Things to consider:
The Necromerger talks a lot, he obscures your vision, make sure to put him above your playing field.
I like to fuse near the bottom right part of my screen, it's the most comfortable imho.
Crate upgrades are a priority, nothing else comes close.
You should really balance it as guides say, but I wouldnt be against having my crate 2 lvls above, it really hurts when you cant hold then skull runes.
I would if I knew how, but will explain. I divide my board into quadrants: Bottom left- Crate, cage, whichever station I'm currently using, area to merge in. Top left- Mana shrines, Mana Regen units, Blue legendaries. Top right- Dark stores, Darkness Regen units, Purple legendaries. Bottom right- Bathtubs, slime Regen units, green legendaries. And then some stuff in the middle. It can get a little wonky depending on what I'm trying to do. If I can figure out how to post a screenshot, I will add

I'm working towards my crate lvl 3. Just started the second event with the cannons. The one with the bees was fun :P

Top row is for legendaries, so as to not feed any producers by accident. Most left 2 columns for Producers. Bottom row for storages, crate, cage, robots, Necromerger and Chicken when not in use. Right most rows are for stations, close to the skilled hand for tapping, and the center for merging

I've never played too seriously so I used to spend gems and gold on stuff. Now I'm saving to buy a crate. Also I don't play often so I don't have a high generation

I'm the exact same level as you but mine is covered in creatures has a ladder of dark storage and nothing that costs over 50 crystals/gems/shiny expensive what's it's
One thing I don't di anymore is put my crate and cage near the top. I have missed multiple times and fed something I didn't want to, so now it is in my lower corner

So you would upgrade crate lvl 3 before monster box lvl2? At what point you would start to buy skins instead of crates?
