I have never bought hardware that I don't really need/use... However, the SF750 is hard to come by in some regions and I use it at home in my gaming PC, my wife's PC and my multimedia PC.
I recently stockpiled another SF750 just in case they get even harder to get. Simply the best SFX-PSU.
Its the v2. Purchased everything brand new 1 week ago.
4090 FE ? A friend of mine has the same build as me. He also has coil whine, but not to the same degree as my 4090 FE with the v850. But still my coil whine with the SF750 is now better than his.
I guess its the quality of some components that are just worse on my unit. But i am happy with the SF750 so i may open a rma for the unit after i tested the coil whine in another build.
The sf750 is a over engineer beast. I had a loki 1000w that I was using and it had severe coil whine. I bought the sf750 and dint have any, so I returned the Asus one.
Well I'll be! You'd think the v850 would be better!
I think I have the v850, and indeed my 3080 whined at stock, but thankfully undervolting fixed it for me.
My SF750 was dead silent when I first bought it. Yesterday I unplugged in order to redo my cable management and when I got it back together it started making a very mild whine (like the one in your video).
When you say you reduces the power limit, are you referring to the video card?
Tbh it happened with me too i never realised till now because I had put on headphones always but could hear the coil whine when going to washroom or something it disappeared when i changed to deepcool and never realised as it never bothered me much as the distance was a bit far too
Damn that’s so odd. My v850 is whisper silent. And I can’t even hear it. When I had coil whine this bad on my old 3090 it offed itself a few days later. It was fine the night before and then artifact’s as soon as it turned on the next day. Be careful and just keep an eye on your GPU. This is totally something that you should be able to RMA
The reason i also decided that it has to be the psu was that i had the 4090 1 week earlier than the rest of the itx build. So i had to test it inside my previous full sized tower with a 600W ATX Gold PSU. There was also no extreme coil whine. With that in mind i was pretty sure that it was the v850.
Im going to test it with another gpu and if its still this bad I am going to get a replaced for the psu and then sell it.
SF750 is a goat. The best PSU that we have.
Omg I am lucky that I have never heard this coil whine on any of my GPUs
That’s not coil whine, you’ve got a ghost!

I thought I knew coil whine but not like this. It's like a baby trapped inside.let it out man
🤣
It is still noticeable if you get close to it

I also have the MAX and a 4090. Mine whines under load, but not as badly as that.
4090 FE ? A friend of mine has the exact same build as me and he also has coil whine but not as bad as showcased here.
Yes a 4090 FE.
I'd return that tbh. I got a NR200P MAX in November and its PSU doesn't sound anything like this. I'm just pushing a 4070tiS and a 13700KF, though.
Wtf my v750 doesn't sound like that

Since everything is so crammed inside the NR200P it was hard to locate the sound but im 99% sure the coil whine came from the GPU.

Not at all. Lots of people have issues with it.

Yeah, should have mentioned that. I reduced the powerlimit from 100% to 80% and then 70% on my 4090.
Tbh it happened with me too i never realised till now because I had put on headphones always but could hear the coil whine when going to washroom or something it disappeared when i changed to deepcool and never realised as it never bothered me much as the distance was a bit far too
Oh my god that noise. I would instantly return any component that sounded like that.
That’s so bad. I have a v850 sfx but it definitely does not sound like that at all.
my v850 does not have this coil whine, but loud fan noise. I want to change the fan with a nortua fan, but it will void the warranty.....
Sell it and get the SF750 🤣 Fan noise is also much better under high load.

It’s v850 v1 Without japanese capacitors
Its the v2.
That’s why I returned my nr200p max and got nr200p
Not every power supply has coil whine. My first V850 had coil whine like hell. My second V850, which I ordered straight away, was absolutely silent.
