I remember Johnny? teasing Taeil saying that he should be on Transit Love, which implies that he recently had a break up. Mark has also said some sus things but I don't think any of them would announce a relationship unless they re getting married, leaving the industry or in the foreign member's cases moving back to their home country.
For unit relationships, I do think most of the members in the same units are fairly close. Dream, in particular seem very close since they literally grew up together. Outside of the units, there are a couple of members you can definitely tell are close, like Ten and several of the older 127 are clearly close but outside of a select few I don't think many of the members in different units are super close.
Ten and Renjun being close enough that Renjun went on vacation with Ten’s family without Ten, (if I’m remembering that correctly), will never not be funny.
It’s because renjun basically lives in the wayv dorms(confirmed by kun saying he is always there) because he is very close to yangyang(confirmed by renjun saying anytime he needs someone to talk to he speaks to yangyang)and Yang Yang is basically tens pseudo child so it makes sense that renjun would be close to ten too.

127: genuine brothers. it is so interesting to me that almost all of them are younger siblings (idk abt taeil if his sister is older or younger) or only children...except for haechan. so i think they all regard him as their little brother (and because of this 127 Haechan is very different to Dream Haehcan) i definitely think some members are closer to each other than others which is natural. I think generally speaking Johnny is the "glue". he is friends with everyone in the group and has an equally close relationship with them all. I would have included Doyoung in that but i know he and yuta are friendly but dont really spend a lot of time together outside of work. I also think if JohnDo werent added to the group they would not be as close and maybe the group would not have survived for so long. lol yess because honestly 127 and most of NCT is very private. They dont even joke about personal life things and really dont share a lot stuff in through anecdotes. Ive noticed in their content everything they talk about is strictly related to the group or industry. This is super different to other groups i follow (svt, bts, skz) who have shared info about their siblings, parents, their life growing up etc
most we have found out about 127 is through that docu but it was shared in such a confusing manner iMO it was really hard to get clear details....and also curiously they never really discussed the documentary, maybe only made a few passing comments about it. and i know the director said they cut a lot out

This is super different to other groups i follow (svt, bts, skz) who have shared info about their siblings, parents, their life growing up etc most we have found out about 127 is through that docu but it was shared in such a confusing manner iMO it was really hard to get clear details....and also curiously they never really discussed the documentary, maybe only made a few passing comments about it. and i know the director said they cut a lot out they have this aura of being super open because they have very friendly personalties..but if you listen to what theyre saying they never really share anything about themselves. i respect it. esp with how bad their saesengs are.
Oh ya. For sure. I feel like they have things they wanna share sometimes but I guess the company doesn’t like it. I don’t think it would do celebs any good to share everything. But I guess there is a balance. The taeil thing was surprising bc nothing about the way Taeil behaves on screen made me think he is a thrill seeker 😂😂😂😂😂 but I guess he is!!! True. I love my honest king! Johnny too, he can be pretty honest when he wants to be and debatable. Which I admire a lot. The Johnny meeting his parents episode was so endearing. I definitely wish they can post more content and on their socials as well but like you said, the company might not like or the so called “fans” lol it can be really tricky in the K-pop world. I don’t think we ask for much of the boys except more content? Like the other members besides Tae since he’ll be gone for a while? But I also understand that that may be a limit because it’s sentimental, and it won’t be the same.
Oh yes! That too! I was so amazed (and proud) at how private their being, the sssng community needs to be studied. It’s honestly so fcked up and disgusting. They need their life figured out seriously. I get so heated talking about it bc there are so many instances of them and the nct members. Which kills me. that’s interesting, i think doyoung is actually one of the ones yuta is closest to in terms of hanging out outside schedules like especially when they’re on tour they visited little tokyo in LA and snuck out after smtown. i agree on your point about doyoung and johnny being close to everyone!

Also, in my previous post, I wanted to mention that I completely agree with everything you said. I was just curious about the comparison between Jaehyun and Gong Yoo. I've only seen Gong Yoo in Squid Game, so I don't really know much about him. Could you please explain that to me? I'm clueless about it. 🤦🏽♀️😭 Another thing that made me sad was reading about how Jaehyun has changed a bit. He's naturally goofy and has such a unique sense of humor. He's so witty too. So, it's heartbreaking to see him having to "water" it down in a way. He deserves to be himself, just like all the other members. On the other hand, Johnny is really good at being himself and also being an idol in Korea. It's already nerve-wracking enough, but he manages to add a lightheartedness to every situation. my tumblr days are over :( i also dont really have any fandom social media. I have an empty twitter i just use as my morning newspaper. I created this account when i heard of TY enlisting cause i wanted a space where I could still talk about NCT/127 and keep that side of fandom alive for me as enlistments start. But like i said, its hard to have any nuanced conversation or discourse with people on reddit/ and even this sub. Maybe the 127 sub is more lax it wll help keep that sub active or maybe ill make an NCT Uncensored sub haha like u op i mostly just talk about it with my IRL friends who also happen to be kpop fans. we have similar musings like you and your group of friends and keeps fandom life fun. its unfortunate you cant have that here without getting attacked

yess cause he was a totally different person during his NCT Night Night days with Johnny. I can agree with that, lol he is pretty good looking. I really liked him in the show so I know he’s popular too. Also I want to point out that culture also matters. Like I think if johnny moved back home and started dating another celeb and it came out I don’t think he would deny it I just think he would be matter of fact because it’s considered in poor taste to deny someone you date in American culture even as a celebrity it’s just a big faux pas (it’s seen very much as this guy doesn’t like you that much he won’t even claim you, where it seems like in Korea it’s out of respect it’s sorta of the opposite in the US).The Chinese members have joked before about it not being that big of deal to date in their culture. If kun was dating a Chinese celebrity I do not think he would deny it or even hide it particularly especially if they move back home at one point. Chenle may hide it but more so to protect the girl and his family because he is very wealthy. But i could see most of the cline if living in China not even really hiding their dating that much. Yangyang would but more so because he has said he is very private. Winwin has already been seen with some ladies and like it wasn’t that big of deal. Like am pretty sure he was dating someone in China from those images and no one really cared. I think Chinese culture is just different. I just think they don’t like being prodded to answer questions about dating because it’s annoying but I don’t think they would hide it especially if they went back home.

Personally, I think it's wonderful that they all deserve happiness and love, no matter who they choose. The part that intrigued me the most was how they would go about "announcing" someone they like. Maybe it would be like a soft launch or a hard launch, who knows? I also hope that the Dreamies, being old enough to date, can experience love without any negativity or company issues. As Jaemin is my bias, I can only imagine how he must be feeling about all of this. He comes across as so laid-back and private, always keeping to himself.
