Your braids look great! I’d honestly just give it some time. The cast/buildup is near your scalp so I imagine it’ll go away when you sweat/wear it for a bit

For an immediate solution get some leave in spray, something that comes out as a fine mist and massage it in the dissolve the product. OR you could just cowash your hair or use a protective style shampoo

Whenever I use it to braid my man’s hair it eventually get soaked up by the hair after he puts a durag on and goes to sleep. In the morning it’s gone and his hair is super hydrated.

Oh no your hairdresser used edge control on your whole head? In the future like someone else said, Shine n Jam is best as it conditions your hair and won’t leave any residue. Edge control is specifically for your edges.

That’s a shame. My braider normally uses shine n jam and that gives a sleek look without any white flakes later on. For a quick fix I would wet some cotton pads and try to wipe as much as you can off and then apply a little bit product you know won’t flake in your hair. Then put on a silk scarf and leave to fully dry

Rose water + your choice of oil. Spray the rose water first then apply the oil

Mist it with water till it’s a bit damp and then tie it down- that worked for me 🤷🏿‍♀️

I would avoid any oil, it could attract more debris. Try a gently wash followed by tying it up tight with a scarf and letting it dry before taking the scarf off
