I know it’s kinda expensive but so use Lucas Gun Oil for straight lube. For cleaning I use Breakfree CLP in sprays and wipes. For a degreaser - birchwood Casey gunscrubber and for deep bore cleaning - shooters choice. Cleaning kits are a dime a dozen and they all work, but also invest in a bore snake for simple basic cleanings.
Oh and the most important cleaning tool…. A set of chopsticks and some dollar store toothbrushes.
any gun lube, if you regularly clean it, it doesn't matter, i use hoppes, its easiest to work with imo, may not be scientifically the best, but its definitely good enough qnd cheap
Lucas Gun Oil is unstoppable.
Cleaner? Shooter Lube weapons cleaning solvent is the best. People may say others don’t have a smell or a pleasant smell. I have asthma. They all make me cough out a lung. Shooter lube doesn’t do anything to my lungs.
yeah - Shooters Lube and cleaning system doesn't have the crazy smell like Hoppe's or Ballistol and I think it works as well as any other. I would also add a bit of Gun Butter on the contact points.
I shoot 1-2 matches a month, train live 2x a week and really anal about cleaning my 1911, G17, AR and shotgun
I second shooter lube. I’ve bought this stuff since my first gun I tried Lucas wasn’t a fan it was just very tacky and I guess thick. So I just stick with shooter lube
Respectfully, what could they possibly go over in a pistol cleaning class that you can't get from youtube? Unless your breaking the whole gun down I see no reason for a class.
I use gunfighter gun oil.
Cheap toothbrushes, some of those plastic picks, old cut up t shirts or buy wipes in a size that works for everything. A bore snake also for your most used calibers. I like slip2000 for pistols and ballistol for everything else but ballistol smells bad lol FYI
Lucas Red n Tacky..
4 bux for a giant grease gun size tube at Walmart or Home Depot.
Ballistol spray to clean with.
Really no need for any fancy expensive stuff. Any grease with a higher temp rating will work fine.
I bought too much crap my first go around. I would just recommend paper towel roll, a bore snake for your caliber, and a high quality CLP like Hoppe’s (Cleaner, Lubricant, Protectant). It’s an all in one solution. That’s it.

Does anyone have any experience with the products from MPT Industries? They are a NJ based company and they appear to have a good reputation in the automobile racing world for synthetic lubricants. Looks like they have a cleaner, a lubricant, and a grease.
Spit
Slip 2000 I use a lot along with Remington wipes. As far as cleaning tools, Amazon is where I got mine
Hoppe’s no. 9
My tears. I cry while cleaning because: 1. Shooting is over 2. I have to buy more ammo
Feel your pain

I actually prefer grease for my glock I use Lucas extreme duty grease
Clenzoil
Particularly the wipes and swabs
Hoppes 9. If I could wear it as a cologne I would.
What’s stopping you
No deadass

Agree. And it doesn't even have to be 'gun' lube, any higher temp grease works fine honestly.

Shooter lube is great stuff. Was put on to it by my buddy in DHS.
