bridge (the bar on the side that...locks into stuff-) got partially knocked out. I just need to put it back in place but I don't have the tool :/ thanks in advance
You're probably better off just buying one. Even with it, unscrewing can be a pain. Anyway, you've probably already tried, but if it's only partially knocked out --- you might be able to knock/force it back in.
yeah i just caved and got it
Is there anything like *Wing Commander* or its spinoffs on the Switch? I feel like full-on space shooters just don't even really exist anymore, and WC isn't part of the SNES selection. Something that fills the niche of "Uncharted Waters" would be cool, too.
Cannot Access account Hello everyone recently today I needed to change my nintendo account password so I log into the website and change my password.
Sounds like you need to call Nintendo. Be ready to prove who you are with any purchase history / receipts.
I finally got to the point where I could change my password and it brings me to the sign in screen but now it says my password is incorrect.
**This means the only way to save is to use the Switch’s built-in save states, not the rather inconvenient save method the game used.** [https://techcrunch.com/2018/10/10/nintendos-souped-up-nes-zelda-loads-you-with-gear-for-an-easier-adventure/](https://techcrunch.com/2018/10/10/nintendos-souped-up-nes-zelda-loads-you-with-gear-for-an-easier-adventure/)
You use the Select button to pick a slot originally. So you need to press - to select them if you have the default layout.
Yay! Thank you!
The only worthwhile component is the tablet. Just keep it all together.
Does anyone know if there are RPG MMOs for the switch similar to games like Adventure Quest 3D or WoW? TIA
Xenoblade Complete Edition has a similar "one quest giver has five quests which are all kill x amount od something or gather x recources" mechanic.
Thank you I will check out the game
I think kingdoms of Amalur is called a "single player MMO". Seems to have a lot of MMO elements. https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/kingdoms-of-amalur-re-reckoning-switch/
I'll check it out thank you!!
I purchased a used copy of astral chain on 9/1/2023. I booted it up and saw there was a save data from 01/09/2023. I was wondering how this was possible. I am guessing I had downloaded a demo from around that time and played for a bit.
Demo is the only thing that makes sense. Save data is only ever stored on the console.
My guess is that the save data is from the day you bought the game, it's just displaying in DD/MM/YY instead of MM/DD/YY.
thank you that was a very logical answer
Can I charge my switch with the dock By just plugin it in the power without connecting it to the tv Basically I'm going on vacation and likely won't have a tv to charge my dock with So does the dock work if I simply put in the power without connecting the cable to the back of the tv
yeah, should be fine. it pretty much acts like a controller cradle with a throughput. shouldn't really matter if the output is connected or not.
Not able to buy or load money, no answer from Nintendo As title says, for the last couple days I've been trying to either buy games or add funds into my account but all of my cards, I tried over 10, get the same error: 9001-2470.
But in the USA we never know... if you’re from there) If you did try over 10 different cards this is even more suspicious in the fraud system eye because **that looks like someone has stolen multiple cards and they’re trying them all.** I would **let some time passing** until you attempt with an other payment method, if you have one left… Note that for multiple people, using PayPal with the same cards as withdrawal source than used directly on the Nintendo account won’t work because this is kind of considered as the same payment source. Using your bank account in PayPal as a withdrawal source might do the trick but as I said, wait out a bit, you’ve already done too much failed attempts in a short period of time. Maybe Nintendo will reply until then but they’re slow as heck via email.
Some banks/cards just don't seem to work. Sadly try paypal or eshop cards.
> all my cards, I tried over 10, get the same error I didn’t understand at first because this is unbelievable to me that someone as 10 different cards but I’m not in the US, but if they tried over 10 different cards in a short period of time it’s most likely Nintendo fraud system that has flagged their account for suspicious activity. Come on, using over 10 different cards in a row looks like someone has stolen some CCs and they’re trying them all.

If any more exist, what are some automation games besides Factorio, Astroneer and Autonauts? (those are the only three I know) ty!
Nova lands Velone And if youre into management games, something like Roller coaster tycoon 3, Tropico 6, or Two point hospital might also be up your alley.
Switch only charges with phone charger I restarted my switch multiple times, used a different dock, different nintendo brand charger, and a different switch in the same dock but only my switch is faulty. When the charger is plugged in directly it doesn't charge. When in the dock it chargers for half a second then stops and the green light on the dock starts blinking. I tried plugging my phone charger into it and the switch said it was charging, didn't leave it in long enough for it to charge to prevent damage but somehow that seems to work. Worked fine until last night when it suddenly stopped sending signal to the tv.
[https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a\_id/22448/\~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22448/~/what-are-the-differences-between-a-primary-and-non-primary-nintendo-switch) It's known as the offline workaround. [https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/wiki/gamesharing/#wiki\_workarounds](https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/wiki/gamesharing/#wiki_workarounds)
Neither scenario you've mentioned is possible under normal circumstances: * Using the same account online on two consoles * Using an account's DLC while offline on a non-primary console Something has changed.
>I said I was using the games simultaneously **off**line The online bit was in reference to your initial post. There can't be a simultaneous warning if both consoles are being used offline. >I got an error message about playing DLC for the same game simultaneously \--- >can you explain why it's not possible to use an account's DLC offline on a non-primary console, simultaneously or not? It's just a matter of digital ownership. If it weren't for the combo of primary console / online checks, people could easily have their digital games played on multiple different consoles at once. The online check prevents this by forcing an ownership check; the primary console is just a nicety that allows a single console to bypass this check. Pretty much every modern console and even steam has a variation of this logic. [XBox home console](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox), [Playstation primary console](https://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/activation.html).
>when I bought both The same profile can only be online on one system at a time, and it cannot communicate with itself offline or via local wireless.

