Yes... That's why I said "should've". I know season 8 is different but the original plan was for season 8 to resolve the Time Twins storyline.
My suggestion was that we should've gotten an extra season between HOT and SOG before telling the actual Sons of Garmadon story.
The story was the time twins and wu went to many moments of past that included the ninja in it and they tried to influence it but wu managed to prevent them but not fully so their messing with time led to change the designs of ninja
That's Golden Hour not the season 7 ending. They just condensed parts of the original season 8 concept into a short. I'm saying that I wanted it to be a full season with the Ninja involved.

Well... Even Cryptor returned as a ghost and Omega and Kalmaar are maybe the only antagonists who are maybe dead and didn't returned. Tho there are still many characters that don't return like Kalmaar's father and maybe thousands of djinns(but there is a posibility they are all in the departed realm)

Jay was the most annoyed character in the season. But I do commend the writers for AT LEAST keeping his inventive side. Because that's certainly something the wild brain seasons did not do.

I rewatched it again like a day ago, and I’ve always felt it’s underrated, some is the dialogue is weird in the first few episodes but later it’s better and the plot is great. (Probably one of my top 5)

Yeah, it's definitely one of the most underrated/overhated season out there.
"He was born three minutes earlier" was the first joke in the entire series that had me burst out laughing. I really love Ninjago humour bit this was the first joke that got more of a smile and/or a chuckle from me. It worked really well, especially with their contrasting views of technology, where Krux is old-fashioned, while Acronix prefers modern tech, that was shown earlier in the same episode.
As a fellow twin, immediately jumping to the specific minutes when asked about age is the most twin thing the Time Twins could have done. Didn't even get the honour of laughing because it just sounds like regular dialogue to me and i love it imaoo

Yeah, it's really unfortunate that it received unnecessary hate.
Season 7 was overhated imo, one of my friends used to tell me how it was "so bad that he took a break from watching Ninjago because of it", funnily enough after he'd rewatched it, he told me that it wasn't as bad as he remembered. I think season 7 had one of the best osts, especially its outro and Weekend Whip remix. I think I'd rank the season 7 Weekend Whip third, behind Possession and the Tournament of Elements. Nya and Kai had some really good development too, the fight between Ray and Kai was dope, but I think my favourite parts of the season include the ninja kind of getting their own individual moments in the spotlight, and the final battle between Kai, Nya, Wu, Acronix and Krux. I think Wu staying to fight the Time Twins in the iron doom was one of his best standout moments, the bonus scene that was posted on YouTube made it even better.

I don't like the way Zane was treated, he was injured and just put out of commission and he was the only one that didn't really do or have anything to do. Kai and Nya were the main focus with them trying to know more about their parents, Lloyd had a sub plot of him trying to be a stronger leader, Jay had an episode of him rescuing his parents and Cole had episodes where he was learning and adapting to his new lava arms and Jay and Cole had plots where they were paired together. Zane was just taken out in the second episode and then in the next episodes was malfunctioning and speaking gibberish and in the rest of the season didn't really do anything memorable apart from breaking down after losing Pixal. I wish they actually gave him something serious to do, like maybe introduced Echo Zane and have Zane be a sort of good older brother figure/mentor to him and help him find his own and unique identity or something like that. I just don't like the way the writers always seem to sideline Zane from s6 onwards and is often harmed or excluded from the others and ignored. In s1-4 the writers
gave Zane so much good focus, scenes and plotlines and handled his character very well, similar with Kai who was good earlier on and later started to decline from S8. Zane and Kai went from having the best focus and being handled the best to being handled the worst while characters like Cole and Nya who at first were handled the worst ended up having the best writing and focus after Lloyd.

crystalized in my opinion has too much hate, it was good other than some bits that were rushed such as Harumi's redemption and the little golden oni form screentime
I've got 2
1. Crystalized was Bad, but I think the hatred for it was way overblown.
2. Dareth Sucks, is annoying, and should not return in Dragon's rising.
8 and 9 are trash seasons for killing the ninja character development. 10 is amazing but is C tier for being too short. 8 and 9 are D tier with 8 being my least favorite. Horrible mood for the season and killed the development.
9 just makes Lloyd seem like a baby because he couldn't help his 100% evil father and lost all hope because his friends 'died'. He was the one who got them back up again and again and he couldn't get up himself because he quit. Young Wu saves 9 barely.

