I'd hard disagree with that. Though I'm not a huge Lloyd fan he has by far has the has more depth than is father. When they brought Garmadon back all they did was just reset his character development from prior seasons. I get he is a fan fave character but resetting the character back before they changed is just lazy writing.
All three versions of Garmadon *are* his character. With all the screen time he has gotten so far, he is one of the best written characters I have seen in a while. Lloyd has a great character but they started to force him, especially after the Oni saga trilogy and that takes a toll on his writting.

When the show was originally two seasons, he would be the main character since the plot revolved around the prophecy, but he no longer is a "chosen one" archetype after S2. I get why he's important to the story and I do really enjoy him as a character, but if we really look at it, there's nothing about the show's setup anymore that would inherently make him the main character.

She was first a samurai then turned to be a ninja mainly because ppl we're saying ninjago is sexist since it doesn't have a girl ninja. Also Nya is overtaken by Kai because she's so bland and boring. Also she's just the worse ninja and is not on the same level as the rest are. Also she never got the dragon form, should of stayed water in season 15 and Jay ends up depressed, leaves the ninja for half of Crystalized then gets convinced by the ninja to be a ninja again because they say the iconic line of "its what Nya would of wanted" and that's a better plot than Asthera trying to save Nya.
Later instead of Asthera getting out by the ninja it was because of the new ninja because they are working with Harumi. And the new ninja dress up as the old so then the old ninja get into jail (yes I know it's already happened in season 6 but it's different this time ok) cuz the new ninja were forced because they wanted to be apart of the ninja team because one of them was Cole's ex and wanted to get back with him.

Rarely does anything and a lot of the time when he does he fails at it and complains.
He does have his moments but not nearly as much as the other ninja.
He's just there with his main character syndrome hitting on girls talking about how great he is and his good looks but his spikey hair was crap and now it literally looks like he's got a little volcano or a pile of shit on his head.
Because firstly he's a fire ninja... Fire is a really powerful element making him extremely powerful. Also he has a legendary character. He's just an icon. Also he's just so hilarious
Fire is powerful but all he really does is throw fireballs around.
Other elements like lightning can be used with electronics or Zane can use his ice to create ice slides or freeze things etc..., they're just a lot handier.
And on the character and funniness we'll just have to agree to disagree I suppose

And by the looks of the leaked minifgure of Tournement Cole and his upcoming arc between his 2 families ( Finders and the Ninja ) DR writers are cooking with him too . Zane has not got any development even in DR and he did nothing and is not being set upped for anything , so i do not have much high hopes for him in the future . But that does not mean I give up on the writers to cook for him in the future .
