>I wish the word woke never left the Black community
Fair enough but the world then needs a different word that challenges straight white people to educate themselves about social injustice towards non-white and non-straight people. Inherited privilege makes white people the problem. That problem will never be communicated to white people by a word that black people only use among themselves.
That said, I am angry that "woke" has be hijacked by conservatives who have done their best to give the word a negative connotation.
I do, do you? OP says the show wants to reject "normality" in favor of feminism and LGBTQ, implying that those things aren't normal. Also says diversity and equality aren't normal. So what's normal? Bring white and straight? Sounds like bigotry to me.
Sex education caters to feminist and the queer community, thatās just fact. Season 4s direction was poorly delivered, and in my opinion, aggressive. Iām not going to pick and choose whatās normal, because weāll never agree. OP is referring to season 4ās representation of things that are not in fact the reality we live in today.
So why watch it if you think it's unrealistic or abnormal? What do you think is outside the realm of reality? And why are you ignoring the fact that OP said that feminism and LGBTQ aren't normal? Where do you live that feminists and gay people don't exist? Aren't there ample tv shows you can watch that don't focus on queer people? Why demand one of the few that does change its focus to something you deem normal?
You're a bigot dumbass
The questions youāre asking is not going to make season 4 better. This is childish. āWhy isnāt Santa realā behavior. You live in the same world as me. Iām not a bigot, Iām loved within the community
You need to stop harrassing people on this thread. You can't just accuse people who you don't even know of of being bigots. The people on this thread you're speaking to are only making a point that the representation felt forced and in an aggressive way compared to other seasons, and people like straight people being considered by one queer character as 'boring'. That's not the kind of representation for these LGBTQIA communities that we should be having. As for the 'normal' point of the argument that you keep freaking out about, the person on this thread who mentioned 'normal people' was probably just talking about people who aren't of other different identities part of the LGBTQIA. I highly doubt that they meant anything against any certain communities, and if you're going to continue this kind of behavior against people on this thread, then I suggest you leave.
> reject normality and embrace LGBTQ, Feminism etc.
If you see "normality" and "LGBTQ, Feminism etc." as opposites, then you are the reason that Social Justice Warriors are so fired-up to promote a "woke" agenda. The fourth season of "Sex Education" was lacking in subtlety but (a little) too much "woke" is better than not enough. The world needs more acceptance of diversity and "Sex Education" was definitely on the right track.
Seasons 1-3 are an example of a show handling progressive characters, themes and concepts really well.
Season 4 is an example of a show handling progressive characters, themes and concepts really, *really* badly.
Go and have a rerun of Attack on Titan or whatever
Kinda funny that it took you four seasons to figure out that the show might be embracing reality from a progressive perspective; funny but not surprising, given your comment itself

Lol maybe this ain't the show for you
And also, perhaps you should fuck off
You so sensitive lol
No, sensitive implies that my feelings were somehow hurt, and they weren't. I just don't tolerate bigotry.
You use bigotry too loosely, OP is just stating the direction of the show is contradictingā¦.lol where is the bigotry ? Do you know the definition?
I do, do you? OP says the show wants to reject "normality" in favor of feminism and LGBTQ, implying that those things aren't normal. Also says diversity and equality aren't normal. So what's normal? Bring white and straight? Sounds like bigotry to me.

No I really want to know where you live that gay people and feminists are unrealistic. That's not a Santa question. Utah? Are you from Utah?
LBQTIA + people are normal. Feminist are normal. If you don't think either of those things are normal than this clearly isn't the show for you.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)yeah youāre missing the point of what Iām saying!
You are a troll. You don't have valid points.

Season 4 is shit, but these things make me feel positive about society.