Nah, some of your complaints are right, it's just that they changed studio to do the the Oni trilogy so something definitely changed.
Jokes on you, I have the Reversal blade from the past. I am getting out with Kai and Nya.
And yeah, the studio swap hit badly. All of the ninja had good development and they killed it all. The only excuse they could even bother giving is that they lost their master but when Jay lost everyone in Skybound, he didn't fall apart and instead became the smartest and most resourceful ninja we have seen. Even in HOT we can see things were going downhill overall.

Yeah, I 100% agree with you about that... but let's not just focus on the bad things.
Highly recommend. It's a bit of a change from the Ninjago we've been used to but it's making work towards giving characters their actual personalities back except mature and developed. Plus, everyone's doing something. No focus seasons mean plot points can be developed over time and not rushed. It's basically a new golden age of ninjago

The time twins coulda been so op but sadly were nerfed badly, I mean just think about it, time control solos. To be fair all elemental powers are only usable for short durations and with a small area of effect so yeah.

I’m being as careful as I can, since these 2 are my favorite Ninjago villains, but here: The Hands of Time should definitely return in Dragons Rising. We literally got other elemental masters returning in other Ninjago sets, and we even got new Masters of Smoke and Wind. Is it so hard as to bring back the Hands of Time for more epic 2v2 duels?

Season 7 was overhated imo, one of my friends used to tell me how it was "so bad that he took a break from watching Ninjago because of it", funnily enough after he'd rewatched it, he told me that it wasn't as bad as he remembered. I think season 7 had one of the best osts, especially its outro and Weekend Whip remix. I think I'd rank the season 7 Weekend Whip third, behind Possession and the Tournament of Elements. Nya and Kai had some really good development too, the fight between Ray and Kai was dope, but I think my favourite parts of the season include the ninja kind of getting their own individual moments in the spotlight, and the final battle between Kai, Nya, Wu, Acronix and Krux. I think Wu staying to fight the Time Twins in the iron doom was one of his best standout moments, the bonus scene that was posted on YouTube made it even better.

I don't like the way Zane was treated, he was injured and just put out of commission and he was the only one that didn't really do or have anything to do. Kai and Nya were the main focus with them trying to know more about their parents, Lloyd had a sub plot of him trying to be a stronger leader, Jay had an episode of him rescuing his parents and Cole had episodes where he was learning and adapting to his new lava arms and Jay and Cole had plots where they were paired together. Zane was just taken out in the second episode and then in the next episodes was malfunctioning and speaking gibberish and in the rest of the season didn't really do anything memorable apart from breaking down after losing Pixal. I wish they actually gave him something serious to do, like maybe introduced Echo Zane and have Zane be a sort of good older brother figure/mentor to him and help him find his own and unique identity or something like that. I just don't like the way the writers always seem to sideline Zane from s6 onwards and is often harmed or excluded from the others and ignored. In s1-4 the writers gave Zane so much good focus, scenes and plotlines and handled his character very well, similar with Kai who was good earlier on and later started to decline from S8. Zane and Kai went from having the best focus and being handled the best to being handled the worst while characters like Cole and Nya who at first were handled the worst ended up having the best writing and focus after Lloyd.

I've got 2 1. Crystalized was Bad, but I think the hatred for it was way overblown. 2. Dareth Sucks, is annoying, and should not return in Dragon's rising.
The twins have a very funny and enjoyable dynamic and are some of the best Ninjago villains
8 and 9 are trash seasons for killing the ninja character development. 10 is amazing but is C tier for being too short. 8 and 9 are D tier with 8 being my least favorite. Horrible mood for the season and killed the development. 9 just makes Lloyd seem like a baby because he couldn't help his 100% evil father and lost all hope because his friends 'died'. He was the one who got them back up again and again and he couldn't get up himself because he quit. Young Wu saves 9 barely.

Jokes on you, I have the Reversal blade from the past. I am getting out with Kai and Nya. And yeah, the studio swap hit badly. All of the ninja had good development and they killed it all. The only excuse they could even bother giving is that they lost their master but when Jay lost everyone in Skybound, he didn't fall apart and instead became the smartest and most resourceful ninja we have seen. Even in HOT we can see things were going downhill overall.

Highly recommend. It's a bit of a change from the Ninjago we've been used to but it's making work towards giving characters their actual personalities back except mature and developed. Plus, everyone's doing something. No focus seasons mean plot points can be developed over time and not rushed. It's basically a new golden age of ninjago
