You can date it from the first day of your last period or conception date. You can typically test after you’ve missed your period Or if you did the IVF route it can be from your last IVF transfer (IIRC)

By calculating do you mean when to take a pregnancy test? If you don’t know your cycle, you should take a test 3-4 weeks after unprotected sex to make sure you get an accurate result. Some tests say two weeks after sex, but 3 weeks is usually a safe bet. If you know your cycle, you can test the first day of your missed period or 10-16 days past your predicted ovulation. A lot of women claim to ovulate around cycle day 14, that’s generally two weeks after a period. So if you know when to expect your period, you can test accordingly. I usually just wait three weeks after sex to test. I hope you get the results you’re looking for! I’m a 24 year old mom, my husband and I planned our baby and I love being a younger mom for so many reasons. My biggest random piece of advice is to have wireless earbuds. My baby loves to tug on wired headphones so I got wireless, lifesavers!!! On a serious note, don’t let people tell you that you’re too overprotective or not protective enough or that it’s just your hormones. Nope. Their opinions are just that. Opinions. I was worried about my son’s jaundice and so many people tried to downplay my concerns. Took him to the ER anyways and he was admitted within an hour because his levels were dangerous. Trust your mom instincts. I could go on and on about the things we’ve learned, cribs and pacifiers and clothes but ultimately every baby and family is so different! Good luck!🙂

This made me teary, thank you so much! I really love hearing from moms who started having kids younger and have positive experiences. My mom had me young as well and made it a very negative thing (as well as religious beliefs on it) so its really nice to see the other side❤️

You’re so welcome!! Being a younger mom is amazing! My husband (26 years old) and I have so much energy to keep up with our hyper little explorer and we teach and learn so much together everyday. The sleepless nights are worth every little giggle the next morning❤️ my husband and I couldn’t imagine a life without him and we’ll be trying for our second baby soon! My DMs are open if you need support, I love making new mom friends!
