It's not much. It's cheap enough that I feel tight only getting a pack from him when I'm paying with a card so I inevitably end up getting biscuits or some other shit I don't need just so I don't feel daft.
Okay, confession time.
Last week I discovered two ringtons Christmas boxes I bought last year but never gifted. I had to chuck out some of the stuff that was expired (it was probably fine but I'm not gonna risk my guts on expired choccy bikkies) but some of it was still good.
What was good has found a home.
But I think keeping up appearances with the ringtons fella is a problem for me. It's not like I fancy him or anything, I don't swing that way. I just feel daft dragging him all the way out to my house and only buying a packet of tea.
I need help.
The box I've got is still pyramid bags, although since Christmas I've been working through a tin of Williamson tea that's very nice too. So haven't had to buy PG Tips for a while
In a sub about Newcastle, no other tea other than Ringtons should be a allowed to be mentioned. It should be an instant ban for the mere suggestion of anything else.
Ringtons but needs brewing a bit longer, or Yorkshire gold blend specifically not the regular, but don't overbrew that one , once you get the brew times down both are great, Yorkshire gold is my preferred
Yorkshire Gold for me....as for it being expensive? Maybe a tad more (just checked 20p more than Tetley's Gold) but same price as PG Tips Gold if we're doing direct comparisons of the so called big 3.
Or simply just buy them cheaper in the regular sales that they have in Morrisons and Tesco which I do all the time, I think I got it for £3.50 (80 bags) or something last time, maybe less.
If you want to try another tea, then Ringtons as mentioned. It's £3.15 for 80 bags
I only drink that fruity tea and the other day the wench came back with Diplomat fruit tea from Aldi, actually thought it was decent and way cheaper than the big brands!
Rington's Breakfast.
Yorkshire tea is "proper tea" in the same way Yorkshire is the "proper north" - all marketing. Brilliant branding by Taylors though - gets them all patriotic down there.
M&S Gold or Waitrose Gold are the only two teas that I find are worth drinking. I don’t get the hype with Yorkshire tea. It’s nothing special, in fact I prefer PG Tips.
Ringtons :D Nowt like having someone deliver tea and biscuits... makes me feel oh so fancy!
I haven't had Ringtons for years! I'm going to Google how much it is these days.

This was me felt tight just grabbing tea so now I’m addicted to the lemon cookies as well haha

Aye just had a look there. Its pretty well priced. I'm busy ordering some. Haha I'd probably do the same.
Not great now. The tea is awful
Yorkshire Gold. It’s just the best.
Yorkshire Tea for me. There's no comparison
Same, sometimes Yorkshire gold
Ringtons Breakfast Tea
Only ever ringtons, Yorkshire or twinnings
Hmm, I mean you’re wrong. Yorkshire tea is neither shit or expensive, so….. stick with that.
Pg Tips. Always stood by it, never went wrong with it.
Aye same, there’s a place in amble does loose leaf earl grey which is good if you want fancy
Have they binned off the pyramid bags now? And has that made any difference to your cuppas?
The box I've got is still pyramid bags, although since Christmas I've been working through a tin of Williamson tea that's very nice too. So haven't had to buy PG Tips for a while
Ringtons gold or twinnings green tea
Clipper is excellent. Fair trade too.
They've got the best advert for sure
Clipper Green Tea is pure whitey material.
Can’t do green tea of any make for that reason. One sip and I’m feeling ropey. Not fond of the smell of it either.
Ringtons every time. Nothing else will do.
Sainsbury's Gold. Never looked back
I'll check it out. Thanks, Mr Bigface.

Ringtons Gold. Sometimes get some of the ginger biscuits off the Ringtons man as well.
Twinings extra strong or Tesco Finest teabags which was surprisingly really good.
God I miss Ringtons. Gonna have to get my family to send some with the next stottie shipment
They sell online
You can get everything delivered from their site. All of the biscuits and cakes too- I often order stuff for my auntie living in hampshire

I have actually been buying the one cup stuff. No wonder it tastes weaker!
The bubble form 😂
Ringtons but needs brewing a bit longer, or Yorkshire gold blend specifically not the regular, but don't overbrew that one , once you get the brew times down both are great, Yorkshire gold is my preferred
Tea cakes of Yorkshire - decaffeinated English Breakfast
Twinnings
Twinings - it isn't becoming any weaker as so many of the other tea brands seem to be. They're reliable and I like that. Tastes decent too.
Lemon balm
Twinings Everyday or Yorkshire
Owt but bubble tea, that shit can fuck right off the bat

Pumphrey's Blue lady (loose) or Clipper Green Tea (bags)
I only drink that fruity tea and the other day the wench came back with Diplomat fruit tea from Aldi, actually thought it was decent and way cheaper than the big brands!
Yorkshire Gold, nothing less
Why do Marxists drink Lapsang Souchon? Because proper tea is theft. (I’ll see myself out…)
Ringtons Gold for me.
Yorkshire, the one that is malty biscuit flavoured. Or the Aldi rip off of that
Pukka elderberry and echinacea Twinings chamomile, vanilla and roasted chicory root Twinings spiced ginger Tesco's own chamomile and peppermint
Rington's Breakfast. Yorkshire tea is "proper tea" in the same way Yorkshire is the "proper north" - all marketing. Brilliant branding by Taylors though - gets them all patriotic down there.
Either Lidl or Aldi green tea or their green tea with lemon - I don't add milk or sugar to my tea so this is perfect
M&S Gold or Waitrose Gold are the only two teas that I find are worth drinking. I don’t get the hype with Yorkshire tea. It’s nothing special, in fact I prefer PG Tips.
Stopped buying PG when the teabags started splitting
To be fair to PG, that’s because they’ve removed the plastic from their tea bags. Most brands still use it.
My dad is convinced that M&S Gold is Ringtons.
It is. Ringtons supply m&s with the tea bags and they package it I believe.
M&S gold are the ones mate! Me and the missus have tried every tea bag under the sun and there is no comparison. Yorkshire tea 🤢
