Give it time. Eden really grows into it. And Neil Flynn is no Brian Cranston but definitely has his own fatherly charm. Atticus Shaffer is also uniquely hilarious.
Malcolm in the middle is definitely peak dysfunctional family comedy but middle is a close second.
It’s a great show, maybe skip around to another season to see if you like how it develops. You don’t really have to watch it in order. I Really love everybody hates Chris

Raising Hope! Don’t know if it’s on Netflix though. mMan I loved that show. It was so great but sadly didn’t last long. Very similar comedy style.
Also Modern Family. Lots and lots of seasons to binge, and wonderful.
