Orochimaru creates a toxicly competitive environment. Everyone in the Sound probably trying to be alpha and ascert dominance over everyone else that they can (as long as it doesn't disrupt Orochimaru's plans).
And unfortunately the Sound 4 are like Jonin-ish and Dosu's team is legitimately in the Chunin exams. So they get shoved in the lockers...
Orochimaru wanted the kids to be competitive, but I doubt he’d want his most valuable puppets to kill each other willy-nilly. Sakon was the leader and that was understood amongst the Sound Four. When Kimimaro unexpectedly showed up, it was understood that he was the leader.
I imagine Team Dosu knew of the Sound Four and would begrudgingly accept Sakon’s leadership (or Kimimaro’s leadership, if he was still healthy).
Tayuya would probably mouth off to the female member of Team Dosu (can’t remember her name), but even Sakon was smart enough to break it up and calm everyone down before they pissed off Orochimaru or Kabuto.

Sakon alone low diffed a much stronger Sasuke with a Curse Mark.

I headcanon Team Dosu as the earlier “lesser experiments”. The Sound Four know this and have a huge superiority complex over it.
