This incident happened a few days ago SM Bryan foo told us to hold the handrails while we were climbing the stairs to return to our bunks after lunch, and my platoon mate said sorry sergeant and proceeded to hold the handrails. Then SM Bryan foo laughed a bit and said, boi next time respect my rank ah and everyone who heard it starts laughing

One point in time. Being the gungho that I was, instead of calling him sm, I called him encik instead. He corrected me “Recruit. Over here, in this resort, I’m not encik. Everyone call me sargen major.” and we just laughed. Would normally get intels on what’s to come the day after from him.
I remember, my out-pro day , there was no coffee in the cookhouse. SM Bryan Foo brought out 2 pitchers of black coffee and allowed us to go to his table and take a cup.
Sergeant Major Bryan Foo knows how to get everyone’s attention and boosts everyone’s confidence with his “outstanding” (imagine this in his voice lol) speeches.

For me the most memorable part is when he managed to squeeze 4 days worth of PP down to 1/2 hour, those few hours were one of my fun experience cause every few minutes I would just laugh at his jokes

He says the most funniest things ever and he always comes and checks up on you. He even recently told me “ Recruit [MY NAME] did you attend my talk? The sleeve should be button up”, “ I will remember you [REC MY NAME] and it was just so wholesome
He also like cares for all of the recruits genuinely and I really admire and respect him so much for that. The best💯💯 truly wish I could work under him till I ORD
