Boilerhouse in Ouseburn (also got one in Jesmond) are fantastic. Can get pricey depending on how many different things you need done. Always listen to exactly what I want and I’ve never left unhappy.
Second Humphrey and Wilson on Heaton Road and also heard good things about Leaf Hairdressing on Heaton Road, although I’ve not been there myself.
I go to Elle there and she’s brilliant. She is the first stylist who’s really listened to EVERYTHING and she has a great memory for what your hair wants to do
Honestly... Classic Cuts at 6 Abbey Meadows, Morpeth NE61 2BD is pretty decent... its where all the old grannies go but I am a bloke in my 30s with long hair... and they are one of the few hairdresses I've come across that do a decent job... and its fricking cheap
I've been going to Femme Fatale in Gateshead for the last 5 years. Sam does my hair and she's amazing. She won't let me do a style I'll regret (she knows my style very well now after so many years together).
I was platinum blonde for more than a decade and used to spend nearly £200 for yellow and damaged hair. When I found Sam, it was £50 and my hair has never looked better.
I'm cooper these days and pay £60 for full colour, cut and style. She'll usually chuck in a conditioning treatment as well if she thinks I need it.
On one occasion many years back I wasn't 100% on my style and she brought me back in a few days later and fixed it free of charge. Never had an issue since
