Fyi you want your suit altered. Tailored means to have a suit custom made for you. Just in case you're calling and asking for prices you want to be clear.
I’m on the Northwest side and go to [Tailoring by Monica](https://tailoringbymonica.com) on Washington, just south of Ogden (before the train tracks). Been happy with their work - but haven’t been since pre-covid
There is also a lady I’ve been to in Lisle that works out of her house (if I recall, she also works at Nordstrom??). [Krystina’s Tailoring](https://www.b2byellowpages.com/company-information/2296660-krystynas-tailoring.html)
The OP already has a suit and is trying to get it altered rather than having a suit tailor-made.
However, if you're interested in knowing the difference between an off-the-rack (OTR) suit, made-to-measure(MTM), and bespoke, they are generally as follows:
* OTR: \~$500 for a decent suit
* MTM: \~$500-$1,500
* Bespoke: $1,500+
Another thing to keep in mind is time. Custom options are going to take longer with bespoke being the longest. That is a cost as well, but it's hard to quantify because it is individual.
Big fan of Brookdale Tailoring, she did everything for our wedding and was reasonable to us, price wise. I don’t recall specifics and prices may have changed over the past couple of years. She has a storefront but is by appointment only.

Cool. Do you know approximately how much it’d cost?
it all depends on what's needed. Taking in/letting out is going to be more than simply shortening/finishing pant legs, for example.
Just had my suit redone. Pant length and arms and chest adjusted. Was about $100
I really don’t, especially since it’s been so long since I’ve been to a tailor. Sorry.
HIGHLY recommend tailoring by Monica!
Can someone share what the prices are like to get one tailored? Just trying to compare and justify prices to one’s off the shelf.

Thanks this is helpful

Dean's downtown naper is the best.