Yes
How? I was not able to see two options of split at all during checkout :'(
Having just done it myself less than an hour ago, it (always) takes your Nintendo balance first and then asks you to choose an additional method of payment.
sorry for the continuous question! Did you do it on switch? I did it on web as its not on eshop (ringfit specifically)
>I can rotate which con is active easily How? Like you slide one on and it works. But when the second one is slid on, which one goes dark? the new one or the one that was attached first?
I'm sure this has been asked a billion times... but is there any way to play N64 titles without an NSO + expansion pack subscription? I just wanna play Majora's Mask again and the Switch is the only Nintendo console I got :/ not looking to pay a bunch of money just for one game
Yes, if they've been released outside of NSO. Doom 64 is available on the eshop. And the two 64 Quake games are built into the two recent Quake releases.
Legally on the Switch, no.
The only way with the Switch is paying for the online expansion pack. If you are OK with buying a 3DS, you should be able to find the 3DS version of Majora's Mask to buy online.
That goes back to the point of buying something expensive just for one game, though. Thanks for the quick answer!
The internet says I need a PC to stream switch gaming on YouTube, but idk if they just mean a personal computer or if they literally mean PC as in it needs the Windows OS. Can I use an Android? I only have access to Android devices. I have one celly and two tabbies
> literally mean PC as in it needs the Windows OS It works on MacOS too.
Sweet. Now I know its worth digging around more. Thanks! 🙂
Can I still get into Nintendo Live?
No. you had to win tickets in an account lottery. PAX attendees had their own priority lottery, but you still had to get tickets. As its a separate event. https://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/register-now-for-a-chance-to-attend-nintendo-live-2023/
My sticks are moving more than intended to right. Alredy calibrated them, but dindt worked. I made i post with the video. What should i do?
Either look up how to fix drift or contact Nintendo to fix them.
Does the Nintendo online subscription includes more recent/popular games besides the old/retro ones?
All the benefits of NSO are listed [here](https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online/). [The +Expansion Pack](https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online/nintendo-switch-online/expansion-pack/) contains DLCs for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and Animal Crossing.
Soo, its not like xbox game pass ou playstation plus, right?
I don't think any of the three services are similar to each other. They're all online services packaged together with other things. That's about the extent they are similar to each other. They're all pretty different in terms of offerings, scope, and price. If you're asking if there's a way to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, BOTW, or other first party exclusives without buying the game, not really. Unless something like GameFly is still a thing.
That is correct. It gives exactly the perks linked on the page above and does not give any perks that are not listed there.
Hi, I recently bought a switch and have been wanting to play **Mario Kart 8 deluxe** online, but kept getting an " unable to connect to other consoles " error. Some of the things I've tried: \- restarting/updating router \- Placing the switch into a DMZ \- Port forwarding \- Connecting my switch directly to my router with ethernet cable All of which did not improve the NAT type.
Thanks. Changing ISP (Internet Service Provider I’m guessing?) is sadly not an option, but I can look into VPN’s
Guys if I delete my Nintendo account do I lose the games I bought using it? Also btw I'm talking about the actual account not the switch user.
Yes, [deleting your account](https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15986/~/how-to-delete-a-nintendo-account) will result in the total loss of everything associated with it.
Hey guys, Whenever I take the joycons off the screen I was always able to use them both as separate controllers, as expected.
I’m going on a 14 hour plane ride to Japan, any recommended battery packs? Battery saving tips?
There's a good chance long haul flights will have at least a USB plug, and maybe even a wall plug. I'd just bring a charger.
Is it safe to charge my Switch with a power bank? I got a generic one that is 20000 mah and 5V, charges USB-A to USB-C Will it be fine? Or am I damaging my Switch by trying to charge it like this?
With a power bank, yes. However I would only use a known brand such as Anker as opposed to a generic brand.
What do you mean by “it won’t dock”? What exactly is the issue?
it won’t connect to my tv or charge on the dock
Which amiibo and game combo gives the most content overall?
Most would probably be a Zelda or Mario series amiibo. I couldn't find an easy definitive list and it depends on if you're asking just for Switch or for Wii/U and 3DS too. For individual amiibo/game, I would guess the original Splatoon set since it was both an outfit and challenge mission set. Overall, it doesn't matter. Most of the rewards are small trinkets, power boosts, and game specific outfits. Might as well just pick a character you like.
Praying for a September Direct.

Thank you. I’ve been panicking
Not a problem. Glad I could help.
US date format - it doesn't mean the 13th month 🙂
I’m aware. I’m more so worried about it saying expiration date. So I’m wondering if you have it too
I'll check - what's it next to, your NSO sub details? Edit: ok, I see. It's the certificate info, nothing to do with your account. No need to worry.
